They have been coached extremely well as hitters. The elbow pad is a saving grace for them as everyone of them hang it over the plate taking away the pitcher's confidence and zone. The Hawaii hitters dominate the box both physically and with confidence.
The Hawaii coach reminds me of my high school coach, not worried about the score, only focused on the now - that at bat, that pitch, that play. We made the playoffs my senior year, but did not win the state championship. Looking back, we definitely over achieved. Kudos to every coach who can get their kids to focus on the now.

The Honolulu boys tend to come from affluent families and go to Punahou, or Iolani, or Mid-Pac, where tuition is $28k/year. By high school they are looking at becoming doctors or investment bankers, and sports doesn't mean as much to them.
Simply an amazing performance by the USA (Hawaii) Team. They dominated every game in the series. Major League Baseball (MLB) scouts should keep an eye on these boys--especially the homerun hitters and the great pitchers. There is another Shohei Ohtani-type kid who is both a homerun hitter and a great pitcher. I have no doubts that at least a half-dozen of these kids will eventually end up on MLB teams. @@yagotta1 At least two of those hit batters should not have counted. The batter has to make an attempt to avoid the pitch, and they made none at all. Respect to all the Curacao players who played their hearts out till the very end. They left it all on the field and played as well as any team in the world. But I will say that their coach sold hard. From now until forever, coaches are gonna look back at this Curacao team and learn to make sure you have some sort of strategy or endgame in case you get to the finals. I get that you play to win but Burning the best pitcher in the tournament while you led by 5 in the 4th inning will go down as one of the worst coaching decisions ever made in LLWS history.

Hawaii fan here. Just a shame that Curacao's "best" pitcher wasn't available because I'm getting tired of that excuse for why they lost. Even the announcers were saying that excuse. The only thing it shows is that Curacao was only relying on one player to win.
In games like life you got to play with the hand you’re dealt. Curaçao just ran out of luck not having their ace. Happens with a lot of teams. Unfortunately poor loser fans can’t accept this fact.

@@kiarakemp9458 I think everyone is congratulating Hawaii but at the same time most familiar with little league realize how truly odd it is to see a team like this.. it’s not exactly likely that you see a local all star team that is heads and shoulders above all other all star teams. You rarely if ever see teams like this. I don’t think I ever have….?
@@brianmeen2158 yea but that doesn’t mean they are cheating because the other teams are not that good to question why they are so great that’s discrediting them
The Hawaiian kids handled hit by-pitch situations way more professionally than MLB pro players. At least 10 of them got hit and none had emotional outburst nor taken it personal. CLASS
First and foremost, THANK YOU FOR ALL THESE WONDERFUL HIGHLIGHTS! I would like to address those here accusing Hawaii of cheating. Unless you have evidence to back up what you are saying, please don't detract from the hard work of all these little leaguers, Hawaii included. No doubt there have been teams that have cheated in the past and I'm sure it's not 100% clean, but that's not the fault of the children. Any and all cheating, if it exists, is the direct result of selfish adults, not the kids. To just blatantly accuse a team of cheating based soley on what size the kids are is just as bad as cheating itself. Let's face it, at this age, discipline makes a big difference. It's not until high school that natural talent and size start to really come into play. This is why a super star in the LLWS may just be an average ball player by the time they are im HS, and it's not that he got worst. Rather, it's just that his peers caught up to him. At this age his body may have matured sooner or maybe a kid is more dedicated to the sport. Bodies change and so do kids attitudes in the time between this and high school. Anyone who's ever played organized sports of anykind knows that the number one factor affecting the quality of the team is the size of the pool the team is drawn from. If there"s any cheating, this is the number one culprit--pulling talent from outside your district. You have to remember, these teams are NOT ALL-STAR teams. They don't have 6 ace pitchers, each specifically hand-picked for that role. If they are lucky, they have two strong pitchers. Likewise, they don't have star athletes at every position like a highly competive travel team. The team that wins is usually the one that has the best overall team, a combination of good hitting and pitching. Hawaii won because they are the most well-rounded team this year. I assure you, not to knock these kids, but the LLWS is NOT an MLB farm. The vast majority of these kids are NOT the best out there. They just happen to be on a team that plays well together. There are many, many much much more talented players out there who just don't happen to be lucky enough to have a solid enough team to make it to the LLWS. For those who don't know any better, they see a kid who's killing it in the LLWS and they automatically think this kid is destined fot the big leagues, but the real truth is, very few LLWS participants have made it to the big leagues. If he's facing the very best pitchers at this age, it's likely he'll not fare as well. In all, there have only been 64 MLB players who participated in the LLWS! And only 3 who've made it to the LLWS, College World Series, and MLB world series. This tells you the LLWS is not the place people should be turning to when looking for future MLB players as the vast majority of MLB players never make it to the LLWS. So please, give these hard-working kids their moment in the spotlight because they deserve it. Don't try to take it away just because you don't like a particular team.
WOW, that is the most clearest and honest info I have gotten yet from ANYONE on UA-cam since the LLWS started. You for sure have done your homework and all of us from Hawaii say "MAHALO" for your kindness. IMUA

@@howzt That is sad considering Little League is color blind. These are children playing a sport they love. They all speak the same language, the language of baseball. It's the adults who cheat and try to sow the seeds of division where there is none. These kids respect one another and many have made frienships that they never would have made had it not been for the LLWS. It's sad that it's always the adults who instigate such things. Sad that hatred and division is something children learn from adults but unfortunately, such is the world we live in. Funny how these FULL BLOODED AMERICANS, the very kids representing this country in the LLWS are somehow not "American" enough. Why? What is it that makes them less of an Anerican. @@johngarza7601 to my understanding chicago didn't have older players... it was because they brought kids from outside of their district to play with Jackie Robinson west

They have been coached extremely well as hitters. The elbow pad is a saving grace for them as everyone of them hang it over the plate taking away the pitcher's confidence and zone. The Hawaii hitters dominate the box both physically and with confidence.
Congratulations, Hawaii! Thank you, Wheels, for posting the highlights! - Bob

Hope some of these kids on both Hawaii and Curacao make it onto the big leagues. Congrats to both teams! But Hawaii...they were so dominant this year!
Unlikely but you never know
The playing field gets bigger and many of these boys - puberty will treat differently, some will grow much bigger and stronger, others will not as much - genetic lottery will have more to say than early child hood resources
My guess is most of these clubs come from upper middle class or affluent neighborhoods - the Honolulu team was no exception
But who cares for now, I’m basking in the glory these kids have brought to our little island 🏝 you made me so proud!!
@@thetrevster6983 when else should they be good besides little league on a world stage? is there a medium league? i mean theres a few people from hawaii in the MLB and theres only a million or so people in the state. and baseball isnt even really the main sport at all. you seem to have a low IQ… dont have kids please…
@@thetrevster6983 and your'e a never was good. pathetic.
The Honolulu boys tend to come from affluent families and go to Punahou, or Iolani, or Mid-Pac, where tuition is $28k/year. By high school they are looking at becoming doctors or investment bankers, and sports doesn't mean as much to them.
Lancaster has pro level form and placement on his pitches. Keep working young man. The future is all yours!!!
The Los Angeles Angels should hire Hawaii's coach. He would make the Angels into a winner. Congratulations from a former Hawaii boy (born and raised in Hawaii for the first 20 years of my 80-year life thus far). Funny how it is more fun watching these Little League players than watching MLB. Shaka, brah!

Man you'd think so, but a lot has to happen in the next 6 years for them and there are a lot of other sanctioning groups that other 12 year olds play under. But yes, these kids are very very very good ball players.
Great dominance Hawai... Congrats...Very effective tactic of Hawai Coach: ask to his players to bat VERY CLOSE to home plate to pressure Curazao pitchers and wait for the pitchers errors. Congrats Curazao... what a LLWS2022 series. Regards from Caracas, Venezuela
Plus the Hawaii pitchers were more accurate and didn’t hit the batters as much
@@yagotta1 At least two of those hit batters should not have counted. The batter has to make an attempt to avoid the pitch, and they made none at all. A lot of Little League coaches tell their players to just let the ball hit them, but that's (a) against the rules, even if umps don't call it nearly enough and (b) unsportsmanlike.
@@puckerings Here is a strategy. Don’t throw so close to the inside.
Yes Hawaii good good coaches
@@puckerings today we saw Curazao pitchers and coaches, didn't make correct adjustments for the Hawaiian players when batting. This require practice and Hawaiians do it again so well. They came well trained to apply it in the LLWS2022. See the game Hawaii vs Tennessee.
12:25. I like umpires like that, especially in little league, middle school, and high school. Even though their job is to basically officiate games, they should still show some affection to the kids playing the game they love.
Congrats Hawaii!! Hard work, dedication, discipline, and all while having fun. Solid baseball from ground up. Hawaii has like three other teams in this age group that would’ve swept the little league World Series as well. 808 built different let’s goooo! 🤙🏾🔥

Great stuff. Great kids, great parents, great coaches, great results 👍
Cheeeee hoo Hawaii bangers hard hitters even the seniors. My husband 68 born and raised in Kohala hit 4 HR’s in state senior softball tournament on Oahu beginning of August. They never STOP!!!!
Wouldn’t matter in this game. Hawaii was too dominant.
Rijke might've slowed them down. In fact, he could've led a complete 6 inning game and not get mercy ruled but Hawaii would still win

Hawaii was dangerous from the jump and had too many hitters and pitching. Also, Curaçao wasn’t really prepared for that style of baseball. But hats off to Curacao for for bringing Caribbean style baseball to the World

Hawaii fan here. Just a shame that Curacao's "best" pitcher wasn't available because I'm getting tired of that excuse for why they lost. Even the announcers were saying that excuse. The only thing it shows is that Curacao was only relying on one player to win.
Imagine pitchers sick gut feeling knowing that there's NOTHING he can do...ZERO
In games like life you got to play with the hand you’re dealt. Curaçao just ran out of luck not having their ace. Happens with a lot of teams. Unfortunately poor loser fans can’t accept this fact.
I would have loved to see that matchup, even for an inning or two. That's the advantage of pitching depth of our boys. 5 or 6 very capable arms?

@@kiarakemp9458 I think everyone is congratulating Hawaii but at the same time most familiar with little league realize how truly odd it is to see a team like this.. it’s not exactly likely that you see a local all star team that is heads and shoulders above all other all star teams. @@brianmeen2158 yea but that doesn’t mean they are cheating because the other teams are not that good to question why they are so great that’s discrediting them
Two words. Sour grapes. The day Hawaii dominates 10 years straight winning 90% of the championships like Taiwan is the day I believe in cheating.
The Hawaiian kids handled hit by-pitch situations way more professionally than MLB pro players. At least 10 of them got hit and none had emotional outburst nor taken it personal. CLASS
The US team was too deep for everyone.
Deep in Pitching
Deep in hitting
Best Defense
From Caribbean 🇵🇷 congratulations to 🇨🇼 on amazing baseball ⚾ 👏 Team Caribbean strong 💪
IMUA
Hawaii doesn't cheat, and they are one of the most respectful teams out there, year after year. The only reason people try to defame them is racism. The racists are outing themselves in the comments.

As best I can tell, they represent the very best of what it means to be an American. What more do they need to possess to be Americans?
