Much better than the zodias. The zodias is too stiff for bfs fishing imo unless your fishing for bass it might be ok or bfs frogging haha the expride is much more enjoyable to fish with and way more versatile
Hi I've been doing allot of topwater with it the past few nights with no issues atal using a 4cm 4g popper and I've also had no bother with hook ups and losing fish with cranks and twitchbaits . But i wouldn't call it slow ,it recovers nice and fast for twitchbait which i like and i jig allot also so its perfect...its not as stiff as the zodias thats for sure and bends much further down the blank ...I'm loving it , very versatile in my opinion but I'm no expert. I'll have a couple more videos with it soon one of them I had a 42cm perch on the topwater and a bunch of small ones another session
Hi thanks allot. Definitely worth the upgrade imo the expride has a much nicer feel too it and also the blank is much nicer ,more versatile and abit more parabolic
@@marius5535 nice let me know how you like it . Its much easier to throw those smaller lure on the expride that's for sure. But it also depends what you are fishing for personally I think the zodias would make a better bfs rod for zander as its stiffer with abit more backbone but the expride is much better for perch . I've had many zander on the expride but a couple big ones got away with there big boney mouths 😆
@@NetfishnChill I will come back with a reply, not now, in a month or two:) for big Perch, Zander , small pike i use the Zodias m2 5-15(spinning), and for pike the Zodias H2 12-42( casting), All great rods. The expride i will use it just for Perch with Jig, Ned and Carolina rig. The Zodias BFS , imo is not as sensitive as the 5-15g, and not the best rod for Finesse rigs, maybe better for hardbaits .
@@marius5535 yeh I noticed the zodias wasn't so sensitive . Expride is . You feel bites from the smallest of perch . But at 6.3 you might struggle casting a carolina rig very far with it I use it for everything but carolina
Yeh not so bad but was also using the curado bfs which is also 2.5-3g is its limit. I think the dobyns is longer no? Maybe this is a better quality rod blank and guide wise but not looked into the dobyns much but if you want to cast 2g the expride is maybe not the best option

How heavy of a lure have you thrown on this rod? It feels like it would handle 1/2oz pretty easily.
I wouldn't throw more than 12g or its gonna be overloaded

How’d you get this rod? I ordered one in April and nobody seems to know when these rods are going to get to the States.
Luckily in Netherlands only 1 shop I know of is able to get some. Hope you can get one soon such awesome rods
