Nice to see EL AL in San Fran. I saw their 787-9 this year in Bangkok and the "Rehovot" in 2022 in New York Kennedy. With all the PAL jets i have a long history too. I saw the RP-C 7777 in Sydney in 2019 and i flew with the A 330-300 from Ninoy Akino via Abu Dhabi to Frankfurt back in 2018 when we brought our A 340-300 ( Lufthansa D-AIGS ) for a complete D check to Manila. That was the only time that i had the chance to be on board from our company to make a ferry flight with an empty aircraft.

Seems that Business Class Seating is very out of date on the PAL 777. I would rather pay to fly on EVA. When will PAL FINALLY get A350 flying from both SFO and LAX. Then I might try them again. INGAT
I just flew PAL150 SFO to MNL business class two weeks ago. I did sleep good in the “lay flat” seat and customer service was good. However, still , 3 years later, very outdated for the price. Plus I paid $24.99 for unlimited streaming wifi that never worked. No refund.

One is in this video their B777-3B5/ER 2-3-2 Prestige Class sleeper seats service wise Prestige Class Korean Air = CX Business class = Eva Air Royal Laurel = NH = OZ = SQ (all are 5 star Skytrax Airlines that PR competes with from their hubs to MNL)> PR Mabuhay Class service which you did. Same also applies to JFK/EWR to MNL.

I guess it’s because they have a long layover in SFO so they move it to the side to make way for other planes that would need to park beside the gates. ☺️

Really good service but quite outdated hard product (seats and IFE). I haven’t tried the updated Business Class seats on the A350 though but I’ve heard (from my parents lol) that they prefer the older seats on the 777 because of the legroom.
I think it depends. Some people (myself included since it’s what my parents taught me when I first flew long haul 22 years ago) use it to wipe their faces then their hands. Some use it to wipe the table and/or their seat. Good question though I never thought about it! ☺️
If I am correct in understanding the current level of service, there are no welcome drinks or any difference between Economy and Business Class, so why waste the money?
Looks nice but as a solo traveller I hate to think that some stranger is either going to be climbing over me or I them to get to the toilet or a stretch of legs. Not good.
Nice review. Probably one of the more immersive reviews of PAL's older 777 Recaro seats. It seems it's not as bad as I thought it would be compared to their newer Zodiac Aura 777 seats.

When I watch a video for the class of service I intend to fly on a particular airline, I don’t need a half an hours worth of airport scenes, Tarmac views, announcement boards, and similar minutia. Just show me the features of the class of service and be done with it. Only about five minutes of this video were informative.
If I’m going to spend money in business class to fly comfortably, I would not pay for an air ticket where I have to sleep next to someone or ask or be asked to be able to go to the restroom (I’m diabetic!!!)

Best flight for me, direct and no stop over or change of planes! You can rest and sleep straight with no disturbance! I have tried other flights but now I always fly with this airline. I also prefer their food and service.

T2 is closed during early morning dawn, so all scheduled PAL flights arriving and deparating during this time are diverted to T1

I’ve never been to the Middle East but I hope to do so someday. I’ve heard that PAL ME flights suck big time though. No PTVs and super outdated seats.

Nice video from SFO. Sucks to have 2-2-2 configuration in long-haul Business Class when almost every other trans-Pacific airline has 1-2-1.
