with that being said question for ragegaming. does amplify power even work with this build? it boosts elemental attacks and this is a non-elemental build...

Non-elemental counts as an element. It's a really unfortunate translation decision, but I've tested it and it does in fact increase non-elemental damage.
Man these skills are great, good thing we don't find monsters like these in our Hunts eh?

A good pvp gene you could swap divine blessing for is panacea XL, I know it's a pain to farm but in some situations it can be better than DB

Normal, Stygian, and Thunderlord. Which surprisingly cover the 3 “combat types?”.
Well normal will need a little to be at the same lv as the other 2 but it’ shouldn’t be to ineffective
Normal isn't quite as strong, realistically silverwind works better for speed; it's still fun to use all 3 though.😂
I am 24 seconds in and all I can say is... THIS IS WHY I'M RUNNING TENACITY *AND* ANTIPOISON ON MY BLOODBATH. F E A R
If you wanna have more utility there Cotton consider using Rathalos Venom gene just to have a single target non elemental power move that can also apply poison so you can use your Bloodbath against anything you'd like. You'll likely lose that speed bingo but I'd trade 10% extra damage from speed for more versatility in having each attack type and another move to apply poison.
With that said I'm kinda getting tired of most builds throwing in poison/paralysis/salt the wound/infliction rate up and calling it a day on non elemental monsties. It's definitely amusing make no mistake on that but I like sheer raw damage on my Bloodbath and love doing endless HtH with single target skills. In PvP from what I've seen is more and more are wising up to status and using Panacea (L) or (XL) maxed out. (EDIT) Not that it'll stop the legendary Elvis Cottonhead from winning.

The intro got me thinking: Does anyone else think Yian Garuga should be a way Stronger Monstie? Like I'd have been fine waiting longer to have what is inarguably the Strongest Bird Wyvern. I mean, Iceborne showed us those fuckers can make DEVILJHO run away after one tail swipe! And yet it's only like a 2 Star Monstie... What? Just make the first time you can find its egg after the Glavenus fight.
That cutscene in Iceborne made me go, "Well shit, okay..."
Followed by, "I guess it's my turn to get bitch slapped..."

I did a similar build with a Congala, beat the main story with that chubby pink beast. I mostly just enjoyed the burping and farting.

Very similar to my Silverwind Nargacuga build. Not bad
My Bloodbath Diablos King will gladly take this lessons to crush his enemies with even less mercy

i wonder if its possibly for them to make a actual monster rider spin off game? have it play like normal monster hunter but work with other monsters that you either tame or hatch. sounds really cool if done right haha
Not only would that be a coding nightmare, it would get clustered far too quickly. Imagine 4 hunters and 4 full grown Monsters fighting a singular other monster - as everyone would complain if they didn't get to have their own desired tamed monster to use on the same mission. It would just be far too chaotic on the screen to do anything. We already have two palicos or palamutes in Rise when alone, and every person having 1 when partied up. Plus the monster riding mechanic of the silkbinds. That is arguably going to be the closest that dream could ever get.
