I own an 01' GS300 I'm going to try this. I've never stepped on it like that. But my 2jz has balls and runs so smooth. I love it. Runs like new after 20 years and 192k miles.
I got one at 297k. Engine still runs smooth and still has good rings. Making sure the car is free from rust and keeping the oil and trans fluid clean is key.
That was good..But if you want to see a big difference..Put the gear in low/manual and behind the steering wheel on the left side is a button to shift up 😜..alot of ppl do not no about that..and the RPMs are going to go higher so make sure to be ready
i'm about to swap mine with the 2jz-gte and a nice little 5 speed automatic but even stock with the ECU if i were to turbo it would be pushing close to 576hp
@@i8yourDog before i had enough money saved up i needed new tires and my front pump seal went out so i had to sadly toss another a-680e in but the second i have another daily this one will be getting lots of love
i wasnt expecting much but it actually didnt do too bad for a large car with a small motor. i could easily see how these would be an elite car in japan with one of the turbo motors in it stock. but on paper the car would seem very lackluster.
@@ssjdavid your not wrong. if you can find an aristo motor and swap it its the factory turbo one with coil on plug and never worry about that thing. ive been heavily considering one of these for my daily due to the reliability and fun factor.
@@ssjdavid my daily is a torque monster s10 blazer and lets just say i need something with a little better street manners. parts arent that cheap for it at this point cause the things it breaks are usually big lol. currently waiting on another transmission.
@@NFLbts Since I live in Brunei, NA-T conversions are quite rare. I bought the NA-T kit from one of my relatives for 1500 BND. Incl everything that is needed for the build. And 1255 BND for the installing. You should convert it to USD. Kinda cheap for me
hi on Drive mode are u able to go past 2k rpm in 1st gear whenever i floor it from first it shifts quickly then from 2nd gear onwards it goes till 6krpm
Yes, mine goes past 2k in D. I had that same issue awhile back. I dnt really know why it's working now. I feel like it had to do with my silly self a few years ago, who decided to switch from unleaded to premium & caused them to mix, causing engine & tranny issues. Does that problem still exist for you?
