She is by far the most honest person I ever saw on the show. A bit blunt, but I like that. 'What do you do all day?' ' I sit and I eat'. They all do, but she is not trying to hide it.

YEESSS! I was so shocked and amazed she actually took accountability for her own actions!! That's definitely not the normal for many patients on this show. The brutal honesty was extremely refreshing!

You could almost hear Dr Now chuckling. He was still stern, but nobody says "I let my craving take over," or "I messed up." And she was a hero stepping in to take care of those kids. I know they don't need to keep candy for the kids, but I thought it was nice that Dr Now didn't lecture. Altho Dr Now & family are all over that show, his son is a producer, I feel like Dr Now has a big hand in the weird way it gets edited. Someone must have told him he's fat too at some point lol, but that clip never sees the light of day. No way one of the rude patients hasn't mentioned that, at 80+, he's running some risks with that BMI. My dad was slightly overweight at 80, and had severe Alzheimer's, and his doc was very focused on getting his weight down 20 lbs at all costs.

I gotta say Rose is a breath of fresh air. She took the Dr. seriously, didn't make excuses, and successfully used her family as motivation. Even when she slipped up she totally owned up to it. And to boot, she was older than most of the people featured which doubtlessly made things even more difficult. Burt nope, she turned it around. Never too late!

This lady is inspirational, she is one of the most honest people I've seen on my 600lb life. Sometimes people do just need the knowledge to eat properly as well as the motivation. I thought I used to have a pretty healthy diet until I suffered a spinal injury 8 yes ago, I was extremely active so I could get away with a little bit of not so healthy food. After my spinal injury I put on 30kg I hadn't changed my diet, but I wasn't running 7km marathons or walking 22,000 steps 5 days a week or in general doing the workouts I used to do. I've recently seen a dietitian and nutritionist and she explained so much to me that I didn't know or think about, especially now I can't exercise like I used to. But I'm going to start my journey and I know it won't be an overnight thing, but I think I will save this video to watch when I'm feeling unmotivated. I've been watching your channel for a while and your story motivated me to ask to see a dietitian, so thank you 😊

A gallon! That is 3.8 litres. Our health recommendations in Australia (which is hot and dry) is between 1.5 and 2 litres. Also if you eat a bunch of fresh fruit and vegetables it is less because you get loads of water from those. I don't know how you drink 3.8 litres without feeling sick. You must be peeing like a race horse. Is it an American thing to think more is always better?

And it’s lovely to see how much her husband loves her. He’s an upstanding guy with a decent job, not someone just looking for a place to live.

Rose has to be one of the nicest and most likeable people on this show. I think she’ll also be one of the most successful ones.

    • @katamine11
      @katamine11 5 місяців тому

100000%. I LOVE Rose. Though I will say it’s pretty jarring the effect severe trauma has on people. The successful ones almost ALWAYS have significantly less trauma. Not to say that they haven’t had it rough too, and Rose has certainly gone through her share of heartbreak, but she didn’t mention SA or anything like that and most of the really successful ones with great attitudes usually don’t. Of course we don’t know her whole story and what she’s been through, it’s possible she simply didn’t mention more traumatic stuff. But still I feel like it can’t be ignored that some of the worst behaved and least successful/most unsuccessful people on this show have often gone through SEVERE trauma, like SA and stuff. It’s sad because while a lot of those people truly are infuriating and unlikable at times, you have to remember what made them like that, and yes, severe trauma CAN and DOES very VERY frequently make people behave badly and not be well-adjusted and self-destruct majorly because of the severe mental stress and damage it causes. That’s not to say these people shouldn’t still be held accountable but…you can’t really blame them and it’s just so sad. What a horribly unfair awful world we live in that one can have evil things done to them by evil people through NO fault of their own, and then not only that but having those things happen to them then ALSO drastically reduces the chance they’ll ever be successful or happy in life, makes them self destruct, and makes them ultimately act in a way that makes them disliked and pushes people away because they’re miserable, but it’s ultimately not their fault in any way. Like you not only have this unimaginably HORRIBLE thing happen to you that makes you want to die but then you’re literally punished your whole life for it in just about every way imaginable, punished for being a victim. It’s really horrible and heartbreaking. Whereas the ultimately successful and well adjusted people on this show will have more normal hardships, like divorce, being cheated on, loss, maybe some neglect or emotional neglect as a child or something but it’s never anything super crazy. It’s almost like if your trauma is severe enough there’s basically no hope, or at least the cards are HIGHLY stacked against you-I mean VERY highly to where it’s nearly impossible, which is just so horribly sad and depressing. As much as I wish there was I feel like there’s really almost nothing that can be done for someone’s who’s gone through some truly horrific trauma, especially s**ual in nature, like it’s basically a death sentence but worse when that happens to you, and therefore I think the only real solution there is, or at least the closest thing to a solution, is to sentence to death any and all of the sick freaks who do this evil stuff to people, unless it’s done to another ra***/ped****** because they deserve a taste of their own medicine anyway. Or at least lock all the r******/p********* up together with eachother and no one else, not even guards, and throw away the key and let them r*** and unalive eachother lol. HeII I’d love to watch that! 😂
Edit: sorry about the messed up formatting btw, it’s because I have to censor myself so UA-cam doesn’t delete my comment but using * also boldens words so just ignore the sections that are boldened it’s just a formatting glitch. Thank UA-cam for the unnecessary censorship! You could just, you know, make it NOT FOR KIDS (aside from the kids UA-cam) which it’s already not and everyone knows that, hence the existence of KIDS youtube, so that us adults could communicate with eachother unencumbered, but that would somehow eat into your already insanely high profits apparently, so instead we have to deal with this b***s***. Oh and fyi, kids aren’t THAT f***ing STUPID, they know EXACTLY what words are being “hidden” behind those stupid little asterisks. It’s like when parents spell out a word instead of just saying it in front of their kids who KNOW HOW TO READ. Sometimes I swear adults are actually dumber than kids. I mean to be fair, it’s not like making UA-cam officially “not for kids” would ACTUALLY keep kids out at all, much like alcohol and pron websites age verification does literally f*** all, but it would legally protect you guys (if that’s even necessary, which I don’t really see how it could be but people sue over all kinds of dumb s***) or at least/more importantly make you look good to all the idiot adults who thinks it somehow makes a difference or is necessary to not have insane levels of censorship or most laughably of all, actually keeps kids out. Because these morons can’t understand or accept that kids WILL see swear words and everything else in the world and in the internet that you and any other adult can see, and that’s OK-ITS PART OF LIFE, but apparently these people forgot they were ever kids before. So let’s just ruin stuff for adults (aka everyone else) to run a fools errand that even its intended purpose that it fails to accomplish anyway is completely misguided and helps no one. But I digress, f*** censorship, rant over.

@@IrishAmericanGenXer as someone who has gone through weight loss surgery and still experiences stalls in weight loss, I can confirm it's not just about calories in and calories out. As soon as PMS symptoms hit, the water retention starts and I can't lose weight. Also dealing with my diabetes more prior to surgery made it harder. Hormones play more of a battle for some than you clearly care to realize. Same with medications. This is one of the few episodes that I actually like the person that is on the show. Rose is amazing she's sweet and kind and very caring. I wish her all the success in the world and I hope she gets to be active with her grandbabies. Most of the time the people on the show are some of the most rude, self-centered, manipulative jerks in the world. A lot of times it's the women on the show too that are really bad. Rose is probably one of the better people on the show. I really do want her to be successful. 😊

Eating Doritos without teeth sounds almost as bad as eating captain crunch (razer blade crunch) without teeth.

You know what we’re all doing? Self medicating. Every one of our vices is trying to feel better. And EVERYTHING can spin out of control. I see guys at the gym spinning out of control in the other direction for gods sake! The hard part is actually fixing what the hell is wrong that your vice is numbing. And it likely won’t be singular🤣

You know you’ve gotten desensitized to this show when the 500lbs makes you go “damn that’s not that bad” 💀

    What a legend 👏
Rose has to be the first 600 pounds person I've seen be honest with herself and Dr Now. Really really happy it all worked out. I think UA-cam is the wrong platform for the dog s**t diet show🤦😬
Thanks Sean great vid as always ❤🦘🇦🇺

Is there a class that teaches videographers to take the most unflattering angles of human beings so they resemble inhuman size beings?
I’ve never seen shots of people like this before 600 Lb Life aired.

They must be lying on the ground to get that angle!

She is probably one of my favorite people to be in this show. She stepped up, took responsibility, and didn’t play the “I don’t know what happened” game when she didn’t have a good weigh-in.

I just love Rose. She has been honest from the beginning. Sean, the other night I was watching you and you were encouraging watchers to subscribe and I did that night. You then came on today and announced that you hit your subscriber target. I’m so happy for you. And I usually watch a lot of crime shows trying to find and put away the person that murdered another person and I just cry all the time. My husband said I need to watch other shows that make me laugh. You definitely make me laugh so hard because of your sense of humor. Thanks for sharing these with us!

Congratulations on your 100k. Well deserved as you present as a caring, grounded, smart and humorous young man. What you have achieved with your weight loss should be an inspiration to others with the same challenge. From Adelaide, South Australia.

Rose was one of my favorites on the show! She reminded me of my grandmother with her sweetness and no bs attitude. When she hit her goal I was so excited for her and she still continued to work hard. She was honest and upfront on her mistakes but she still worked hard to prove she can do it. I wish the best and a happy life to spend the most time with her grandkids!

I just love this lady! I hope she’s still doing good. Her heart and lungs will certainly improve with weight loss and she has a lot to look forward to. Lovely family too. Very encouraging to all of us who are trying to lose the weight and keep it off. You go Rose!!
