I agree, we need to get rid of party hunting in Iowa.

Semi auto 350 legends and 450s with 10 round clips are a big advantage over shotguns out to 200 yrds plus . I agree

I can tell you why numbers are down of deer and big bucks. This is applicable to all lower 48
Since then, look at how many small homesteads and hobby farms or small parcels that have been sold, say 5 acres to 20 acres, its off the charts and the vast majority of them are being hunted, and hunted very, very heavily. Just look at all of the channels on here and episodes dedicated to small tract hunting. You've got channels here dedicated to 5 acre tracts, and telling people that they can kill big bucks on 5 acres every year. Yes, they can if their adjoining large land owners that are holding deer. What those small tracts are doing is killing deer being grown and holding on larger adjoining properties. At my farm it used to be just me for about 700 acres, now there are small homesteads all around it, they all put feeders in their backyards that back up to our woods and they shoot deer from their kitchen window every time they see one. They drag it to the barn or shed, clean it and its like it never happened. I talk to people all over my state and their seeing the same thing.

1 other example on a 60 acre tract next to me, on 1 weekend this past season they had 13 people hunting a.m. and p.m. both days. I could literally see them in the trees in their climbers. If a deer stands up they shoot it. Its changing numbers and its making the deer behavior patterns change. Seeing a deer in daylight period is a feat now.

serious question: Why are Native grasses so expensive?
