@Colbourg, I appreciate your kind words and support, thank you. These prehistoric birds are pretty stealth as they wait for their prey. It was fun to watch nature being nature. Best...Corrie
Tasty treats for the heron😂 We see one every so often in the little river near us. There are fish in the river but I've never seen it catch anything. Have a great weekend Corrie.😊
@user-jo6zo6ju9b, thanks Miranda, I am truly grateful for your always kind words and support. It amazes me how "stealth" these prehistoric birds can be as they wait for their tasty treats. Sorry for my slow reply, I was in Comox for the airshow, it was amazing and just got home. Best...Corrie

My daughter was around 6 when we were at the park and she watched a heron fly in and grab a duckling then swallow it whole while it was still alive and squawking, then grab a second one and fly off with it. The whole time the mother duck was trying to scare it away but it didn't work. It was one of her most traumatic events as a child and it gave her night terrors for a couple years. To this day, she hates these birds!
@TheQman69, oh my goodness, that is terrible. I've captured some not so nice nature, I don't share that footage. I have also seen baby eagles having heron babies as dinner. It wasn't a pleasant sight, but nature none the less. I appreciate your engagement and support, thank you. Best...Corrie
This is such fantastic footage Thanks Corrie!
