Thank you, Indie. Wanted to let you know that there is an orb darting across your screen numerous times throughout the show. In other words, you have a spirit friend. Not scary. A friendly one.
As a fellow Lebanese Palestinian living in the diaspora in Australia, it was amazing to hear your story and that you are going through to motions of learning about your Palestinian identity and who you are to the core. This last 10 years I’ve been going through that journey too but it felt so isolating and lonely because you feel helpless and like people can’t relate because the topic is so taboo (my father used western names for us after 9/11 to prevent bullying or being politicised and I would refrain from telling people my ethnicity).. and now with the amplification of the last six months it has been like that for so many of us as we feel such a deep connection to Palestine and it’s people- we are a large family spread out all over the world that all hold a truly special connection beginning with our grandparents and parents stories of back home to what we feel in our bones when we think about our culture and see what our people are going through. And thanks to channels like this and Jewish individuals like Matt, Daniel, Aaron and Katie and of course Norman and Gabor, we find that connection with them too. I’ve learnt so much about Judaism and your stories too. Thank you all so much for contributing to the world what you do. My heart is full for ALL of you. Free Palestine.

Exactly, Matt, I was never a blatantly maternal type of woman, but since having kids I cannot bear to see children getting hurt. It feels like all those kids in Gaza could have been mine. And if the chips had fallen differently, a couple of them could have been.
Indie, I'm Palestinian in the diaspora as well - and I resonate so much with your story. I've also recently been super interested in the Israeli psychology and why people believe what they do, your channel is a gem! As is this podcast! Thank you all for the work that you put out ❤

I couldn't agree more. I'm a straight old fogey and drag used to make me feel uncomfortable. Indie is such a wonderful guy and really helped me understand what's been going on and the psychology is off the chart.

I wanted to thank you guys. As a person currently living in Iran, I've seen the people around me continuously become more genocidal and pro war. As a person who is not a big fan of the current regime and it's policies here in Iran, I've felt more and more crazy for my pro Palestinian or should I say pro humanity stance. I don't know if you see this or not, but I wanted to thank you for helping me stay sane in this current situation.
This is so interesting. I have been wondering a lot what it's like to be in Iran. I read somewhere that a lot of people there are pro-Israel and pro-West because they hate their government. I wonder if that's your perception also.

As a survivor of child abuse and supporter of Palestine i must whole heartly agree with Indie on the Family abuse comperance with the Situation of Palestinians. One of the reasons i've did my Part in fighting with genocidal Zionists and settlers online furiously . What else i can do to repent for the crimes of my granduncle who murdered in the east for Hitler . And survived. And was Not punished thx to the US .
And now my goverment arrests Jews again . And calls this fighting Antisemitism.
And i can be fined or arrested for this Post in Germany .
Where i was Born and live and was told and half assed Version of History .

As a palestinean i think a lot of us can connect to Indie's point that whenever we meet someone, those of us raised/born in diaspora have to say that we are from that country, like jordan, UAE, Kuwait, America, wherever it may be just because the reaction of the people is usually either confusion as they have never heard of palestine, fear of backlash/humiliation and debate, or just the response i got from many people: "oh you mean israel", it's just so frustrating and disheartening
I watched one of Nile's videos last week, and I thought how great it would be for Matt to have him on the podcast, and here he is!! Magic! 🪄😁

I am 2gen Iranian diaspora, I can attest to the brainworms that an alarming portion of the diaspora has, mainly consisting of Iran/west dichotomies that involve zero historical-social-political analysis, which makes them argue in favour of things that are at best useless or at worst damaging for Iranians (diaspora or not).
