Swaxes elemental attack works a bit differently that a clutch claw, you can hold on to the monster on certain attacks that you would normally fall off on.
Can i just say fuck this fight? In GU, Fatalis was powerful, but manageable and fun as a result. He could oneshot, but he always left good windows to counter him safely, especially after a powder-blast where his head hangs low for a solid 5 seconds. EACH. Fatalis is literally the last monster in the game. He should feel hard. And he does have a lot of windows, you probably just dont know how to punish them. 1- cone attack (pretty obvious, just attack the head) 2- the firebreath where he start from one side and sweep to the other (nice easy punish on the head) 3- 3x fire ball (you can hit the head between the attack or just focus the chest/leg 4- when he slam down (easy punish on the head) 5- you have binder, cannon, roaming ballista, dragonator. Use them and you'll get plenty of time to do some nice dmg And that's just a few of them. There's plenty of time to attack him, you just have to learn where you need to stand to not get hit and what move you can use to punish him. He punish sloppy gameplay but he's still pretty fair. The 1 thing I dont like is some of the hitbox. Sometime, they feel inconsistent (like that running animation).
But it is effective. You still have to learn Fatties move set so you don’t latch on at the wrong time. Once you learn his move set, no weapon really requires “skill”.
Charging axe clould be tricky sometimes. Having top gear rly helps. Doing less dmg dont heal you that much beside longer run make failure easier. Executing ZSD in right moment is much more important then it looks. If I record my runs I can make a few hours video "How to die using ZSD". You can be knock down even with rocketstade mantle. Landing after execution could be deadly too. Its like greatsword holding 1 key 3 times does not require skill but yeah require LOT of game knowledge and training. Aside of this clicking 2 buttons is exacly like clicking 2 buttons with almost every other weapon. There is LOT of fails and hard moments till you make it looks easy.
