Just purchased this watch and as a watch repairer can not get my head around the fact it’s running at -1 to plus 0!….. this with zero flair this is more accurate than my Breitling colt and Omega constellation and a few yr old Ball chronometer which all run ar +3 too plus 10.. with flares .. yes the bracelet could do with some refinement around the clasp but for this money it’s stunning ..
Great cinematography and pictures! I have a Mountain Glacier and I love the azure dial to bits, but this black one looks fantastic, sporty and versatile. I wonder how you got 48mm lug to lug? It's actually 46mm.
Your Video is very good! Some things I especially Like: Editing: B-Roll Closeups with nice thoughtful props. Structure: interesting & to the point. Sound: good levels.
Joe Green thank you 😊 after handling the watch I feel it is ok for the price🤷♂️ but if we do go by the price for the older versions..yes they are getting more expensive. But, I think it’s because they are adding more features 😊
Great video my friend!! You know what.... this doesn’t do anything for me. I think the 2006 Sarb017 green dial is something special . The black dial gives this range a too sporty look. That green dial/gilt applied markers are special and gives that traditional sports look. Little splash of red is nice on this though.
Hi 👋 It’s not a watch that I would buy right now but the mix cathedral hands / field explorer watch / dials combinations is one of the most desirable IMO in the Seiko collection. I advise a friend of mine to buy the old model 2 years ago ;)
Hi, I want to purchase this watch so I'am saving money to buy it. So please help me to decide by answering some of my doubts. 1. I'am new to Automitic watches (never used an Mechanical watch) so if i get this, it will be my first watch, so as an new comer is this watch worth purchase ? 2. I heard that Automatic watches needs regular servicing. So after how many years will i need to service this watch ? As i want a watch which will need very less servicing (atleast 10-15 years without having to open the case) ? 3. It might my first & last automatic watch atleast for a decade. So i wanted to confirm once if this going to be durable for a long time if i wear it for all types of occassions ? & If the price of the watch is worth it ? Thanks your reply will be very helpful for me. Lastly, all my life i have been wearing very Tough watches like G-Shocks (Solar),Timex & Casio Quartz watches with 10 years battery reserves, so for me i expect a watch which gives performance as those watches. THANK YOU
Hey 😊 1. Seiko is always a good first mechanical watch 2. Servicing really depends on case by case - as in i would service my watch if it’s not telling the time right or some function is not working. But, usually you might need to service every 5 years at least. The only watches I have that I know have not been serviced for a decade is a Rolex.. 3. This watch would be quite durable. But, in my opinion (and this is just my personal opinion) if you want something even more rough and tough…I would suggest looking at Seiko Divers (maybe the prospex line) At the end of the day automatic watches are an experience and something that should last you a long time. Time telling performance it will never match a Quartz watch like a g shock (even in terms of durability)..the longevity of a mechanical watch partly also depends on how you care for it. But, it will be a step in the right direction for you. Hope you find this helpful and good luck in the watch hunt😊
Excellent Vid, Apart from the hideous prospex logo , the unsigned crown and the lack of the word Alpinist mentioned anywhere on the watch head and the cheap and nasty leather strap on some models they are great value with exceptional build quality and specs .
Got the black one for myself yesterday. But I did notice a slight sideways movement on the compass crown... is that normal? Is it supposed to be a little loose like that?
I like all the dial colours but what pisses me off and many other potential buyers is the fact that only the black dial version has a bracelet' all dial colours should come with a bracelet or leather strap version...💪🤬

Really love this piece as it's so capable and could really be a one watch collection. Also this was actually a very solid review here. Well done.
Thank you 😊

THE MAD WATCH COLLECTOR yea, but I’m not the biggest fan of the 017 green 😅 but I get why almost everyone loves it

Sharon Joseph sideways movement as in? Is it moving without you turning the crown? That shouldn’t happen
Wind It On The Move No no. Just that when I rotate the crown, I can feel that the crown is a tad bit loose. Just the slightest.
Sharon Joseph yea it’s like that 😁

1959...wasn't it?
It's 46mm lug to lug
