Great to see you back. I have 150 miles on the Pulsar Trail and I would trust it for a 50 KM event, but still question this shoe for a 100 mile event. Still testing the Pulsar Trail Pro. Totally different beast.

I got the blue and greyish white version of this shoe and it looks fabulous. I can actually wear these shoes to go out with my family in contemporary style and look athletic at the same time. One of the main reasons why I like this shoe is because it looks like a contemporary running shoe, and not like a crazy and wild looking shoe. It's basically an all rounder shoe where you can take it anywhere you go, whether it be trail walking or just walking on pavement, it will do both comfortably and let you stand for many hours without making your feet tired. The only worry I have about this shoe is the durability of the undersole grip. I'm afraid they might wear out in a short time due to my excessive walking.

Narrow toe box is a no-go for me, otherwise pretty interesting shoe. And also really nice review!

I really dig the look of this shoe. Was pretty "meh" at first but it's growing on me. That being said, while I find this shoe interesting, especially after years of running the the Sense Ride line (almost perfect for me...) I have decided to branch out and try something different (and loving it so far!)... so I think I'll skip Salomon shoes in 2022. Kinda curious about your 2023 tease, but I have to say what I've seen of the changes brought to the Sense Ride line make me hesitant... We'll see I guess!

Great review, I'm looking forward to trying these out for an upcoming race next month. Never run in Salomon's so should be interesting!

Good review, one addition: wet grip is nothing special, even in dry and loose stuff it's so so because of the shorter lugs...under the right conditions nice shoe, I prefer the North Face Vectiv Infinite (comparable shoe I think) : better grip, better and more breathable upper, better heel lock...

Ordered this one, first Salomon for me, but it was way too narrow. First time I've experienced that. Hoka Wide's work for me, as do the inov8 trailfly ultra (but that one gave me hot spots on the top of the lacing/tongue). I've now just fallen down the minimalism and zero drop hole, and think I've found my new home with Altra and Vibram FiveFingers.

just got mine today, after i had to return the first pair. which was in my standard size EUR46 2/3, but only US size 11 1/2 (normally that's 12) - too short and narrow for me. so i got US 12, and that feels like a perfect fit so far. if anyone's used to EUR-sizing, i'd recommend sitcking to the US index.
gonna test it over the weekend, really looking forward to that. was running in sense ride 3 & 4 which were great allrounders, just not for the long days out there (and road sections).

Great stuff, how is the stability ? as a pronator, i need extra medial support, great review, thanks for all the content.

My experience is that this shoe is narrow in the mid foot. I`m a mild pronator and did not fit my foot at all. Toe box was ok but if you have a wide og medium wide mid foot you will have the same issue of no support in arch/mid foot. My food ended up bulging out of the upper over the medial side. My tip is try the new balance fresh foam more trail v2, love the shoe

Need to know: will the sense pro line ever return? I just order a pair of the pulsar trail pros and the toe box it too big. My narrow feet really enjoy the slim fit of the sense pro line.
