    Hi there. I'm a new subscriber. It's so refreshing to see someone my age talk about God and being a good wife and keeping my areas of the apartment clean. Also not neglected to forget to spend the first part of my day with God in the morning. I never learned from my stepmother how to cook or clean. Yes when I was a child we would have to clean our room, but later on I had to do laundry, but that's about it.

    What’s helped me: picking a room or task to focus on each day. Monday’s I focus on the kitchen because it’s neglected over the weekend, Tuesday is the bathroom , Wednesday the bedrooms, Thursday living room, Friday basement play area. I just do a general pick up of the other rooms each day of needed. I do laundry three days a week, trying to fold and put away each load after it’s finished. I have a laundry cart with 5 bags that helps me sort laundry.

      Yep. Daily maintenance (dishes, vacuum/sweep, tidy), weekly focus (Monday is x, Tuesdays is y, etc), monthly chores (more in-depth things, changing filters, etc), then sprinkle in things that get done quarterly, every 6 months, annually, as needed, etc. Made my own schedule years ago. As long as I stick to it, it works!

    I'm 33, married for 9 years, 3 kiddos and I've been a SAHM for the past 3 years. I'm still struggling to manage my household, but I felt blessed by this your video. You have a very soothing voice and calm demeanor, so i just wanted to say thank you and keep up the good work. I love getting advice from experienced Christian women❤ "God is our employer. " ... This is your job, just like any other, so do it well. This resonated with me so much. 🥰

    Husband is diabetic, 1 of my kids is gluten free, I’m low salt , 3 other kids no dietary requirements. Monthly meal planning has taken the overwhelm off of me for what I’m going to cook. I took like 3 hrs on one weekend to pick out our menus and the needed adjustment menus. But now, we have a plan. Totally worth it!

      I can definitely relate! What really makes it hard is when, over the years, things change and you have to adapt. Some changes are easier to deal with than others...

    Thank you so much for the home blessing quote! My mother had that on a plaque, but sadly it got broke after she passed away. I’m going to rewrite it and post it somewhere in my home!

    I can’t get enough of videos like these! I’m really crappy at home making lol I think my biggest tip and I’m saying this to myself as well bc I have 2 under 2 right now is waking up early. Setting an alarm and actually getting up and opening up my Bible and either journaling or just praying real quick. Then trying to have a glass of water b4 I have coffee bc I need that boost. Getting a few little things done before I wake my children up I have two big Alaskan malamute dogs and they’re young also so usually if I can making even just a few minutes to do some light training with them or give them attention makes a huuuugghe difference in their attitude towards the day and when the dogs are better well behaved I don’t feel like I have to struggle juggling with them and my children. And I know this doesn’t apply to most but it’s not easy adding pets into the mix. Lastly learning to hold my tongue when my husband and I are speaking bc I’m quick to anger and also just learning to be the first one to apologize sometimes and makeup with him. We could definitely have a BETTER relationship and I could definitely do better around the house and work on a routine etc. but my biggest daily accomplishment at this season in my life is just trying to keep it all together and not consciously “tear down ,” my house. I was raised around a bunch of feminist ideals and really can’t cook and didn’t have the best example of house keeping etc. as my mom always worked outside the home and my dad did too so my home growing up was constantly filled with arguing about divvying up responsibilities. I’m praying for patience and wisdom each day as I go bc I long to be a woman who can efficiently keep her home in order. I loose my way very easily if I don’t stay “plugged in,” so to speak with reading my Bible and listening to wise woman like u keeping me grounded. It’s really hard but it’s POSSIBLE and that’s my advice to others watching who are in my shoes and are starting their homemaking journey from scratch or backwards rather.

    i’m a new mamma and homemaker and i’m so thankful for the encouragement i have found online for it barely exist in or around my church. But I do need to say because I feel like I can here, that’s ironically the beauty of online communication. I was not around during the time era of this crunchy silky nonsense that has clearly invaded the church, I likely wasn’t saved yet and didn’t know any mammas or ones that were taking it that seriously at least. However since becoming a mom I keep coming across other moms in the church who where using this word “crunchy” kind of in an offensive way, the first time I heard it i thought the girl meant cringy and maybe it was just because she was slightly older than me, but then another mom said it a different time in this new church group in the same sort of offensive manner yet she was using it to describe church people that offended her previously. So I looked it up and saw what it meant and quite frankly it’s really rude, how would you like to be called “crunchy”. Paul states in first corinthians that we shouldn’t cause offense to anyone. (obviously in some cases like Jesus with the pharisees it’s good to cause offense) But “crunchy” might as well say ew cringy moms and roll your eyes aren’t necessarily bad a lot of why most of them are the way they are is because of the deep love they have for their family, their children and their husbands in their bodies and they might not have the faith that these silky moms do to be able to use and consume all the things people of the world use, however, you don’t need to offend them or criticize them or look down on them because they have less faith than you just like the people in first Corinthians who couldn’t eat the meat that was sacrifice to idols. Paul could eat it, but he said he would never eat meat again to offend or hurt the faith and conscious of another believer. Truly, this has hurt my faith why are women so mean and hateful? Why are they offended and jealous when other women desire to do things differently than them? I guess if I breast-feed, I’m crunchy to half of the women in the church, that just doesn’t feel right and I don’t think that is right. I mean, how far does it go different things that trigger them into rolling their eyes at another woman and calling them crunchy. by the way, I love swifter sweepers and I use Clorox bleach.

    I’m a new wife and find it difficult to adapt to this new way of life, there’s a feeling that if I don’t succeed I am failing my husband recently the more mistakes I make the less Grace I have on myself I’m praying that God helps me and encourages me, sometimes I’m so filled with the guilt of not completed simple tasks and meeting my husbands needs it makes me feel very depressed, I don’t know how to break this shameful feeling.

    Foodplannerapp is a brilliant tool. You collect recipes through a URL. When you use them in a meal plan it automatically generates a shopping list and adjusts your inventory. It notifies you when you are down to the last of an item. You always know what's in the back of the freezer. There are probably other apps that do this by now but this one is my favourite.

    to give another example for context purposes, another reason why I might be called a crunchy mom is because I was so terrified of being paralyzed from an epidural and didn’t have enough faith to believe that God wouldn’t allow me to be paralyzed for some purpose that I desperately tried to avoid getting an epidural and it ended up getting it due to the pain from Pitocin and breaking my water and all these things that I truly didn’t want done because I believed it needed to be done naturally and then after epidural my babies blood pressure dropped so low I had to go for an emergency C-section but if I end up blessed with another baby, I will still try to have v-bac As I still feel guilty for when I got the epidural before, sometimes I truly believe that the reason why I had to have the emergency C-section was because I got the epidural because it wasn’t until I got the epidural which I did not have the faith to get but did it under pressure (similar to a child being peer pressured into doing something that is wrong) after I got the epidural, the blood pressure dropped and I had togo in for C-section. it does kind of feel like it was discipline. So for those that have the faith to do those things they won’t be disciplined, but to the ones that weren’t given the faith to do certain things they shouldn’t do them because anything that is not done from faith is sin and the people of God, true children of God will be disciplined.

    • @kaylashryock2743
      @kaylashryock2743 4 місяці тому

      so don’t pressure other children of God or shame them into thinking that they need to get over it and just eat the meat that might be sacrificed to idols
