Some observations. In the tv series, TB1 rotated 90 degrees while going from the top of the incline to the bottom. I assume that was to always have “Thunderbird” face the camera. You never saw her rotate though. In this clip, she doesn’t rotate. Another thing is the angle of the chute that Virgil uses. When you see him in the chute, the angle is about 15 to 20 degrees from horizontal. When you see the chute go into the top of TB2, the chute is about 60 degrees. That aside, the quality of these shots still stand the test of time. Great colour, great detail.
I wonder if they scored it to the original launches before the new sequences were assembled. I think it kinda works for both really but better here. Although I really loathe the Countdown.

i disagree i think that the new tracks fit well and have the right to be called a peice of tb i really love the new one and i have been raised on 60's tb all through my life...tho i never enjoyed it so much till the new one i still like them both
I personally think thunderbird 2 look so shitty in the movie (2004) and I am not the biggest fan of the 2015 redesign either I really only like the tb2 design in the original series. Although my FAVORITE design out of all vehicles in all 3 media sources of thunderbirds is tb1, tb3 or fab 1,in the 2004 movie
cutting straight to all 3 taking off after the countdown would've elevated the edit so much.

It's funny how the new theme goes with the old show, but the old theme doesn't go with the new one.
The new theme is appalling in any circumstances. It never gets beyond the first four bars of the tune. It's so frustrating.

I honestly prefer the 2004 love action movie designs. Yes shout at me all you want. But the movie designs are pretty sleek.
