  • This video is about the 3 reasons Tyreke Evans was BANNED from the #nba. On May 17, 2019, Tyreke Evans was banned from the NBA for violating the terms of its Anti-Drug Program that prohibits drug abuse. He is eligible to apply for reinstatement in 2021. It’s 2022 now and my instagram feeds are filled with Tyreke Evans workout clips that have people excited that maybe this means the 32 year old, drafted before 2 time MVP Steph Curry is attempting an NBA comeback. If you’ve been watching basketball at least since 2009 you understand how shocking that news is to hear of the former 4th overall pick that came in and saw instant success as a rookie, doing something only Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James had up to that point. 20 year old Tyreke Evans was poised to become at least a star in the NBA and prove many right that believed in his potential since he was a star high school basketball player, ranked top 5 in his class averaging 32 points 9 rebounds 6 assist and 4 steals. He was a star. And then things went downhill and surprising. That in 10 years he’d be banned from the NBA. What Happened?

They need to let Reke get back to Reking Havoc lol. I swear since day 1.. this brother reminded me so much of The Black Widow. Bka, Tyron "Alimoe" Evans. Reke's handles, dexterity, and ability to finish below the rim, was so unique and fun to watch. Reke can get you 30, all off dribble drives, hesitations, euro steps, and crazy off the glass reverse english layups. As Nate Robinson once said.. "Tyreke Evans is the 'layup King' I swear.". This brother made layups look so sweet. He had every layup known to man, in his bag, Along with all the crossovers, hesitations, and euros, to get to the basket at will. Though Reke was limited in other areas of his game.. his length, wiry strength, and sick dribble drive game.. he would've been a main stay in the league.

@@wc6081 yeah gang. Literally, the first ever "Ballislife" reel I seen of this brother giving buckets to the Mean Streets Express AAU team featuring the great Derrick Rose, and Eric Gordon. I was like.. "Yo who is this Alimoe looking kid giving D.Rose and Eric Gordon crazy buckets???". Lol. It literally felt like I was watching Alimoe reincarnated (although he still was alive at the time circa 2007). The long arms, darksin thin tall frame, super low dribbles with the unorthodox looking jumper. I mean, it like literally seeing Alimoe, all over again. Reke gave us a glimpse, of what Alimoe could've been, if he stayed out the streets, and went to Fresno State like he was supposed to. But RIP to the god Tyron "Black Widow/Alimoe" Evan's. And free Reke.

After Tyreke's rookie season I thought he'd take off average like 25+ppg, 7+ apg, maybe 5 to 7 rpg but like you said, Sacramento took the ball out of his hands. I thought he'd be named to at least a few all star teams but that never happened.
I remember the rookie sophomore game from Tyreke's rookie year. He won the MVP of that game but thought DeJuan Blair should've won it ( I believe he had 23 points and 22 rebounds). With that said, you should do a stunted growth video on DeJuan Blair. He was drafted later than expected (2nd round) but thought he'd have a solid career and would be a solid rebounder even though undersized.

Tyreke Evans is from my hometown of Chester, Pa. His name definitely rings bells in my city when it comes to basketball. Chester has had a few players in the NBA, including Jameer Nelson, Derrick Jones Jr, Rondae Hollis Jefferson, & Horace Walker. As well as John Linehan who went to Providence U, who was the all time steals leader when he left college. Chester has produced many professional athletes in football also.

@@millz3679 Boy, oh boy! I remember Jeff George. I remember people saying he had the strongest most accurate arm ever! Better than Elway, Moon and Marino. But he was a huge a-hole.

Bring him to the lake show. We will definitely take him. He would probably take a league minimum contract and get paid after this season

Mane tyreke my dawg…fave pg before Russ, big dominant combo guard that could do anything…injuries and him getting kicked out the league as well as playing him out of position hurt him for sure…I loved his game he has top 5 handles I’ve ever seen plus same level of finishing as kyrie

Yoooo, uhhhhh. You might wanna change the picture the video shows. I can't imagine I'm the only one that watched this video thinking "oh sht is Tyreke into some messed up stuff?"(Chester usually doesn't refer to a town, when used to describe someone)

  • @toteknowledge

Might I add.... the most underrated handles ever too. His fucking ball control was so smooth, idk how he ALWAYS looked under control; cool, calm, collective (maybe the weed ha)- very similar to Derrick Rose, you rarely see any emotion positive or negative from him.
He was destined for hall of fame success after that incredible rookie year, couldnt tell me otherwise. He also had a very good jumpshot from almost anywhere and he was bigger than opposing guards. They played him at the 3 cause he was built like a NFL TE, but it was ineffective for him as an individual...he needs the ball in his hands.
