So, I know that the salt mine seemed a bit boring, but the idea of it is to relax and inhale the salty air that is very healthy for your lungs. Before this fun park was created a few years ago, people used to go in the mine for lung treatments. I hope that you still had fun.
Imagine how boring was in the past sitting there with no entertainment, no smart phones either...
@@Infin1ty2403 I haven't visited it yet, sadly I live abroad now. But in like 1997 or so, I went with our extended family in Sovata, to the Praid salt mine. I was like 7 or 8 at that time and all I can remember was a huge religious chapel and some photos on the walls. Aaa and I licked the walls. 🤣🤣 And I remember the amazing huge fresh fish that I had in there. Just for a few relaxing hours while you have other plans during the day, I think it wasn't that bad
@@alexia2189 The moment you said "aaa", m-am convins ca esti din Romania 😂😂
Thanks for the video. Romania is a place we want to visit and even more now! BEAUTIFUL
I'm from Romania, I've visited a lot of places in my country, I could give you some ideas, what you could visit...😁😁
@@elisa.134 That is so kind. My wife and I have a friend that is also from Romania that we plan to visit who is going to help us with that task, but thank you so much.
You are more than welcome here, in Romania! :)
I'm from Romania myself and never visited Cheile Turzii, but I will do so in the future! Glad you guys enjoy Romania and hope you continue to have a lovely stay. Btw: I love your filming style! Cheers from the UK!
Andrew Tate.😂
I’m also Romanian...locuiesc in Torquay Devon uk 🇬🇧. Nici eu nu am vizitat Turda si salina. Poate intr-o zi...who knows? Cu drag Mena 🌹💁♀️👍
Cheile Turzi literally means, "The Keys of Turda" in Romanian. In Romanian a pass or gorge through the mountains is called "keys" because they provide the keys to going through the mountain range.
@@mariaelenafoote4819 Translation of Maria Elena's post: I live in Torquay Devon in the UK. Neither have I visited Turda and Salina. Maybe one day... With love, Mena.
Just found your videos on 22 June 2023. Your quality of video commentary are wonderful. I was just in Romania last December 2022 for two special events with new friends. I walked Cluj a bit. But lacked more time because my key destination cities were Oradea to the north and Targu Mures to the south. Actually, I recognized the Cluj-Napoca churches and some of the streets. I want to return soon to see more in better weather outside winter. Your video and suggestions are spot on to make the most of my next trip trip. THANKS. Oh, you are correct about the amazing local food in ALL the cities. The hospitality and friendliness of the people are top notch.
YAY 🎉 YOU GUYS WENT TO CLuj!! I love How you guys are exploring and loving Romania so much , Makes me so proud and grateful ❤ I always promote my country here in America too
We loved it so much we had to come back! You should be proud. Thanks for the awesome comments 🫶🏼
Breathing the air from a salt mine is very healthy for the lungs. That's why there are different things to do down there, just for not getting bored while you are there. Coming every day for about 30 min it's pure health.
OMG you guys are the greatest. I have been watching a bunch of couples visiting Romania and enjoying the natural beauty so I can honestly say that you two are the best at what you are doing, keep up the great work. "TUBORG and Mici best combination"
Blessings.
The funniest moment was when Sammy shouted 'mici and beer"! 😂😂😂
If you ever return to Romania, you need to visit Maramures and Bucovina. Sorry, let me rephrase that. You don’t need to, you MUST!!!!
The old painted monasteries
maramures is such an overrated pos of an area, i agree with bucovina, even in mountain area in timis and caras severin are more worth going than maramures
@@veneps what’s your argument? I would have said Cluj is an overrated place to visit, if anything.
@@andreeamariaprelipcean9990 cluj is underrated, beautiful architecture, clean, you also have the mountains at a short distance from the city

Thks you because you promovering Romania! I invited you guy's to visiting Bucovina! You never regretted!!
Lo estáis haciendo muy profesionalmente....
Me encanta.
Cuidaros mucho y a disfrutarlo a tope 😉

Cluj is great❤ and so is Oradea, just in case you want to discover more beauty of Romania🤗

There's not a war champ here ... come on, take a deep breath !
Love the spirit of carefree adventuring! Hitching and epic food in one post; hard to beat.
So cool I agree with you!!
Im from turda i been to cluj and i been to the salt mine and cheile turzii
hello friends greetings from new york i liked the unpredictable view from the heights of the mountain and psrte i think they did it with a drone the views look magnificent and a tremendous walk
Hey guys! If I knew that your coming to my city, I would have taken you to Turda by car! So sorry for the camera incident !
If you are coming back, some day, I recommmend you to check the domestic flights, they are quite affordable. Unfortunatelly trains are very-very slow in Romania. Hugs for you!
I really appreciate this vlog , the Cheile-Turzii Gorge and Salina Turda are so wonderful places ... but, trust me, I'm native from Cluj-Napoca, this city deserve to be discovered more, there are so many tourist attractions inside/outside the town, I was a little bit disappointed, you showed Cetatuia and Varzarie, that's means 10% from the city, being generous ... maybe some other time you will come back to see the rest ! Thank you for promoting the lovely but underrated Romania ! 😍🥰
Saline therapy is very good for the skin, sinuses and lungs! A lot of people come just for the fact of inhaling the salty air, plus have a little staff to pass the time while will terapy done :) Have fun!
You guys are the cutest couple ever just so adorable and love your filming style too!!
Thanks so much!! You’re too sweet 🤗
Thank you for visiting my city! I hope you guys liked Cluj, I'm glad you got to visit Salina Turda too. That's one of my favorite places to go and breathe the clean, salty air there since it helps with my health issues. Looking forward to more videos from your trip to Romania!
It was our pleasure! We really enjoyed our time there 😍 thanks for watching 🤗
@@SammyandTommy I don't like Cluj... very boring City in Romania
I don't like Cluj... very boring people in City Cluj...
Yes, so boring! They only have Transylvania International Film Festival, Jazz In the Park Festival, International Electric Castle Festival, Untold Festival, Tango Cazino Festival, Parks, Lakes, Mountain resorts nearby, Salina etc… So boring…
I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!MANY THANKS FROM LONDON!!!
just met a romanian friend that start playing with him Fifa , and now i'm excited to visit this country and especially in ClujNapoca
Glorious and great view going up
Thank you for promoting our city.
Cluj ❤ is for me the most amazing city in Romania and in Europe too, after living in Switzerland and abroad since 12 years now. Especially the food is one of the best. We have in cluj one of the best gastronomic centers in the country.
I feel like you didn’t get the best recommendations for restaurants and for public transportation in this area. Cluj surroundings are also nice but the city itself have so much to offer!
Wat? Cluj most boring City,, very boring people... not interesting of Cluj... Timisoara number one City in Romania
@@aurel4500 You
You're a very friendly guy, and your opinion is so appreciated ! Keep 'running ! 🙂
Are you on drugs? Cluj is not even the best city in Romania, let alone Europe.
Cluj is average at best.
@@aurel4500
Ooooo nice .I am glad for yours traveling
Thanks for the video

Beautifull country, coming there soon 🤞
It really is! Have fun!
Hey Guys, thanks for another excellent video!
SUPER!!!!
Sammy cannot be hangry! Impossible! You are both happy. And I am too, watching you.😍
Also visit Iasi. It is a very beautiful city.
I cannot believe it: you agree with me: obor market has the best mici! That was my experience 50 years ago. Glad to hear they are are still!
I live in cluj, its geniunely amazing to live here
And stressing. Alba Iulia is the best. Cluj is overrated
"amazing'? lol. Bucuresti, Timisoara, Oradea, Sibiu are better
You are lovely 😊❤ I really enjoy your travel vlogs. You make me want to visit all those places. Take care. 😊
So awesome to hear! Thanks for watching :)
hello from Turda 🤩
beautiful scenery, beautiful couple, and very good cinematography. It's very healthy to breath the air in a salt mine, why not get a massage; you need to spend a lot of time down there anyway.
You are awsome, and the most i like when you are honest about things ;) keep doing it :D
You’re awesome too! Thanks for the great comment 💜
48 hour Romania just like stay safe travel beautiful best you guys Country main land wide - Happy Father's Day 2023
Funny enough, I was born in Turda and have been living abroad for the last 17 years. Whenever I get a bit nostalgic I like watching visitors like you enjoying my home. Thank you for the video.
But I have to say, you managed to visit my favourite and least favourite places in this video. Cheile Turzii are my favourite easy hiking trail whenever I visit and want to clear my head (i love climbing on top of one of those boulders in the river and meditating or just relaxing on the soft moss for a bit). On the other hand, sadly, Salina Turda has become a tourist trap in recent years and it's a real shame...sorry you experienced it in this state. It used to be much nicer.
P.S.the only other cool thing you could have done is take the zipline down from the hill towards the gorge and it drops you off next to the mici place...that one is fun
From cluj you can take the Mocănița train to Maramures, there are tens of awesome traditional villages with many wooden churches which are unesco sites( Rogoz, Budești, Breb, Desești, Bârsana with the Monastery, Ieud and Poienile Izei ),there is also Ronda national park and Maramures mountains national park perfect for hiking.
Or from cluj you can go south to Rimetea ( it’s not far from Turda ), Alba Julia, Rosia Montana and Apuseni National Park.
Maramures is Beautiful! Bârsana Monastery is superb! The whole region is stunning! Love it in May or September-October…
People go to the salt mines for various treatments. U need to stay inside at least a few hours.
Ok great tip! Thanks for watching!
Great video again, glad you enjoyed my city and its surroundings. ✌️
The best salt mine from my experience was Praid Salina, you have a lot of hiking ground around too,and inside the mine you can play a lot of games, ping pong, badminton, etc and also,it has more rooms, and far more interesting🙌
Did you see Slanic? That one is my favorite
Thanks for the video! I visited Cluj back in 2016 and had the time of my life! Hopefully will be returning soon.
Love you guys. More videos please. Another trip through Italy would be fabulous.
More to come :)
Yo guys , welcome to my country , thank you for the view 😅😅 she is 🔥👀
guys you absolutely must go to the statue of Decebal 😍😍😍

Love your film, and the editing and content & music is great too.
As I was born in Cluj-Napoca...you brought back so many memories!
...and MICI AND BEER...MY GOD!
And VARZARIA si PASTAIOASE...places where I was eating at least twice every week when in high school and college...!!!

My city ❤️❤️❤️
The uncut scene was pretty nice. Love seeing the “non professional” parts too!
I stuck around waiting for the bloopers and extra b-roll 😢. Lol great video!
Awesome !
Same good vibe as one year ago! 🙂
You should visit the Moldovean (North-East) region of the country too.
Yes! The Northern Moldova Monasteries and that entire region of Bucovina are stunning! Peaceful and beautiful!
you guys are the best!!
Keep it up brothers ! 😊 beautiful Cluj and beautiful Romania!
Any salt mine in România has an important rolle. The air is sooo pure and it' s very good for your health , your lungs will say :" thank you" . We go with our kids in salt mines to help them improve they re imunitty and to clear the lungs ❤it' s like a cure with pure / fresh air ❤. And you have activities just to stay long for your health, the more you stay the more you have that cure with PURE AIR❤❤❤❤
I miss Cluj so much :'( I lived there 6 years
Guys come to plaiesti, this is a little village where i live. If you want we can meet here.
Anyway thanks for coming here to romania. C:
Super fain! Felicitări! 👍🇷🇴 Mergeți și în Anina cu trenul Anina - Oravița supranumit și Semmeringul bănățean. 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃
Other great hikes on biggest mountains in Romania , Moldoveanu peak( highest peak in Romania) Omu Peak, Piatra Craiului, Retezat Mountains, Rodnei with Pietrosul Peak and much more! Check a village called Inelet, you only can get there through some stairs on rocks!
Tommy, the salt mine: thanks for sharing!
You guys rock.
That song (I feel alive) in the beginning is AWESOME!
So glad you enjoyed it! Music selection takes up the most time in editing so appreciate the compliment :)
@SammyandTommy It shows that you spend a lot of time on music selection. It's almost always spectacular. I say almost because the music in the salt mine was disconcerting, but I'm sure it was meant to be.
The salt mine in Poland pretty much rocks everything else. It's a UNESCO site, so it's not so kithcy. No table tennis as I currently understand it.
Lots of places created by people who lived down there for centuries, including statuary and cathedrals.
Very nice your trips 😊
I really enjoy watching. Great video!
Nice video, congrats ! The purpose of the activities in the salt mine (golf, ping-pong, bowling) is to spend active time in a space full of salty aerosols. The visit has a therapeutical role.
Best regards from Cluj ;)
Hi guys, if you visit Maramureş reach out if you need a local guide
You should definitely visit oradea too! I hope you had a lot of fun!
wellcome back :D!!
Great video 👏👏👏
Hehehe, that is us, in the beginning of the video, with the cutest baby ❤❤
Another great hike is Tarnita Lake at Piatra lui Lucaci,
I lived my first 29 years in Cluj Napoca, now I'm in LA. You guys should visit Sovata, Tusnad, they are great places to visit. Mostly Hungarian.

I've been following you since you were last in Romania in 2021. You can activate Romanian subtitles on UA-cam. The first video of this year when you visited Bucharest has subtitles in Romanian. The second one and today's one from Romania do not benefit from Romanian subtitles.
Didn’t even realize we forgot to turn them on! Thanks for the heads up 😁
I saw my ex motocycle at 1:30
Thank you for visiting Romania hope you enjoy our country !
You should stay at least one month in Cluj to taste it. It's a hidden gem. Cluj has a discreet vibe and a class nowhere else to be found. I live now in Mount Athos and I've met a monk who studied philosophy in Cluj when he was young. He still speaks romanian quite well. We both agreed that is no other place in the world like Cluj.
I’m from cluj but a few days in enough for a tourist, it’s more a city to live in rather than visit in my opinion.
There's no other place like mount Athos 🙏
Super video ! But be carefull where you step, there are a lot of vipers on the rocky parts of the trails.
Thank you again for your visit & videos from my country❤❤. You are fun/ amazing/ etc❤❤❤. In Cluj is a big festival Untold ( ppl from all over the world come to take part on that festival ,is a 4 day festival with music, fun etc❤. See some videos when you have time about Untold❤. But Cluj is beautiful anyway and the food amazing ,yes some " varză a la Cluj❤ " ❤
You sure love mici, y just have some on today menu!
Good one. Hangry :)
Damn you see more places in my country than I've ever seen. At least thanks for showing them! :)

Erdély (Tarnsylvania) is a very beautiful place
Beautiful my Cluj ❤🎉
Foarte frumos
Hi, Cluj is not the Romania's second largest city, that one is called Iași (eeashee). This was the first capital of Romania before they decided to change it to Bucharest, which was more in the middle of the country and was also the capital during the war. Cluj is not too far away as large city, it is a very beautiful and interesting city, I love Cluj. I enjoyed very much my visit to the salt mine in Turda - it's all about everybody's taste and momentum.
