    I am a Freemason and the best advise I can suggest about this subject is to read the book “Born in Blood” which is devoted to this connection. There are numerous online groups of self appointed Templars , some even claiming to be direct descendants of the Knights Templar themselves BUT……such a claim as this is laughable once you remember that all Templars swore an oath of Chastity and, this simple inconvenient fact is enough to dispel any claim of Templar ancestry.

    ✨🌹✨ Although I was called to Royal Arch, I have never ever in truth ever attended a meeting, because I was called away to War just after the arrival of my summons to the Lodge, and I had to pack my kit bag and go. I had not even time to respond to the summons. Tis a sadness in my own personal life of course, but duty to country must come first . Tis a sadness of course. Tis indeed a hearts sadness✨🌹✨💖✨❤️

    Hi
    I was initiated in the Royal Arch in my country (Brazil) and there we have the Past Master degree. Currently I am a member in a chapter in Canada, and here we don’t have. As I was recently initiated here, I still don’t understand this difference.

      hello I'm a Canadian brother. well I dont have any experience in the York rite I can tell you that most of Canada uses the Scottish rite version of the 3 craft degrees.
      Also a friend of mine has told me that if you join york rite after being a master of a lodge you may skip the 1st 2 degrees of the York rite.
      I have no idea if this helps you or not in understanding anything.

    1:50 physically? as in literally? to rebuild THE temple?

    • @michiganmasonicmuseumandli7153
      @michiganmasonicmuseumandli7153  6 років тому +1

      The physical aspect is referring to the candidate "physically" participating in the ceremony. The building of the Temple is purely symbolic.

    • @EM-ez1td
      @EM-ez1td 6 років тому +3

      Collin Swayze yes as in LITERALLY. The Israeli government have, for years now, admitted the presence of ongoing operations to rebuild it very soon

      @EM-ez1td 6 років тому +1

      Collin Swayze but yes what he’s talking about about is the physical aspects of the temple. But they will literally rebuilt it

      @Will Derby Freemasonry did not start in England in 1717. There were lodges long before the formation of any Grand Lodge and many Scottish lodges were admitting speculate members in the first half of the 17th century. It's commonly accepted that Lodge of Edinburgh (Mary's Chapel) No.1 is the oldest lodge in the world with provable minutes (going back to 1599). Some other Scottish lodges claim an even earlier beginning such as Mother Kilwinning No. 0. I agree with you though that Moorish origins are rather unlikely.

    • @socialistranger
      @socialistranger 4 роки тому

      @Will Derby Okay, your grammar made it unclear as it seemed to imply that you were saying that Freemasonry began upon the formation of the Grand Lodge in 1717. In any case, you are still incorrect to say that Freemasonry began in England. The strongest evidence points to it beginning in Scotland, for the reasons I've already explained. There are no English lodges with minutes going as far back as Mary's Chapel No. 1

    • @socialistranger
      @socialistranger 4 роки тому

      @Will Derby I'm sorry to hear about your stroke.
      Your history is still completely wrong though and I'm surprised somebody who claims such high rank would get it so wrong.
      You have not addressed my point that Mary's Chapel No.1 has minutes going back to 1599 - something which no English lodge can claim.
      Also, Elias Ashmole was not the first speculative man to be made a Mason. That was in 1646, as per his own diary entries. There are records that Sir Robert Moray - a Scottish soldier and statesman - was initiated into Freemasonry by Mary's Chapel in 1641, five years earlier than Ashmole.

    • @socialistranger
      @socialistranger 4 роки тому

      @Will Derby Why are you asking? I have no idea whether you're a Freemason or not. I'll simply let you know that my Mother Lodge is in Scotland and I am currently affiliated with a lodge down in England.
      None of this bears any relation on the debate at hand. Why ask me when I was in the NE? It bears no relation on the fact that Sir Robert Moray was initiated into Freemasonry before Elias Ashmole or that a lodge in Scotland has the oldest record of minutes in the world.
