Thank you so much. Nickels are my favorite coins. You give the most valuable coin information on UA-cam. Your knowledge is priceless, thank you for sharing it
Lol. So you see someone with a swastika* (you spelt it wrong) and you immediately assume they support Hitler and the genocide of 6000000 European Jews in the 1940s. Change your views, It's a Buddhist symbol of peace :D
Bro it was just a prank. Sorry for the offense. IIt was just a joke sometimes I dont think twice with adhd. I know, Hitler gave the swastika a bad aroma even though it is actually a symbol of peace to native americans and buddhists. Congrats on the nickel btw;)
There are 2 FS 1968-d nickels in the pcgs pop report, a 64fs and a 65fs. Although like any rare date one can debate whether the 5 steps are really "all there". The first one to be graded was the 64fs around 2006 or so by a guy who claims to have searched over 10,000 mint sets (I know firsthand it was at least 2500 mint sets that he had). The second was graded first as a 64fs and sold in 2016 on GC for less than $3k. Holy cow what a deal. A well known modern coin dealer helped the buyer get it upgraded to 65fs and got pcgs to establish that $20k price in their guide. I'm not sure what they actually got for it. 1960-d, 1967, and 1969-s are the only 3 dates for which pcgs has never graded an fs coin. (Edit: Actually there was a 60-d graded FS by pcgs but pcgs had to buy it back and remove the FS designation. I think that same modern coin dealer now owns it).
BlueRidge, I love collecting Jefferson Nickles, and I know there is old school collectors out there that have a couple of these high graded examples just sitting in their collection, ungraded!!! My Uncle Bob for example, who claims to have more early Jefferson's, than anyone in the County!! I have to check out his collection, cause he, and his father. have been collecting these since the 40's & 50's!!
I have a 1964nickle D Jefferson with errors how much you price that I see UA-cam 35000 in auctions. And 2 1967 quarters with error 1969. And dime. 1980p 1965 and 1960or64 I really can't see the last number France federation
Excellent narration and informational content, as well as motivational aspects. Where would we be without you silverhound, I'd hate to think. Thanks again partner!
Love the videos. No hip hop soundtrack. No flashy graphics. Just great info, images and more in a conversational style. Keep the videos coming. Have a question about the 1995 nickel. I believe I found an error on the obverse. It took several examinations of this coin to find it, because at first glance it looks like a nick or scratches. Pretty sure it's a second set of initials just above Jefferson's wig. Normally the initials are near the bottom rim. If you have any info on this error please share. Don't know if this a common error or not. Thanks.
I have a 1968 S Proof/Cameo PR-64, beautiful, 6 full steps, does say fingerprint, I can't see it, anyway is it worth anything? I also have 2 1971 proof, full steps, 1947, looks like missing clad, does also have full steps. Are any of these worth getting looked at, could you give me a ballpark price? Thank you! Great video!
B.R.S. I'M GROWING TO LIKE YOUR CHANNEL. MANY OF THE COIN COLLECTOR CHANNS I'VE WATCHED,ARE BORDERLINE SICKENING. WILL TUNE IN TO GET SOME INFO,WHATEVER. AND THESE PEOPLE ARE NEARLY ORGASMIC UNWRAPPING CIRCULATED COIN ROLLS. S.M.H! I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR APPROACH AND EFFORTS! KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK!
I’m not really a big coin guy but I picked up today a 1946 nickel. I noticed it’s coloration was different. Then I read about the 1946 transitional nickel. Where would I go/ how would I determine if it’s composition had the higher % silver?
Thanks for your content have always been casual about checking change namely for silver or something that is obvious not any longer. Started roll hunting off and on mostly halves or quarters. Will be digging through container of nickels and dimes!
I have a 1955 nickel in pristine, glowing frost condition with doubling all over the Monticello building. Clear steps on all 3 sides, I can't believe the proof set this nickel is in. The penny in the same proof set has doubling on one of the fives on the 1955 date!
I work retail and we get full rolls of coins from the bank ...let’s just say I love it because I do get some good coins ....got a few Jefferson nickels with full steps
I have all these coins thay are very very clean just dont have full steps but really you dont need full steps. Just so lont as they have the beauty that coins you have shared with us and mine have that
I have a 1968 D Nickle and it is a really nice looking coin. I will check the steps and get back to you. I found it but, it is a 1968 S and looks to have 5 full steps to me, really nice shape though. 66,67,68 I'd say.
Thank you for sharing this information with us. Would it be possible for me to send you a couple of pictures of some really old coins I have and would like an honest evaluation of them . Thank you again for your channel
Totally have a 54 s . It’s banged up a bit but it’s like dyed reddish/brown. Could be ware . Not sure. Definitely unique looking and the S is clear as day. But no stairs 😖
I have held onto a 1943P Jefferson Nickel that I found 50 years ago that I’ve kept safe and it’s in very good condition . It was the coin that got me interested in coin collecting because it is obviously nearly all Copper not Silver as the war nickels were supposed to be. You didn’t mention it on your show or anything about that error coin. I did see another talk on Jefferson Nickel errors a year or so ago that Did say there was a know error of the 1943P that was due to one being found or known of that was nearly 100% Copper but it is apparently very rare. I’m trying to sell it and as much of my collection to pay off some unexpected things so any advice or help with finding what I should do or who to contact would be greatly and monetarily appreciated when I get it sold as I’m hoping it will bring enough to cover the current needs and may be able to not sell the rest of my 50 years of collections. It’s the most unusual coin I have. Except I did get a 2000 Standing liberty in a roll new that is Gold on one side and Silver on the other with the standing liberties on both sides it is something to see I haven’t seen or heard anything about it either but I will likely need to sell it also. Thank you.
Found a 1971 Jefferson nickel in father in laws belongings. It does not have FS under shoulder area as i've seen on other nickels he had. Not bright or shiny. Can you give me any info on it? Thanks MaryAnn
I have a 1961 no mint mark nickel with 5 steps above montecello in very good condition I'm not sure what to do with it if I should have it graded by PCGS or where to go to sell for most value
Hi I’m from London England and I’ve got 7 nickels dating from 1964 - 1997 So I got 1964, 1981, 1985 x2, 1990, 1996, 1997. I was wondering if you could give me a rough idea if any of these are valuable or could be in the near future... thank you vick
Hey so I've been collecting coins for just a little while now. But I watched your video and I have a 68 D and you can see 2 of the steps and one part of the steps you can see 3.
I see you get a lot of these questions so you don't have to answer mine I should of thought before asking I'm sorry I trust your opinions on coins more than the others out there I say that with lots of respect sir so you have a great day and happy Thanksgiving
I have a question about the 1964.. it’s definitely a full step mint state, but is there supposed to be a “fs” designation on the coin itself? I can’t find it.
So I have a 1955-d uncirculated nickel according to the Littleton coin co. It's still in the same package it came in many years ago. How would I find out the grading of it or any further info on it?
Love your videos. Thanks for taking the time to break off some knowledge. I’m brand new to coin collecting/hunting so thank you. Tons of help. I have a Quick question for you if I may be so bold. I have a 2006 D Jefferson Nickel that appears to be full stairs. I’m counting 3-5 stairs on the left set, maybe 3-6 stairs on the main set and then maybe all the stairs on the column to the right. Could this be valuable?
I need help I live in Raleigh NC I would like some information about who I can contact about the coins my grandfather left me I have foreign currency as well....
