Pride make us become artificial and hypocritical. When we become complete truly humble, we will become God realized. God hates one thing, that is ego, pride. God loves humbleness. All fight is because of pride. We are tiny little parts of God. We are servant of God. That is the self esteem of Hanuman. I am proud to be the servant of supreme Lord. That is the self esteem we need to develop. Inferiority complex comes because of our wish to become superior. If we destroy pride, all the inferiority complex will also finish. The more humble we become, everything falls into place and we attract divine grace. EGO - Edging God Out. Ego comes when we forget God similar to firefly compared to Sun. We forget God made this world. If we bring greatness of God, we become humble. Moment pride enters, God's grace disappears. In the street of Divine love, only God exist, there is no I. In youth there is lot of pride. Pride resides in the intellect. So intellect is unable to know we have pride. Pride causes all the problem. We have pride of doership. Oh Shree Krishna! whatever I did, you enabled me to do it. You are the source of power and the enjoyer of the result. We need to have that humbleness. Pride is the no.1 obstacle in the spiritual path. Pride is preventing us from fast progress in the spiritual path. Please like, comment and share this eye opening video.

I have a blocked coronary artery, and when I get chest pains and arrhythmia I think. Every beat of my heart belongs to God! Every breath I take belongs to God! Every second I live is given by God! This instantly makes me feel calm and better!
I have a lots of proudly thinkings towards my skill, and I was saw the other peoples as a lower stage of skill, but when I was joint with jk yog as a volunteer, then they provide me different kinds of seva for maharaj ji, but I can't complete any one of these seva without the help of jk yog team. In jk yog team a number of volunteers who have perfect knowledge of many kinds of skills, on the basis of which they can do maharaj ji's seva perfectly. And also they help to me to completing my seva (with purely humbleness amd kind fully.... From that time I feel that I don't have any skill without the skill of ego in my life. Thank you maharaj ji, swami ji and jk yog team.....
Sometimes I tend to intellectual/spiritual arrogance, to a feeling of superiority about others, that only my opinions/believes are correct and all deviating positions must be wrong or inferior.
How presumptuous I am! If I only would be half as advanced as I think, I wouldn't be in this material world any longer. I'm only here because I'm a fool who still failed to learn my lesson.

So true, its so natural to feel proud whenever we accomplish something. It is so deeply ingrained - since childhood we are habituated to receiving trophies and awards and compliments for accomplishing something and feel good and proud and in turn also get encouraged to try harder. We can't not have pride until our consciousness is material. Need to work on fixing this limiting mindset that is detrimental to our spiritual progress.

Swamiji beautifully says that the ego increases our pride and blocks humility. Sources of pride are youth, wealth, knowledge, and unique set of skills. The worse of all is the pride of doership that makes us forget that our assets are gifts of God. Pride is the biggest obstacle on the path of spirituality. Im 16yrs old & trying to be on the Spiritual path i believe that in my past life i must have loved Bhagwan a lot . Im trying to serve god in my this life too but my Ego & laziness diverted me from it . Who am I? What is there to be proud about? What self-esteem do we have to have? - Swamiji asks us to ponder over these questions. He says, any kind of self-esteem is a lie. It is falsehood. The real self-esteem is to establish ourselves in the Supreme truth that we're the tiny little parts of God, and our utmost interest lies in surrendering & serving Him. With these sentiments, when we destroy the false pride/ego, and become humble, everything falls into place. The more we develop humbleness, the healthier our personality become. Pride complicates our life, whereas being humble, we attract the grace of God.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 6 months ago about self development. Now I have 559 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

Absolutely true, Pride comes as we forget god. When listening to Guruji we can realise that it is the truth. It's as if *Lord Shri Krishna* has sent his message in the form of a humble and wise *Guruji* . I was sad, melancholic and depressed.. beacuse of some of my duty responsibility failure.., i left 2 jobs because of inferiority feelings i felt while working with seniors.. But it was my self esteem or we called ego.. But it didnt helped me for my progress.. It is impossible to control our ego because ego is part of our identity. So we need to channalise it's flow towards Benifits and help for humanity rather than allowing to move natural direction animal instinct.

Sometimes I am able to counter the thoughts of pride by reminding myself my value is space and time. Earth is tiny part of this universe and I hold a tiny place on this earth. This universe is so old that my lifespan is just a bubble. This approach is material but nevertheless has helped me in the past. Of course what SwamiJi is describing here is the higher truth. We are rays of the Sun.

The day true humbleness comes to one, that day one becomes God-realized. Hanumanji’s humbleness was he is a servant of Shri Ram Ji. Once we start becoming more humble we start attracting God. God hates ego and love humbleness, all the material souls will have this ego but our intellect doesn't recognize. Only Guru ans Saints know this so we need to become humble to receive the grace of God and Guru. Always thing that if we do any thing good, because of gods grace we did that. He debunked the theory of self esteem and brought the knowledge that we should develop humility. Pride stems from 2 things mostly, what we have and from the sense of doership. No, I don't have any pride in me. After a deep slumber, I am finally Awake. When I was young, I had good looks - and every hour I would go to the mirror and appreciate my looks.
But now, my good looks have gone. And the pain of loosing my good looks made me humble. And the pain that I went for about ten years, made me introspective - and finally I realized that I am nothing else but pure consciousness - so why was I proud of my Body, why was I proud of things, that I thought that were mine? There is nothing in this world that is yours. There is nothing to be proud of. And only when you are humble, can you tread the path to spirituality. So true - most of the pain we suffer is because of the need to upkeep our pride. We want to feel good about ourselves and want to be somewhere on the higher end of social status bar in terms of money, power, intelligence, skills, family, etc. - some combination of all these. Our Pride gets steam from assuring that majority of our acquaintances think of us as successful and better than average. This is a tough one to overcome indeed. Not even sure where to begin. Swamiji very nicely explained how pride causes own destruction. He gave various situations as an example which causes pride. The young age, it feels us make pride as we grow, it reduces. Liked the example of elephant and the mouse, where the mouse asked if elephant wearing its short pants. Also, it was an eye opener for me how selfish team does not help, good to know the kids who were self esteem were not able to cope with the real time situations. Like Hanuman Ji, we need to feel be humble as a servant of the supreme Lord Sri Krishna, as every work we need to do for his pleasure. We did not bring anything and we cannot take anything with us. All that we possess is coming from Lord either the talent possessions etc. as we are thinking that is ours and I have these kind of skills causing pride and which is the cause of quarrel as well. The example of Akbar and Birbal story which is again, revealing because of the intoxication of pride we will not be able to function properly. I do have another opening from this lecture that the inferiority complex comes from the desire to become superior thank you Swamiji, for revealing gem of knowledge for our welfare, which reveals the importance of humbleness

About 10 years ago, I had a real struggle to die to self. What I am referring to is getting rid of the things in my mind that block my progression to God. By 2014 I began to visit all of the many religions here in Raleigh, NC. I first met Swamiji at the temple
in Morrisville, NC, and persevered up until Sept. Then I was busy with work; so now I am connecting again. For me, dying to self
helps me to lose the inhibitions. I love everyone: the good, bad or the ugly. My soul gravitates toward helping people who are desperately struggling to survive. There's so many people all over the world who need even water and food. I perceive that we are all brothers and sisters. There's much to explore.
