The time on the video for installation is a bit misleading. It doesn't account for the additional 30 minutes needed to constantly pull the screws and tools off of the magnets. :)

@@boaz3650 I have just installed mine today. Amazing feeling but I can confirm that it is a nuisance having to pull the screws of the magnets every 5 seconds
Fanatec never ceases to amaze me with the idiotic design decisions. If you have Clubsport pedals and have tried to mount them, you'll get the exact same enjoyment.
For anyone interested, yes it appears this wheel and these additional paddles will work well for paraplegics who need throttle and brake on the wheel and REALLY DONT want to use click on/off buttons. You have to swap over the two large paddles and a very slight touch on the grinding wheel for another set of paddles was needed to get all 4 clickers and the analogue working together. Feels great in the hand, I now need to build a rig to bolt the motor to, which weighs half a tonne!
hey man! so are you fully satisfied with this solution for paraplegics? i’m askin because i’m also paraplegic and lookin for some solution about wheel. how about tight corners? its ok to control gas/brake with paddles?
@@tomislaw43 i am not paraplegic but i think that this would perfectly work for someone who cant use pedals , its certainly harder than using pedals but with some training and probably usage of traction control at the beginning and everithing is going to be alright

@@boaz3650 i have this on my Porsche wheel and F1 V2 wheel. shifting is more precise and the extra paddle inputs are nice for say brake bias or look left/right. if you set up clutch bit points, standing starts are easier/consistent and if you dont you can always assign them to do other things. yes!

Here's a thought... maybe supply screws/bolts that are demagnetized when they have to be inserted into incredibly tight spaces that are surrounded by magnets.
I thought design of the impossible to reach mounting holes for CSP v3 was beyond absurd, especially for the third generation, but this is a new level.
After owning Fanatec gear going back to the birth of Clubsport, I couldn't be happier to see so many more options in the market. Removing the shifters necessarily scratched the paint because of stupie design. Yes, stupid. And now, you have to have the little fingers of 6 year old Uyghur day laborer to access all of this crap to reassemble it.
I’ve had such a job installing these. First the original paddle connectors were stuck so couldn’t be removed. Then, the original paddle was blocking access to the second screw to remove it. This is supposed to be a 5 minute job but I’ve been trying for half an hour and I’m no further. I’m not incompetent with these sort of things but this has not been a smooth install.
UPDATE: cable tie on the advanced paddle module is now stopping me from doing up the Allen screw to but the module on.
Now the new connections won’t go into the ports. Yes I have got them the correct way round. This is a joke, have I got a bad unit or something?
I wish I'd read more of these reviews. I'm so sick of Fanatec's poor design and shortcuts. After spending literally thousands on their junk, I'm done.
How do I set this up? When trying to set the bitepoint below 100 the car start driving away?
You should release these tutorials the day you launch the product. I had to figure it out myself the day I got it.

I have the older Formula V2(.5x) without the magnetic shifters, it had the stock spring loaded Orange shifter paddles

Hello, after connecting the blades to the new steering wheel f1 limited version entering the settings I can not assign the upper blades does not see them at all, the lower blades also do not. Does anyone know what the problem may be? I play ps4.

Hey, maybe someone can help me. I just got mine and the upper ones don’t work. Do i need to update my base? I only have apple products how do I even update it ?😩🙏
It's important to keep firmware up to date, and this can only be performed using a Windows PC (desktop or laptop would work). You may need to update the firmware on multiple components, for example wheel base firmware, motor firmware, and steering wheel firmware. These are all contained within a single driver package, the current version being 381, which you can find in the Downloads tab of all products (such as the Formula V2).
Do these work on the McLaren v2 wheel ?

It's a pitty you didn't deliver a hex screw driver too loosen those preinstalled peddal flaps. So they can be lowered so you can reach the screw for getting them off the v2 steering wheel. It's a weird size that non of my tools had.

@@yungdadi The Podium Button Module Endurance is not compatible with the Forza steering wheel. It is planned to launch this year.

Brian Given its what I hope. Any replica of a current f1 rim. Doubt it will happen but fanatec always here to surprise! Pretty much the same as the close to perfect V2 Exept a slight better look and a LCD. Take the paddles in the package:)
@@brodeur212 ok just checking. To me, this IS their replica F1 wheel. Before taxes, this puppy is already well over $500 and it's simply buttons and switches that map to a normal controller pad.
@@brodeur212 What you are asking for is a large (touch?) screen with it's own GUI and reprogrammable interface that'll be cross compatible with multiple consoles, PC's, and most all racing games. That'll be pushing $1000 and they'll never make their R&D investment back..
@@brodeur212 This is the best compromise of cost, value, and compatibility, in my opinion. It'll work on all games/platforms, without costing a decent used car! Not much you can ask for, as long as it works with PS5 it'll be used for many years.

If this took you a while I feel bad. I will say the only hard part for me was putting one of the paddle bolts in on each side.

I absolutely love them. 100 times better than the stock spring paddles, and the dual clutch is a life saver.

I was stoked to install these until I opened the box and it was missing a tool. For how much these cost I was not expecting to be missing a bit. Incredibly frustrating experience to have to go out and buy a tiny tool these paddles should have come with. Not sure how that happens but it's all set up and it feels nice. Okay, whining over.

The assembly process is stupidly time consuming and unbearable, not something I've paid for. These should come pre-assembled or anything.
And f1 2019 codemaster game witch is official f1 esport game does not support the full functions of APM from Fanatec, the company witch is a official f1 esport series partner for equipment for simracing. XD
since manual starts were added in the f1 games the clutch was a button, not only f1 2018, we got used to it
@@robert.39 I was talking about a upper paddles, they do not work in f1 2019 game, you can't assign function to this paddles.
And you can see "FANATEC" billboards on some of the F1 2019 tracks...

Ofcaurse it does. It works with the V2 steering wheel regardless of the wheel hub base
