Quicker method: use a Terrco pantograf profile, ( 4 or 10 units) to copy a real rifle profile. Some outstanding parts my have to be removed to allow clear shaping, and added later ( as in 3D copying) A lot less handwork. I have made 2 x PPSh Sub Guns on wood, using bandsaw, drum Sanders, routers, and additional metal parts ( sights, trigger guard, cocking handle) in metal. Proper paint job ( grey- black, silver) makes a Stage perfect prop. ( play, " Two Soldiers" , in Russian, by Australian playwright, set 1945.) Doc AV
Hi, I had taken the measurements out of the original rifle, 44 inches. use a 8 by 2 by 6 ft. board, you can these at any of ye local lumber store. good luck hope this tutorial helps you.
Could you upload pattern for cutting wood? I really want to try make it but I really doubt that I'm capable to make good shape "by eye". Very nice work!
sorry chum..I used a2x8 piece of wood i bought from the local lumber yard. and traced the original rifle and used a jigsaw, cutting knife and a file to smooth the rough edges.
This man is doing side quest at this point like the Only reason we make Prop rifle is we cant own real rifle , then he just pull out a real rifle as a Scale model
hi. I made the bolt from a long circular wooden sampling, bought from a local hardware store. cut, then cut a hard plastic hook part of a clothes hanger. Used a heat gun and bend. drill a hole in wood added smaller parts and painted black and grey. Had to brain storm on this one.
hello there, I didn't use any drawings for the rifle..I did some real scale from the real weapon and use my imagination on how to shape the rifle to keep it accuarte..
