We are not only rejecting the punitive finance bill but also corrupt and punitive Kenyan politicians who masquerade as leaders while busy squandering public funds while common citizens languish in poverty. We say no to corruption and impunity! Enough is Enough!

It's sad that 10 people lost their lives in this demonstration
For the majority, it was a peaceful protest, and Kenya is a very free country... but in every protest there are a few people that go beyond the rules, and in most cases that's when you risk your life. My guess is they lost their life when trying to break in the government buildings. But let's see when there will be more news

Talk about a LIVE presentation! I watched your LIVE uncut version, and now this premier on the protest in Kenya. Two things we’re guaranteed to encounter during life is taxes and death. I can sympathize with these protesters regarding the government increasing taxes. If there is indeed corruption within the Kenyan government, these people have every right to protest. There are so many unanswered questions here, making it difficult to take a stand on the issue. For example, are these tax increases for everyone, or just the common people. In the USA, corporations, millionaires, and billionaires pay less in taxes than the average wage earning individual. Unfair taxation exists within many countries of the world. Governments are going to collect taxes, one way or another. Perhaps this protest will bring about some middle of the road agreement, and perhaps not, but let’s hope for the best, and that it gets resolved. Most of the people here protesting here appeared to be young. Is there any understanding of economics within the group? After you boil it all down, it’s a give and take situation. I will take the opportunity to read up more on this situation. I thank you for bringing us this first hand news! Do be careful. As of now, 10 people have been killed by police, and that is an injustice, considering that this is a peaceful protest.
