That was so unbelievably cool to see a spaceplane being assembled, so much cool space hardware in one video, more like this pls!
Clear skies and fair winds y’all!
I can't imagine how proud they must feel watching their completed work drive away like that.
You have to call one of the future Dream Chasers 'Farscape 1'...and get Ben Browder along with the rest of the Farscape cast for a great PR moment!
This really looks like Sierra Space spared no expense. Good luck.
There’s no doubt that! Since even the prototype is proposed to be reusable, I’m sure Sierra will be built to be used three to five missions ,the stress levels must be high enough to be able to withstand the high stress levels required for multiple launches as well as reentry and landing with a minimum of repair and maintenance before being able to return for launch. The less time required to be reused is the foundation of lowering both costs and downtime. Undergoing all manner of inspections in determining repair and/ or upgrade costs to determine the needs required for the system to operate within its requirements of operation! And that doesn’t come cheap! It does save on the production costs. It fills an important need for its use in the future of space.
Really looking forwards to the first flight later this year.
I first heard about this years ago and now the ‘baby shuttle’ is nearly ready.
The scale was originally designed in 1964 by the Russian astrophysicist Nikolai Kardashev (who was looking for signs of extraterrestrial life within cosmic signals). It has 3 base classes, each with an energy disposal level: Type I (10¹⁶W), Type II (10²⁶W), and Type III (10³⁶W). Other astronomers have extended the scale to Type IV (10⁴⁶W) and Type V (the energy available to this kind of civilization would equal that of all energy available in not just our universe, but in all universes and in all time-lines). These additions consider both energy access as well as the amount of knowledge the civilizations have access to.
Look how much work went into building this. Now imagine what it took to build multiple space shuttles. True marvel of engineering especially for those days.
Tenacity does indeed represent the tenacity and perseverance of the sierra space team. Best wishes for the journey ahead😊
Real tenacity will be building more when the bugs shake out. Best wishes for the learning ahead.
I have such high faith that this mission will be a resounding success. Sierra is highly professional, their design innovative yet reliable. Go sierra! Go Tenacity!
Kibicuję wam od kilku lat. Jest śliczny. Powodzenia.
To all those how created this ship it's a work of engineering art. Awesome work.
Jurassic Park Cage , excellent name for a transport trailer! cant wait for launch
Sierra: It is exciting to watch you grow and succeed. You are obviously a talented and proud family that believes in what they are creating.
May your testing run smoothly. May Tenacity always return to Earth in one piece. And may your engineers meet their unforeseen challenges with the same wisdom they put into making this fine spacecraft!
Fantastic video! Thank you Sierra Space!!
My God, she’s beautiful! I can’t wait to see her fly!❤️❤️❤️
Just...fantastic. Can't wait to see the ship fly
Thanks you to all the crew and staff Sierra space for making a magnificent craft. I am sure you are going to make so many kids around the country, inspired to do the kind of work to advance the future of space travel and exploration. God speed.
Very cool! Now I’ve got to get Scott Manley to watch and explain this in a slower video 😂 🚀👍🏻
A lot of hard work (hopefully) about to pay off. Best of luck to everyone involved!
Best wishes for a successful launch and safe return this year.
Amazing engineering. spacecrafts are so complex always amaze to see how much time & effort evolve around that one Great Shoe to Space. Great times.
I can't believe it has come this far. Every day is another step closer towards flight, definitely the best looking space craft ever. 💪🏼💪🏼
So cool. What a beautiful vehicle. Truly a work of art ❤
Parabéns para todos engenheiros envolvidos, é sempre homenageia aqueles quê deram suas vidas nas viagens para nosso futo.🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Pretty cool to see the build. It reminds me of a fast car.🤑
Good luck with the awesome cool space-place Sierra. Canna wait :)
Amazing! Can't wait to see it fly!
Impressive work well done I hope all this hard work pays off. Keep at it don't give up.
Amazing to see it beeing assembled 😃 best of luck!
It certainly looks like you guys know what you're doing. Hope to see Tenacity fly soon! Btw love the "Jurassic Park Cage" too.
Wonderfull may all your endevours be greater and fruitful. Big up👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
It can,
but this guy’s taking a Vulcan 🖖
But it’s not going to.
It looks beautiful, like a space sportscar. The amount of problem solving to put that together and make it work is the real story. Imagine dozens of them in near space and human rated too. Fingers crossed for a huge success.
Amazing! Godspeed Tenacity!
Now this is the future of space transportation 👍🏻
Its soviet past
Ah my beauty. I have been waiting to see a craft like you make it to space ever since I learned about the X-20 Dyna-soar as a child.
A personal-scale space vehicle, not a space truck like the Shuttle.
Bon voyage!
Fantastic job everyone!!
Kind of insane how much work is going into these things.
Cool to see it built! Congrats to the teams that made it happen, and best wishes for its incredible success! 🎉
(Also, it reminds me of the spaceship from the Incredible Flying Oddball)
Godspeed Dream Chaser!
Prajem príjemnú cestu na ISS a držím palce.👍👍👍👍👍
I really wish the Sierra Space team the best !
Beautiful!
Looks like its from the show Farscape. Love it!
Amazing technological project! Go Dream Chaser🤞
Nice shot of the Flatirons!
Wow thats super heavy work.
Dream Chaser, I'm awaiting your launch. Go, Dream Chaser.
wir leben in aufregenden zeiten! viel erfolg!
my fingers are crossed for this hope all goes well.
Had to watch that at 0.25 speed to catch all the details on that wire routing and mechanical work. If you aint looking at the destinations, but looking at the ships, then UDC is the prettiest!
I wonder why so many enthusiasts were involved in repeating the project of Soviet designers of the 60s (Mig - 105.11 Spiral), and building this device as something new?
quel appareil magnifique bravo a toutes vos équipes 🖖
Cool music!
Go Tenacity, go Sierra Space!
❤it!🙏Decades of Successes!
keep up the good work.
2:15 Is that toothed piece sourced from Spacely Sprockets or Cogswell Cogs? :)
I've loved spaceplanes from when they were in the concept stage and the Jetsons were first-run episodes. Still love 'em. Have a great flight!
This is the future I wanted to live in!
Humanity at its greatest!
Very Cool 😎💜
Es una maquina maravillosa y muy aerodinámica y vanguardista, digno heredero de la época de los vehículos alados.
Bon Voyage ! Launch date ?
As soon as Vulcan is ready and NASA can fit it in on the ISS’s schedule.
Aiming for April or if the Vulcan isn’t ready then later this year
This is really great and shows the high technology available in the USA. 🇺🇸 Ever rising since the epic story of the founding fathers.
Its extremely impressive❤
this is badass
Спираль - БОР С4 (копии проектов развитой цивилизации из прошлого)
Looks very exciting, the whole epace industry looks so much more energized since the renewed competition to be the first, to be the best.
But this spacecraft reminds me of the one in the sci-fi series, i think it was called something like farscape or something like that. Lol
Funnily, the sci-fi series get their visuals from actual tech proposals or hardware. Spaceplanes have been around since the Dyna-Soar in the 1960s; there have been many successors.
Yet another reminder that NASA made a mistake going with Boeing in Commercial Crew. Sierra Space was always the better bet.
The capabilities of the U.S. research and manufacturing entity are believed to be very strong
Это же ЛАПОТЬ!
Super!
And now they shake ittttttt
L’homme est capable de telle merveille ❤❤❤❤
Let's gooo! 🍺😀🔥🚀
Push push push push 🗣️🔥
Это же копия одной из разработок конструкторского бюро имени Королева! Хоть американцы заменили его по достоинству, Може у вас дадут ему шанс полетать, успехов!
It looks it could be capable of sub sea adventures .
Это челнок русского авиаконструктора Лозина-Лозинского, проекта «Спираль», был спроектирован еще в 60-х годах в СССР.
Watched at 0.25 the normal speed. Outstandingly impressive.
One team , One dream
Very cool
Beautiful time-lapse.
Only criticism is the lack of sidewalls on the trailer. Never did I think you'd take that kind of investment out on public roads in a cage.
I'm sure you closed the roads or had an escort or whatever, but you can't control much out on a road, so put it in a box, with sides. It isn't the shuttle so it already fits on a semi.
Go Dream Chaser. Go Sierra Space.
This is the former Spiral project - developed in the USSR, it was closed by the Minister of Defense Andrei Grechko, who, after reviewing it, said: "We will not engage in fantasies!". However, the developments in this program were used in the creation of the "Buran".
Roger Huston "Farscape 1" is clear for launch!
Is there *one* person who knows *every* section of engineering that goes into this craft?
It seems so complex but I suppose after breaking it down like anatomy and familiarizing yourself to how each component is created, their purpose and how they’re operated, it’d be like conducting an orchestra to put it all together.
If the head mind in charge does know it all in depth, they must feel like a launch is an orchestral hall with the world watching
That’s awesome…
Now this looks like the module from farscape
2726+ Degrees F, 24,923+ mph; Dream Chaser indeed
May MiG-105 be proud of his great grandson
Are they applying heat shields to plane after the tests? There seems to be some missing.
Nice 💯🎉🎉🎉
project spiral USSR nice :)
In the spirit of von Braun :)
Is the white causing light absorbstion that resulting in the use of heat tiles on re-entry. The absorbstion the heat pressures
Not an original or new idea, but still very cool, and with new technologies, should prove viable
Hang on, isnt that the Farscape project?
Build more please
I volunteer to be launched into space. I want off this planet.
