I do not understand the hate towards PDM, frankly I prefer this house over Creed & other niche houses for example. Amazing scents & the 4 PDM I own are pure quality.
They did nueter the best tobacco vanilla fragrance ever, herod. It's pretty bad lately. I have a late 2023, skin scent in 1 hour. Gone in 5

Their Quality went down a lot , They dont project nor last as they were , Defo not Matching the Price tag

I tried at Nordstrom. They had a decant a few weeks ago. I only smelled on paper. Was not that excited with it. She describes it very well. Better than Hermes. I’d take it over Y elixir.

Tried this a couple of weeks ago at Nordstrom, and it was pretty awesome, definitely fresh and great dry down too.
I love Perseus! It’s one of the o my freshies that actually lasts for me.
This is my first blind buy lol! And I don’t regret buying it! My friend also recently gave me a Greenley and Perseus does give off a similar smell, but I’m relatively new to the fragrance world and I can tell Perseus does its own thing from Greenley. Greenley to me is more sweet, Perseus is sharper and bit more bitter.
Received my bottle and I do love it! Your review is on the spot and describes it perfectly, I am in love with the creamy dry down too❤
I have not heard anybody else make a comparison to Creed Aventus, but I think your explanation of that is spot on. I watched your video last week, then ordered it from PDM's USA website and tried it. I experienced what you are talking about with a sprinkle of an Creed Aventus vibe but with different fruit notes and a creaminess. Well done explanation. I think we can say it has a similar "structure base and overall" to Creed Aventus but with all different top and middle notes which make it nothing like Aventus. Probably some similar notes to Terre de Hermes but nothing like it because of the different structure. Terre de Hermes to me smells like Oligarch by Roja.
I never smelled the actual Burlington 1819 by Roja as I only smelled a dupe which was by Dua Fragrances, but to me the opening in Perseus for a few seconds reminded me of that smell which is a very fruity bitter burnt orange zest. I need to get the actual Roja 1819 and compare just the opening.
After the opening on Perseus, then it starts to become creamy while creating that Aventus structure with different notes.
When I think of an Aventus structure I think of a very strong base notes surrounding a very strong fruit note and both are constant in harmoney never over powering the two and always being together. This has a similar vibe but also has creaminess connecting the notes. Plus in this one the notes are more blurred and less distinct then Aventus.

I keep seeing complaints about PDM prices. Buy at discounters! This one isn't available yet at discounters cause it's new, but if I can get 125ml of PDM Oajan for $200 at Frag Buy compared to $150 for 60ml of Dior Sauvage Elixir, or 100ml of Dior Sauvage Elixir for $205. I know which ones I think are over-priced.

Smells brilliant, like a natural grapefruit on your skin which turns to strong vetiver in about an hour. Brilliant purfumery, a citrus fragrance done to perfection. Only gripe I have, is that it's quite monotone, it smells brilliant but it's not very interesting. If citrus is what you like, you'll fall in love with it, but if you like complicated scents that change and develop, you'll be left a bit dry

I own perseus and aventus, and there is no comparison in any way. Perseus does last at least 8 hrs + on the skin and doesn't change in the dry down much. For me, it is not a good smelling fragrance at all. I would choose terre d hermes over perseus if you're looking for a citrus fragrance.
Another paid influencer trying to hype this one up, in my opinion, it's the worst out of the whole PDM line. Nice looking bottle though.

The grapefruit and citrus is very realistic but then it starts to turn into a bug spray smell sorta on my skin but then the dry down is really nice. Smells better on paper than on my skin slightly. Two different people (that know how often I’m doing stuff outdoors) asked me if I went fishing. Projects really well for the first couple of hours. The grapefruit and citrus plus the Vetiver are the most pronounced scents throughout the duration of wearing it. Safe blind buy but recommends to sample it first. Very different than all of the other fragrances by this house. Overall, it’s very well blended and the opening is luxurious

I got the bug spray thing but only on the first wear. Second wear and forward I never got that again.

I disagree on the performance. Maybe its just my skin and clothes but this thing i can smell for solid 10h, first two three it leaves a trail and fills the room, not overwhelm just fils. Its very mature and creates a cloud around you that projects citrus vetiver and wood

The opening is similar to TDH but it’s mainly the grapefruit and vetiver combo that remind you of TDH. The dry down on this is very similar to Elysium PC but Perseus is much more musky and a bit sweet and Elysium is a bit more green and less musky. Perseus though projects and lasts way longer than Elysium. I got to say I am not very fond of the opening and the first 30-40 mins until it gets to that far dry down, that’s when the magic happens. It’s a bit more feminine leaning/ unisex than Elysium, but good nonetheless. If you don’t get to that 45 min. far dry down and don’t try it on skin, you are not really getting to know Perseus.
PdM rarely does break new ground. What they seem to do best is perfect a likeable DNA, produce a highly polished version and slap a PdM price tag on it. Not a knock against them, I own some of their fragrances. Just an observation.
HONESTLY IF ITS THAT FRESH. THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST WENT ALL IN ON THEIR OWN TAKE ON AVENTUS.

I kinda get why some people like to hate on PDM ...but I also think those people don't catch on the subtleties that most of their fragrances have ...so far this is my favourite house and it'll continue to do so unless they star doing some really unethical shit..or I find something that I like more which is also a possibility time will tell

I’ve had a decant of this for about a week now. This is basically Tom Ford Gray vetiver EDP with some creamy, cashmere wood in the background.
Grey vetiver smells totally different to my nose

I bought a 2 yr old Oajan from eBay, it’s authentic of course. But l was at Saks to smell this new release and sprayed their Oajan on my other arm to compare and it’s wayyyyy weaker. I hope they don’t start watering everything down for these prices

No way! Isola Blue is next level luxury Parfum. Unique, although inspired by Terre de Hermès but with better ingredients, masculine and timeless. Isola Blue can only be directly compared to Oud Blue Intense from Fragrance Du Bois, which is as well a masterpiece, and for a better per ml price 👍👍

Just got decants of pdm perseus and darley first sniff darley is kinda wow wow i like it! Few mins later as im typing mew its ok? I like! Its different than what I've smelled kinda good kinda different! Kinda old school I know it came out like 10 years ago but????? Perseus is ok not bad but I was really hoping I'd be wowed I need a full bottle!! I'm really not with either of them at least not at pdm prices! Pdm greenley is far better than both for a summer spring fragrance I even think I like sedley better and I'm not a sedley hype person but just 1st impression maybe they will grow on me
And I'm not hating on the house I love Pdm I have a few!that I love! These just might not be for me

PDM makes some good fragrances, but unlike many other niche brands, I've never tried one that I thought was worth their price tag.

In the trash it went. I kept spraying it in the air, hoping to smell something… anything that I would like. NOPE. Perseus is ABSOLUTELY horrible. I’m trying to figure out who would want to smell like this fragrance - it’s so bad. Yeah, I know, so don’t bother telling me, because i know, but I blind bought it. I know, I know. DON’T BLIND BUY. Well I did. 48 hours later - Perseus was in the trash.

PDM is just a glorified designer fragrance house. And most if not all reviewers are paid promoters of the brand. The scents themselves are nothing new and nothing special, Fortunately for the brand, the masses of people just want mass appealing/easy wearing/lady killer/top ten/best club frag/panty dropper/this will get you compliments/this will make you a god, smelling fragrances. As a society we draw our value/worth from external things and fragrances tend to be one of them.

I’ve only tried Layton and Herod and they smell really good. I’d say there are some really similar scents to Herod for less money, but Layton, amazing.
