Thanks for doing this head 2 head review. Both of these comprise my shortlist of options so it was very helpful for me. In my case, I’m leaning towards the Seatcraft because I prefer fabric options and Valencia doesn’t offer any. Based on your comments, I think all other criteria im looking at is minor. Thanks again.
You can velcro on a piece of black leather or vinyl over the switches to cover them up when you need. Let the piece hang over the buttons and use the one piece of velcro at the top.
Super helpful video - thank you! To confirm, are your Valencia Tuscany's in "Charcoal Grey" or "Black"? They look great, but I noticed they have much more of a matte finish and less shine/gloss than nearly every other video I've seen of the "Black" version - thus, I am wondering if it's your camera or they are the grey. Many thanks! I'm about to grab some I think.
Thank you! They are excellent seats. There are days where I am in my theater and in these seats for hours. They are really comfortable. Between the lights and my camera, they may look different in the video. But, they are black and not shiny.
@@stillbluehometheater1056 Wow I'm shocked - aside from their Luxury and Ultimate line, it seems every photo and video I've seen of their black seats are very shiny. I wonder if this was a previous version. Many thanks for your response. So helpful when in buying mode.
Great review. Can you comment on how the seats are holding up? Any panels failing? Any chair wear/tear that is above and beyond what you are expecting?
I have no issues at all with any of the seats. The electronics are still working. The cushions are still supportive. And, the leather has no wear at all. We use the seats very often.
great review. now that it has been a little bit, how do you like the bass shakers? I am torn between these two brands and I feel like the bass shakers would be a fun upgrade. But I would also prefer a softer feel.
I have not yet tried the shakers. But, I plan to at some point. If you prefer a softer feel, I think the Valencia seats may be the way to go. Both are great seats.
Nice Review! I am looking at these chairs. I have a question. The space Im putting these I am limited in width. So I plan to get the loveseat, the 7 inches make the walkway better. Do you have any downsides only having an armrest on one side.
Great comparison, and i went with Seatcraft Equinox since I liked the color better. Questoin, will the Valencia accessories specifically the ipad/iphone accessory work on seatcraft? i like the valencia phone adapter better than seatcraft, but i have
GREAT COMPARISON - THANKS. I'm close to doing Valencia XL Tuscany. Thel lumbar - if I don't use it - - do you think that lumbar section of the seat presses into your back too much? Also - - there's an option for extra padding - -do you feel the current padding is enough? Would the extra padding be too much? Thanks
The padding seems enough for me. I am pretty broad and on the heavier side at over 200lbs. Last football season, there were days I spend most of the day in those seats with no issues with comfort. When the lumbar is fully disengaged I do not feel any added pressure. The lumbar area is soft but supportive.
Valencia leaves a lot to be desired. The Valencia panels will fail, and will have to be reached at $100 each. 3 out of 4 of mine have failed and my chairs have only been in use for 2 years. Shop around.
Trying to decide between the Seatcraft Capricorn and Valencia Tuscany XL. I wanted to understand the differences and reached out to Valencia, but two reps claimed to know nothing about Seatcraft. Seems like you would know your competition... For my two rows of three seats, it would be a more than $2k price difference. Lumbar support, hardware to connect the seats, and leather identified by a nonstandard grading system seem to be the only differences. Does that seem right? Is Valencia worth that premium?
I've had a similar experience in trying to decide between the two. Valencia really plays dumb and pretends not to know who Seatcraft or any of their competitors are, or the suspiciously similar designs. They really want you to think their business just consists of a short Italian guy in a small shop in Venice somehow cranking out 1,000 of these seats a day. "China manufacturers stuff, never heard of that country here in 1800s Canad..Ugh I mean Italia". Your differences noted are the only ones I have found although Seatcraft tells me they have a more advanced spring padding system and higher grade power controllers than Valencia.
Yes, they are both doing very well. As long as you aren't too rough on them, they should hold up fine. The leather and cushioning on mine are as good as day one.
Nice comparison, thanks for posting. We’re the Valencia’s the Ultimate version or the regular Tuscany? The leather seemed more matte looking like the ultimate, which is what I prefer - but if the regular is also matte, I can go that route and save a lot of money. Thanks
Both of these versions appear to be older models, 2020-ish. You can tell by the armrest hinges. The 2020 Tuscany version seems to have the more matte finish, which looks as lot nicer. I have to wonder if that leather finish is now being sold as the Luxury version (Nappa Leather 11000)
The mechanics between the brands are pretty much the same. Motorized on both. Plenty of range on it. No problems for any one in my house. The main differences between the two are the feel of the leather, the lumbar function and the firmer feel of the Seatcraft.
Both are exactly the same--shape and functionality. The only difference is that the Valencia, like the rest of the chair, is softer. The Seatcraft is very firm. Much less "sinkage". Both are supportive. It will depend on your personal preference--a firmer feel or softer.
@@afymehmood5722 I have had the seats for over a year and we sit in them often. No sagging. And, they are quality seats. They look and feel the same as the day I got them. I do not think you can go wrong with them.

Enjoyed the comparison, thanks for that! 2 questions. 1) Do you need an AC outlet for EACH chair? 2) What is your Wall paint color? Thanks
Thank you! Yes, each seat requires an outlet. The wall paint is Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black.

For me, not at all. I have not found myself wanting a second arm rest. The right front row seat is my main seat.

Do the tray tables from the Seatcraft seats fit in the Valencia chairs? Thanks.
No, the pin does not fit.

How is headrest position on both? One model better for taller people?

Hi
Great video. I was wandering if you could compare the headrest of both chairs in terms of support, padding and movement?

If valencia sits in, you think the seats would eventually sag?

what are the dimensions of the riser

Riser detail is at the 9:41 mark.
What are those stands you have your speakers seating on the floor called ?
The stands were a DIY project.
Cool deal wish you could make video about how you made them
The Valencia Tuscany is ridiculously overpriced, they seem like very good seats, but there is a lot of hype artificially created about these seats.
