Great timing. My scouting trip is coming up!
Scouting trip to CDMX before end of year!!! But got the others on my list from our group coaching session.
I need a scouting trip because I'm thinking of Mexico City. The problem is I've lived at sea level most of my life. The elevation and possible elevation sickness is scary.
I’m currently in Mexico City on somewhat of a scouting trip. The elevation hasn’t been too much of a barrier. Getting acclimated to the noise (hence the sirens in Shida’s video), the digestive issues from the water and food preparation differences, and the dryness. The neighborhoods are quaint and so cute. I would strongly suggest coming. It’s so much more affordable.
Go anyway, I was there for a weekend and I was fine. You just have to hydrate more
@@idaltucc How is transportation? Have you been on public transit? I can't drive but I want to be able to move around. Is Uber inexpensive and accessible?
@@gg13308 I also need to secure a remote job if possible. It's all up in the air until I have some sort of income even if it's just $1500 a month I believe I can live comfortably off that. I've watched videos about housing and most look like they can get something decent for less than $700. I also need to look into how to have my visa together. I'm actually trying to spend some significant time outside the US to see if I want to make that permanent not just visit.
Hmmm, all I can think about is sleep but I guess we do need to be checking out neighborhoods and pricing and SEF stuff and stuff. Yet, all I can think about is sleep...
I kinda washed over this idea at first, but the more I think about it, I think you're right, I have to approach a move abroad differently than my US move approach. I've always had a car, so having things close by or the personality of the neighborhood wasn't that serious (those details beyond the dealbreakers such as food markets, etc). Great video
