I haven't even been able to leave the U.S. yet. I just feel so supported and hopeful because of what you and Stephanie do (among many other wonderful black women). 💐
@ntiriwa Serbia is a wonderful place for Black people. Historically, Serbia (and Yugoslavia), welcomed African students to study as far back as the 1950s! And the Yugoslavia government had its Non-Alliance movement (equivalent to NATO), so Black people have been coming to Serbia for generations. I have lived in Serbua for 2.5 years, and met many Africans, Black Americans, Europeans, who live, work, study, or like me have their own business.
Hello, is it possible to contact you directly, sis? I have heard really good things about Serbia but would greatly appreciate speaking with someone who is Black and female and living there. Thanks!
I moved to Boquete, Panama (in the cooler mountains) two years ago. I had a fairly easy transition because of the relocation tour that I took and it's expat community that helped me tremendously. I jokingly, well mostly, tell my USA relatives that I'm white in Panama. Meaning, I feel free here, unlike the USA.
As a Black Canadian woman, my three favorite countries are in Asia. I traveled in Thailand, Vietnam and l love it. I want to relocate to Thailand, and the only reason l haven't moved yet is because of the language barrier. I felt safe, welcomed, and respected in Thailand. I tried to learn the language, but l find Thai is a very challenging language to learn. My first language is French, l used to speak Italian when l was younger.
I took my first solo trip to Panama City, Panama in April of this year. I had a great time, and locals were very friendly and helpful. I do speak some Spanish which was helpful with communicating with the locals. I will definitely be going back again. My 2025 travel plans include either Costa Rica and/or Mexico. Thanks for the video!
Belize is where I want to be. I need to be close enough to get back to my mom quickly since she doesn't want to come with me. And besides it's absolutely beautiful.
Nice! I used to live in Thailand from 2015-2018, I was an English teacher and had many fun projects on the side, but I didn't see myself living there long term. What brought you to Thailand?
I lived in Panama years ago and enjoyed being able to blend in. Decades later I bought property in Costa Rica, and I have been in EVERY Central American country. But as much as I like Central America, and Mexico, I won't live there because of high levels of theft and corrupt police. Where there is high poverty, there is high thievery. I eventually ended up buying in Montenegro, where I am treated well. But, the Balkan region is not for everyone. By the way, I am retired military, and yes we can get medical care in Panama and Costa Rica.
I took the quiz 3 times and the first time it gave me Thailand, but next 2 times it gave me Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and that feels much more feasible to me. Thank you for this information and for the quiz!

Hmm… I didn’t find many people willing to speak English in Panama 🇵🇦 City. Thank goodness for 4yrs of high school español and Google translate! I loved it though and I’m surely thinking about a move there!
I am Panamanian and I can assure you that is not that they are not willing to speak English, is that most of the population in Panama do not speak it. Public schools teach an English so basic that it is of no use to have a simple conversation.
@ I see. We spoke with a guy from Guatemala 🇬🇹 who’d been there for 11 years and he did say something like that. His stance was that based on the history between Panama and America there was a sort of grudge that Panama has which leads to minimal importance in learning/teaching English. According to him more people speak it than are willing to use it but to your point maybe it’s because they don’t know “enough” to bother with trying. Either way, the people were pleasant, friendly, and welcoming. I love it there!
@@straighttalkrealcare Towns like Boquete (Chiriquí province), around 6-7 hours from Panama City and 45 minutes from the city of David or el Valle de Antón (Coclé province) half hour form the city or Penonomé and 2 hours from Panama City, would be the most developed for foreigners used to certain comforts. Both are close to their provinces capitals (already mentioned) with easy access to banks, hospitals and shopping centers that would fulfill most needs for anyone. David also has an airport with multiple daily flights to Panama City.
OK, so I took the quiz twice. The first time was proximity for water so it placed me in Lisbon. The second time I took it, it placed me in Paris. I am looking for options in France. I don’t know if Paris is going to be my place, but I am looking at Provence. Another place I’m looking at just personally are cities in the Netherlands for walkability and healthcare. I love this format for you. I still want to watch when you go ‘Live’ and I still want all that comes with that but this was a fun edited video for you. It’s good look 🎉
The quiz also suggested Johannesburg for me. However, I do not to be paying over $1700/month for a 1 bedroom apartment AND my $1600 mortgage 🤷🏽 I just got the house 😬
So...you should watch my newest video to learn why I SHOULD NOT have included pictures of any of these cities - ua-cam.com/video/PC42d4DEHWg/v-deo.html
I migrated from U.S. to Jamaica a couple years ago, and went to Panama City 🇵🇦 for a scouting trip, flew from Kingston Jamaica 🇯🇲. Super easy flight n landing. Was able to get my iPhone fixed finally. Yes, the lil bit of Spanish I’ve learned did help, rented car and drove with ease to Colon and other parts. The city traffic though 😩 was horrendous. Nuff resources are all about the city for basically whatever you need. Kind of felt like “Miami” in a big city way. I was a bit down 😢 dat cannabis is not “legal” for recreational use. Don’t judge me 😂 but yeah, I could definitely retire there.
Glad you are going to see for yourself. I went in December and it wasn’t for me but so glad I got to see for myself because everyone won’t tell you everything. All the best on your trip. I could not do it because of ongoing gringo pricing once they learn you are American. I also learned Spanish before I went but they talk so fast that I was intimidated. If you want to be with expats, why not stay in the US? Traffic in Panamá is more than scary! Enjoy yourself.
Would love to hear where you went to that was a miss. Personally, I initially went to Colombia but that was a terrible choice given the armed robbery epidemic there. Now in the Philippines and while super safe, I am looking for a different home because its overpopulated, too much pollution, and the infrastructure is much worse than what can be found in South America.
@@kam_abroadWhy didn’t you go to Thailand first, similar climate but way better quality of life stats, and there are small towns that are really pretty and tropical
@@alt4374 Thailand is where I plan to try next. I have been there before but ended up settling in PH because everyone speaks English here. I didn't realize that the infrastructure and overall quality of life would be so drastically different.

Please don't go to Canada. Insanely expensive, much lower wages vs USA, lack of housing, and a depressed population. The USA is better in almost every aspect when compared to Canada. If you are going to leave the USA then go somewhere where your money goes further like Panama, Mexico, Ecuador, etc.
NO to France and Italy. Racist af. Im from Canada born and raised and it's fine being Black here but it's sooooo expensive. Spent $18 on 454g of ground beef yesterday. That's more than the min wage.

Thanks for the information, I was looking into Panama Pensionada visa I'm confused why I would need to hire a lawyer to get the visa? If this is true can someone let me know.
The lawyer is probably to make sure the paperwork is completed correctly and that your charges are ethical and legal. There are lots of scammers that will say they will help you but are really helping themselves.

@@Roshida Can you do a video on your experience there? I know you touched on Asian countries in your intro, but didn't expand on why these may not be good choices for first-time Expats.
@@underconstruction4413My son moved to South Korea a few years ago. The move was similar to what I've seen other expats report. Many Asian nations have various visas, but are generally averse to issuing permanent residence. Having to leave the country and possibly reenter on a renewed visa is not ideal either. SK's requirements were insane! He had to return all the way to his point of origin to renew his visa (not a teacher's visa). I had to house him for 4 months on one of his visa renewals. Eventually he and his girlfriend married and all the extremely expensive requirements shifted. I have found Thailand and Vietnam to be the most accessible, but still requiring much for long term stay. General rule of thumb: if a nation is predominantly homogenous, it may be due to its immigrant policies or visa requirements. If I wanted to be on that side of the planet (and I do eventually), I am seriously considering Mauritius. It's an African nation but its proximity to South Africa, India, and China, means the population are incredibly diverse. It has many wonderful facets that interest me as retiree. As for my business considerations, though, it's not my first choice.
@Rishida There are many English, Black run countries in the Caribbean, these two are ran by Black women: 1. The Cayman Island (their Dollar is stronger than the US Dollar. 2. Barbados, the President and Prime Minister are Black women. The list is extensive and I encourage you to take a look. I have been viewing videos from around the world for a while, (with more attention based on the recent Election results)! Not ruling out anything!
@@theratrace999 Both Barbados and Saint Lucia are expensive to migrate to which makes relocation difficult. Those long term visas come with a hefty price tag.
I absolutely love South Africa and wouldn’t mind living there but I’ve seen lots of xenophobia videos and as a black woman I just don’t want to deal with that so I guess I’m staying put until I find a better Caribbean island that speaks English
Mostly all the Caribbean islands speak english like Nevis, Dominica (not DR), St. Martin, Guadeloupe, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados, Trinidad, Grenada, Jamaica etc. I state that as a fact, as a West Indian myself who just moved back from the US. The thing is, most youtubers concentrate on the nonblack, spanish parts of the Caribbean. I don't know if it's ignorance or something else. I don't support such youtubers.

I’m not interested in living outside of the US but listen to the channel for places to travel to. I’m happy living here in the US I love it, but enjoy travel.
Good for you! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I was thinking about Africa ❤❤❤
Me watching ready to release it all in the US, with passport in hand! Preparing early for an end of year wrap up to chuck deuces. Words have power & I said if a particular person got into office, I’d leave the country. Well this is my trigger & I’m actually happier knowing that I’m manifesting my reality. These knees cannot take another winter.😂 I desire the 4s -sun, sand, simplicity, & the sea. Thank you for this info💙💙💙!
Good luck! I'm starting my divestment journey as well. 👍🏾
Excellent! I chose france part year, i go back and forth, but its not for everybody. I would say there is an energy/intuitive match that needs to happen, so you have to visit.
Energy is what brought me to Mexico City so I agree! 💛
@Lisa ....Im thinking about a back in forth system myself seems more sustainable.
Thank you sis👏🏾👏🏾
OK, so I took the quiz twice. The first time was proximity for water so it placed me in Lisbon. The second time I took it, it placed me in Paris. I am looking for options in France. I don’t know if Paris is going to be my place, but I am looking at Provence. Another place I’m looking at just personally are cities in the Netherlands for walkability and healthcare. I love this format for you. I still want to watch when you go ‘Live’ and I still want all that comes with that but this was a fun edited video for you. It’s good look 🎉
South of France is a vibe! Much better than Paris!
The quiz also suggested Johannesburg for me. However, I do not to be paying over $1700/month for a 1 bedroom apartment AND my $1600 mortgage 🤷🏽 I just got the house 😬
Be nice to show some photos of all these places too!!
So...you should watch my newest video to learn why I SHOULD NOT have included pictures of any of these cities - ua-cam.com/video/PC42d4DEHWg/v-deo.html
Great video.
What about mexicain gangs
Why am I looking up flights to Panama City😂
Girl, it rains a whole, whole bunch in Panama City, and in Panama specifically! It rains too much and I'm saying that as someone from Seattle!😐
Pick the rt country ladies. I’m now heading back to the US in the interim. While awaiting my next visa for a new country
Hello...Where did you land and why are you leaving?
And that’s exactly why I made this video. Familiar infrastructure is such a key part of a soft landing. Thanks for sharing your story.
I love Puerto Vallarta!
Mexico I cannot drink the water any where there :(
I took the quiz and the results were Playa del Carmen Mexico. That surprised me because I have never had a desire to live in Mexico. I am drawn to Asia, but didn’t want to be that far away from the states.
@@blackwonderBWI think everyone would have a different experience.
That's why your results put you in Mexico. Possibly similar weather but closer to US.
Hey Sista Roshida, viewing replay in your future ❤
Yes! I’m an Army veteran. The Department of Veterans Affairs is located in Panama City, Panama. 🇵🇦 So, Panama 🇵🇦 would be an easy transition for BW veterans to get free medical care while living outside the country. It was my first choice also. ♊️ 👩🏽 💫.
Edit: I decided against moving to Panama 🇵🇦 as a veteran because the Quiz I took on Exodus Summit results said that Johannesburg, South Africa 🇿🇦 is a better fit for me. 😏
Before you change your mind on Panamá go check it out. It might be a great fit.
Hi 👋🏽 I am also a veteran, considering the move. I was thinking, Belize at first. Did that quiz go into extensive details on why they thought SA was better for you?? Since I just bought a house in the US (GA,) I guess I do not want to go too far just yet🤷🏽
@ yes, the Quiz went into extensive detail as to why Johannesburg was a much better fit for me.
@@Roshida Ok, will do. 🥹
Veteran here making plans trip to Quintana Roo, Mexico soon.
Visited PV and SJ for over a month to see if I could stay. Went to Panama but for a shorter time. PV was my #1, Costa is #2 at the current moment.
Panama going to my citizenship because my dad is native born. ❤
Major thanks.
Black women are good in Poland with polish handsome men
What about Cali, Columbia or Talum, Mexico
Panama sounds like my kind of town!
It's a country.
Where to live at though ?
How about Ghana?
no..... visit but don't live there ....nice place to do a group tour.
1)New Zealand
2) Ecuador
3) Panama
4) Mexico
5) Canada
6) France
7) italy
If push came to shove..a state with Democratic gov...currently in hateful TX..im native
New Zealand is at the top of my list then Malaysia
NO to France and Italy. Racist af. Im from Canada born and raised and it's fine being Black here but it's sooooo expensive. Spent $18 on 454g of ground beef yesterday. That's more than the min wage.
@@RachelR-ol9tf Agree on Europe. Depends on what you're looking for but all of the EU is still on "I don't see color." If you're ok being invisible, go for it. 😏
Canada (too expensive), New Zealand (boring and too expensive), and Italy (too racist). Odd list.
@cynthymon Thank you so much for the awesome information 😀
I brought my family to Korea 12 years ago
My son loved it there and my teen daughter wants to move there when she graduates. What's been your experience?
@ The people don’t bother you, culture is lively, pleasant interactions, It’s equivalent to life in the US but,no violence, lots of of shopping and eating good,Covid was easier to deal with here than the U.S. no food shortages…
@ let her come get the experience
How was you able to enter S. Korea ?
Isn't S.Korea a communist country ?
What about African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya or even Jamaica in the Caribbeans??
Of all the countries you listed, I think Kenya (specifically Nairobi), is a nice place to visit.
YES!!! I was thinking the VERY SAME THING! What group of people voted in mass for a man that wouldn’t even rent to your black self?!? 🤔
I've been thinking about Japan or Thailand
I really liked Thailand. Japan wasn' for me, but I was last there 20 years ago.
Never go where others say is great, no 2 ppl would love the same thing equally
I am surprised that the Black run English speaking countries of the Caribbean aren't on your list!
Which places did you have in mind as easy landing places?
@Rishida
There are many English, Black run countries in the Caribbean, these two are ran by Black women:
@@RoshidaBarbados, St. Lucia ...
@@lexaneli St Lucia?
@@theratrace999 Both Barbados and Saint Lucia are expensive to migrate to which makes relocation difficult. Those long term visas come with a hefty price tag.
Does monthly rental income count? Or a yearly bank deposit if $12,000
I absolutely love South Africa and wouldn’t mind living there but I’ve seen lots of xenophobia videos and as a black woman I just don’t want to deal with that so I guess I’m staying put until I find a better Caribbean island that speaks English
@ lol ok St Lucia just looks peaceful I will visit there soon
yay
❤Yes, we veterans can get health benefits and keep our monthly compensation, wherever we go in the world 💪🏽
Hopefully this new administration doesn’t cut it!
It's a community of 20,001, now! 👋
Do these cities have swarms of mosquitoes? I can't tolerate mosquitoes
😂 As soon as I saw the visuals of lush green forests and mystical rivers/swamps, all I could think about was mosquitoes other flying bugs and creepy crawlies😂
