Locality Review: Shahdara, Delhi

Shahdara is one of the oldest inhabited areas of Delhi. It is also one of the administrative and revenue districts in the city, which has many localities and sub-localities. In terms of real estate, the locality gained prominence in 2002 after the inception of Red Line of Delhi Metro.
The cluster of Shahdara and Yamuna Vihar enjoys good connectivity to the commercial hubs of Shastri Nagar, ITO and Connaught Place. Sahibabad Industrial Area and Wazirpur Industrial Area are also nearby.
Due to good road and metro connectivity, business centres in the city and important commercial/IT parks in Noidaare also conveniently accessible.
Secondary School, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College and Shyam Lal College. Delhi University’s North Campus is also located within 10km. VO: Hospitals like Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital are located within 6 km.
While there are no shopping malls within the cluster, it enjoys proximity to several markets, including Chhota Bazaar, Bada Bazaar, Friday Market, Bhajanpura Main Market, Babarpur Road Bazaar and Rohtash Nagar Market.
Kamala Nagar market, a popular shopping destination among youngsters, is about 10 km from the cluster.
