The editing and writing were executed perfectly- the summary was succinct but still managed to capture the tone, humor, ridiculousness, abd brilliance, with perfectly curated and blended clips from this game. There are not enough videos these days with this kind of care and attention to detail. Thanks for making it- this game was such a big deal for me when it first released, and I wanted a recap before playing Dreamfall Chapters.

Overall, the game was a success (but it took some time because they needed to find publishers all around the world). Considering the sales figures and the female protagonist, at that time, it must have been something of a big deal since it drew a lot of female audiences to play the game.
Apart from Chapters (which I haven't played yet) Dreamfall and Dreamfall The Longest Journey are one of my favorite games ever. A modern remake in terms of the graphics would be awesome :D
Well, BioShock and The Longest Journey are very different concepts. Yes, there are underwater creatures in The Longest Journey, but they are not as advanced as in BioShock. So, maybe 2K Games got an inspiration from The Longest Journey, but they made a completely different Game with another amazing story. I might do another Game Summary of the BioShock Series, if enough people are interested.

I actually love this about the game. This crazy entangled and quite uncommon story... I feel like Dreamfall Chapters fell a bit short of that (even compared to Dreamfall: TLJ)

'TLJ' has it's flaws. Some of those are due to the limits of the technology restricting story telling. Some are due to the game being episodic. But there are story telling flaws. Cortez's sudden appearance when April is dodging the escaped mutant (which is itself a very random thing to happen) is one. How did he escape? At first I thought is was intended to be a deliberate attempt to place April in danger and have a false, or brainwashed, Cortez appear to manipulate her. The very obvious foreshadowing of who the new guardian would be is another. It's an impressive game that leaves a lasting impression, but it does stumble at times.
Such an amazing game. Such a shame they ruined the franchise with all the nonsense of it was all a dream bla bla. One of my favorite games of all time forever attached to that sequel...

Well, BioShock and The Longest Journey are very different concepts. Yes, there are underwater creatures in The Longest Journey, but they are not as advanced as in BioShock.
