I respect Mark and what he has to say but the way he talks about QBs and throws out all sorts of stats then hearing how he talks about a wide receiver... he must feel a certain way about wide receivers.

Looking at the schedule I see a 5-12 season for the Broncs.

Wilson will never take advantage of the middle of the field or allow plays there to develop because he's too short to see the middle of the filed
Don't think it's the height. Brees made those throws and they're about the same height. I think he's not confident in making those throws.
Weeks 5 and 8 are the only wins on the schedule so good luck running it back with Bo Nix and Sean Payton with a Sanders entering the draft from in state

Schlereth NAILED it. Wilson sucks at throwing in the center of the field. Had to watch it in denver. Maybe he could in Seattle, but he can’t now.
Russ is on a VERy short leash if he's stinking, Fields will be starting in a month or so into the season
The analysis of Wilson ... it's pretty clear Schlereth didn't watch much that entire season Russ played on a bum knee and was limited to being a pocket passer ... and did it with a high level of productivity and completion %. And at his age, he isn't playing a young Elway game, obviously. That analysis I pretty much toss straight into the shredder as unhelpful in predicting 2024.
He hates Russ. Period.

@@AmericanSCPO It’s not just Mahomes. KC has Andy Reid, probably the best head coach in the NFL and Steve Spagnola one of the best defensive coaches in the NFL. Those are two great coaches running KC’s offense and defense. Both Reid and Spagnola are locked into their jobs until they retire. Also, Jim Harbaugh is now coaching the Chargers and he is going to completely change the culture of that team. Harbaugh will immediately make the Chargers a tougher more competitive team.

Russ will start this season. If he falters BIG TIME, then Justin Fields will get the call and will probably shine.
Next season (‘25) is going to be extremely interesting - does Russ play well enough this season to get past the first round of the playoffs and force the Rooney’s to break the bank for an aging QB?
Or is he “average” - not great, but good enough to keep Justin Fields off the field?

You can look at it as Pittsburgh is in an awesome QB position, or are they screwed either way, having two QB’s that will both require a huge bag that neither has truly earned??

Bo Nix is going to fall flat on his face and I’ll be here for it all when Denver self emulates n melts down and the pink slips start flying. It’s hard to get real objective unbiased analysis out of Denver because guys like Mark (who’s just a homer) and esp Colin Cowherd who flat lies n tells fairy tales to build Denver up for his Bestie Sean Payton in hopes he stays in Sean’s inner circle!! Nix was the 6th pick for a reason, there’s a lot he struggles with and the vast majority of his tape at OR Nix clearly has the better team most Games playing SOFT WEAK Defenses and he cannot handle real pressure n when you start hitting him moving him off his spot his accuracy falls off a cliff. His tape is littered with mistakes and lastly Nix isn’t going to KC or say Dallas he’s going to a bottom feeder with the worst roster in football playing behind a suspect bad OL, bad suspect running game and he doesn’t have many weapons at all outside his college mate 4th rd pick WR Troy Franklin, Courtland Sutton is a beast but he’s not a 1. Mimms jr has been a bust. Signed an average WR in Josh Reynolds who at best avg. with everything perfect around him in DET he manages 600yds4TDs on lesser teams he’s really struggled so who knows how much he helps.
And lastly DEN has a bust at TE Greg Dulcich whom they’re hoping finally produces commiserate to his talent level. Dulcich could surprise and they signed a decent solid receiving TE n stud blocking TE in 6”6 Adam Trautman.
You look at their weapons with an average run game led behind Williams and I find it hard to believe that Bo Nix with his skill set or lack there of can show he’s an top 10 QB HES FAR FROM IT. , I actually really believe that like Demented Old Joe Mr. Bo Nix will struggle this next year. Denver will be back in the QB Game this time next year!!!
How do people not get by now that how a guy looks in preseason is less than meaningless? I'm a Steeler fan, and you know who looked unstoppable last preseason? Kenny Pickett. Teams do not game plan at all in preseason. Once they do,weak QB's look like, well, the weak QB's that they are.
@@tobiasfunke2011 Exactly. I remember Malik Willis and the Browns QB DTR all looking like preseason all stars only to fall on their face come the regular season. Bo Nix is going to be one of them he’s really going to struggle with pressure n the different looks he will see in the NFL, Cowherd and Schlerth have been cheerleading for their BF Payton but sooner than later Nix has to try and cash these checks their mouths are writing and he’s going to fail big time. Nothing special about Nixs game.
And I’d hope he’s look competent in the preseason, he was in college FB for a decade playing 161 (61 in reality) games and turns 40 next month I’d hope he look competent again vanilla looks as the 12th pick in the draft. He was a desperation pick though and I’m just not buying what Denver is selling with that dude
