    I love this flower pattern, and have made several. It looks so nice on a child's hat. I like to use baby weight or sports weight yarn for a delicate flower look.

      Tina Pallone Hi there; What do you mean when you say that you flipped the center flowers through to the back? All in all wouldn't that still be the same? Could you explain how you did that or shoot me a pic of what one looks like? I'd love and appreciate it. I think these would look super cute doing the colors like Pansies. Or using this yarn with black as the last row for drama on small bedroom pillows for somebody. I'm no longer married. Thanks.

    Brittany; you are an Angel. If I used a 2.75 mm hook and baby weight yarn, how small could I manage to get this flower to be. I really like this style. Also, would adding a picot stitch instead of the (chain 2) be too much? Or maybe (ch1, sl st, ch1) to get more emphasis on that point more readily or more effectively.

    • @bhookedcrochet
      @bhookedcrochet  9 років тому +1

      I bet with that gauge you could decrease the size by at least half. I think either variation of the point you mentioned would work out beautifully. I'd love to see your flower when you're done!

    Thank you so much for the tutorial.
    However, I'm getting confused from around 8:34 minutes of the tutorial - you rotated the piece, then you appeared to have rotated it back to its original state so it's not quite clear what side the next set of stitches are being applied; so I'm therefore now confused about the reasoning for the rotation in the first instance, if indeed those next set of stitches are being applied to the side where the one single and five double sets of stitches were made.
    I hope I make sense? :) I thank you in advance for your response.

    I usually hold the needle like a pencil and my stitch gets tighter. Does this interfere with the size of the flower? I am Brazilian, but I understand English well because I started studying at 12 and I am 68 years old now. Forty-two years of crochet that I learned on my own.

    • @bhookedcrochet
      @bhookedcrochet  9 років тому +1

      Hello! I would recommend binding off after completing round 3 and binding on your new color for rounds 4 and 5. this will make the just the outer petals a different color from the center.

    The color of yarn you chose. Makes it very difficult to see what you are doing . I've been crocheting for 6 years and I'm only saying this. To help you be aware of the problem it may cause for new beginners
    As far as being able to follow your direction ( if you were using a different color yarn you did a good job)
