I would say its "wonky" or "uncommon" but definitely not stupid! Your level of dedication to detailing and thinking outside the box is insane! You deserve WAY more than 7K subs! Keep on going dude!

Mate, what you are achieving now, with minimal variety in assets is nothing short of incredible. Custom assets cannot come quickly enough, the potential will explode upon the addition of custom assets. (and you wont need to pretend your cows are lions anymore haha - love it). The question will be then, what is the breakpoint for trees/props etc for performance.
I’m glad my cows as lions thing worked ok. I was a little concerned people may dislike that haha, but best we’ve got right now I think. I can’t wait for custom assets and really glad you’re enjoying the builds 🙌
Now then, I knew about the removing things from prefabs but always assumed that was just in the Editor... and that it only affects the instance and not the template... nice find! That "horse" racetrack though? Absolutely great for making a Speedway track I reckon!

Me myself still did not dive into the game as I just a normal gameplayer so I really rely on the vanilla and their functionality rather than customisation. However, looking at builders like you does give me hope that this game does has space for big and better improvement.

absolutely had! i already found a workaround to rotate building upgrades when placing them on their own but it was a bit more clunky than yours. And the billboards with company logos through findstuff was news to me as well. stayed awake 1 hour past my bed time yesterday to check them all out. also found two ads for bicycle shops, so i cried myself to sleep afterwards@@sully_skylines
Before clicking this video, i never thought i would learn this much after having used so many mods and tricks with the developer mode. You deserve way more subscribers! Too bad you can't remove things like fences from assets yet, some of them really bother me. But, with these idea's, you could make the trainstation smaller by deleting the track on the outside and replacing it with a road! Great idea since it's a bit boring having only 1 type of station with always 3 double tracks.
I think the trick to use the extensions of the buildings and removing things from assets was my favourite part! Been trying to figure that out unsuccessfully 😅 I can easily use my imagination and this was so good, so much fun!! 💜💜
I have so much respect for this, amazing, truly inspirational work! Here i am struggling to make a square. Ive gotta pick a style ive been struggling between what the city needs and what i want is tough i get to about 20000 population and decide i hate everything and start over
I saw that a few months ago, when I was detailing on top of the building some props returned. But since then I’ve used this technique in two separate builds and haven’t seen them return on either and both over quite a long period of time.
When using the Dev Mode to plop assets you can press b twice (open/close dozer) to randomly change the asset generation instead of plopping a bunch in order to get the correct color.
Great video, seriously! One question I had though, that kinda ruined my last build, how do you make the invisible paths have these blue and green outlines? I don’t get these and it makes it really hard to work with.
just outta curiosity, does that dev mode tool for deleting props in assets work for hedges? I know from when I was playing around with the asset editor that the hedges work more like networks on the assets
Very nice !! Can you make a country road with grass in the middle ? for example a road leading to a big mansion or a big ranch like you can see for example in the film forest gump with trees?
I haven’t used this mod sorry. Also do you mean to raise assets off the ground? If so, then that’s not possible. Try getting in touch with the modder and ask?

@Infrastructurist please use the dev mod trick of "BOB"ing the assets. Also use upgrade buildings like libraries on their own.

Try better bulldozer mod, it has option to see the invisible paths. Not sure if that’s the fix but it might help 👍
