That is absolutely the most GORGEOUS 4" scale Burrell I have ever laid eyes upon. That is mechanical artwork. The fit and finish, the color and pin-stripping is stunning, the mirror polish of all the brass and copper, the vulcanized tyres, the head lamps, the gauge glass guard, the water lifter, the list goes on! She runs like a watch, timing is spot on, the only mechanical noise heard is the clacks in the pump, no knocks or gear whine, just smooth cruising. What a dream machine!

Thanks for that! Very sadly this engine was destroyed in a fire only about a year after we delivered her to her new owners! we will definitely be using the same livery on another traction engine in the future though as we thought it worked very well too! :)

@@thesteamworkshop4970 OH MY GOD! How Tragic!!! Can nothing be done to restore her again or is she too far gone to be saved???? That has to be one of the most awful feelings in the world, my sympathies go out to her owners! Not only losing their home, as if that wasn't bad enough, but also this magnificent model 😭. I have actually been seriously looking for a 4" scale Burrell that would be done up to this standard. I know they are not cheap, and I am saving up diligently. I live in the US and I know an engine of this caliber has to be around the £15,000 range if I'm not mistaken. My only modifications that I would make to an engine like that is the use of copper tubes in the boiler rather than Steel, two ball-valve style blowdowns at the foundation ring (one each side), and a plug at the top of the boiler barrel that I could use not only for adding feedwater treatment through before steaming, but also for removing moisture after blowing down to let the residual heat left in the boiler drive it out so she doesn't rust internally when sitting idle. I'd prefer only to have to remove that handhole cover under the connecting rod for doing boiler washes! Lol. Last thing would be using one of the injectors from a bloke called the "Eccentric Engineer". His injectors are nothing short of astonishing in their capabilities and reliability. If you guys ever get this poor soul back in the shop to be restored again if she's still saveable, or another good 4" Burrell that can be done up like this, please let me know!! Feel free to check out my UA-cam channel to see the Engines in my collection. I have a 3.5" gauge LNWR Claughton believed by many to have been built by Bassett Lowke which I believe may catch your interest. I don't want to sell it though! Lol.

I know this video was posted a while ago but don't suppose you can remember what colour paint that is can you? It looks very nice compared to the more common green engines I see.
