I saw more promise than disappointment. This game was actually a great learning experience for the players and coaches. There is definitely more positive to build on.

Finally somebody said it. And i get it after a loss like that nobody wants to talk about how "good" the team is but i actually felt relieved on how much better the D is and relieved that the offense still has plenty of elite potential. Now the injuries have to calm down because it could go sideways fast but that's the case for every team. Very slim margin for error but i feel like they have the players and coaches to rebound and have a good season

The worst thing about this loss was being the first game of the year and losing AGAIN, especially while other teams are winning cupcake games 70-0. Would be a lot different if it hadn’t happened on opening week

Anyone that keeps up with lsu already knew the secondary was still far behind in abilities. D line was sus but they seemed to perform 5x better than last year.
Is this defense slightly improved in certain areas, sure but overall this team defensively gave up nearly 500 yards to a first year starter whilst the Offense won time of possession by 6 minutes, essentially keep them for giving up far more points and yards. This secondary is still terrible particularly the safety’s and the star position. Bo Davis did an outstanding job with this defensive line. I never would have thought that Savion Jones would like a formidable edge rusher, still whoever thinks Sage Ryan and Greg Penn are stupid. Like why is Womack and Weeks not starting? What TF else do you need to see.

There were encouraging takeaways, and like 5 coin flip plays that went USC’s way… but ultimately Results are all that matters. A loss is a loss.

Nuss will throw for over 1400 years in Sepetember! We'll have sacks, forced fumbles, INTs, and it'll be kill the cupcakes. But I agree, we're not a championship team. I'm also ok with that I didn't think so before we started the season. We'll win 1/4 of the challenges on the schedule and go into a bowl game hoping to get BK his 10th win.

Imagine if LSU got just two of the potential turnovers that they could have gotten. LSU probably would win by 14. But sometime you don’t get the breaks.

LSU Dline and LBs accounted for multiple sacks, a couple of deflected passes and 7 TFLs. They held the mighty trojans to under 100 yards rushing with a 3.0 YPC.
