It’s unlikely dad would hurt the cubs. There’s a very good chance these babies are his. If he ruled the pride with other males they’d all have a chance at being the father of the cubs in the pride. They’d all get breeding rights and probably all mate with the females while they were in season; thus a litter of cubs could have two or more fathers. A lioness might also stray and mate with a male that’s not her pride’s leader (but also with her pride mate too). So anyway you look at it, it’s not a good choice for the pride male to kill or injure any cubs in his pride since he could have fathered one or all. He may have to put up with cheekiness from the kids but it’s a sacrifice he’ll just have to endure wether he enjoys it or not. 😆
KAIJU MECHA true! It really is interesting ow lion prides work. Female lions form the core of the pride, and most experts actually define a pride more by the females in it, rather the male, (who some people might incorrectly see as the “owner” of it). In truth, male lions fight for the right to mate, the winning lion earning the prize of being the pride’s main adult male! (There’s rarely more than one.) The reason nature instils this instinct in male lions is because the strongest and healthiest lion will most likely win these fights. And thus, his cubs will be stronger and healthier than the cubs of the male who lost. This is how nature strengthens the gene pool. The sad part of this phenomenon, however, is that the winning male must then kill the weaker male’s cubs if he already had any, so he can replace them with his own. The female lions don’t fight among themselves to strengthen the gene pool in this way, because in nature, a female is often “less disposable.” You see, being pregnant and giving birth is a much longer and riskier process them giving sperm, so nature won’t often waste a single female. Which is why only SOME species have the females fight over the rights to breed. (Also a male can breed with several females at once, but not the other way around.) Anyway, the male lion needs to conserve energy for whenever a rival male might arrive to take his place, so he will usually not hunt as often as the females. He will, however, eat first. Cats will be cats- even big cats in the wild will spit and snarl at each other over food just like house cats do, and whoever’s the biggest will be able to protect his share of the food! (Male lions can be almost twice as big as the females!) Something that might surprise people is how often lionesses will just let a new male lion kill their cubs when he enters the pride. Some experts believe this to be another instinctive part of the process, allowing the process of strengthening the gene pool to continue.... but there are exceptions. There are cases where the females just gang up on the new male and chase him away, until the cubs are big enough to no longer be killed. But I guess in that case, the gene pool is still kept strong, because those females must be healthy and fit to chase the male away! Therefore, those girls’ cubs will probably be healthy and strong as well. I find this stuff interesting because we humans have a tendency to stereotype, and assume nature will function under our own CULTURAL ideas, like gender-roles and dominance. (dominance behaviours in nature are usually much different than the average person expects them to be.) Hell, I used to be pretty misinformed before seeking out better information myself. Lions are individuals so you'd find different personality for males and females. But yes, usually fathers are less playful than the mothers. That said, it's not hard to find videos of male lions grooming, headbutting or sleeping side by side with his children and sometimes they even engage in playful wrestling and chasing. And they often let the cubs eat with them, a privilege that females only get when the prey is very big. But remember: as much as they love them, one day they'll have to cast them out, at least their sons.
Masticatious if the female loins didn’t have any male to protect them then their cubs will be killed male loins as cubs are cast out as adults to have to learn to survive and earn to be a leader of pride and usually a male loins life is very slim if they don’t have what it takes to find a pride and pass their genes while female loins are not casted out and rely on males to defend them Also both mothers and fathers are both important for society fathers help children to be disciplined and take responsibility if it hadn’t been for men in the Stone Age to protect their families children and wives and to creat civilisation neither of us would even have phones internet or even use UA-cam comment section which is thanks to men making it Also note this without women men would never build civilisation because of women’s nature of picking which males will help give their offspring better genes and help them survive so be grateful for what men over the centuries have done both mothers and fathers are very important and are equal in value Men and women are very unique thanks to their differences with many gifts if not they would never complement each other

God created them as a symbol for Christ. He is” the Lion of the tribe of Judah”. He is ”King of Kings and Lord of Lord's” ....." A roaring Lion seeking whom he may devour" refers to the Devil. The Bible refers alot to nature.
at the end, it's so cute and that's the sweetest dad and daughter relationship i ever seen
2:03 is one of the cutest moments in world history!!
"look at the stars, the great king from the past will look down on us from those stars"
Mufasa
"and they also watch you masturbate."
Mufasa.

Cub: “... Hi, dad!”

Dad face: your profile pic

@@ishavedoffallmyhair That’s darwin lol
So adorable! Such cute noises they make!
The narrator is AMAZING!!!
Sir David Attenbourgh is one of a kind
Ofc, He's Sir David Attenborough.
Could watch them for hours, so cute.
That slow motion shot of the mother carrying the cub is amazing 👏
Lions are so gorgeous! I never get tired of admiring them!
Absolutely. :) the best animals in the World
Its good to be the 👑 king. I know the feeling. Everytime I walk into a room, all eyes on me; the King. (yes I'm a Leo, here me RAAWWRRRR) 😛
Including Cerci...or Tywin...
Alessandro narom cringe
Absolutely beautiful! The cubs are perfect and it's so sweet to see the care of the parents for their babies! They are better than people! 😭🥰
Concordo plenamente !
No reino deles existem tudo aquilo que precisamos , que não existe no nosso mundo.
It's so cute how they get all cuddly with each other❤️
They show more love ❤️ than humans. They deserve a ❤❤❤❤better world 🌎
Who's watching this after watching live action movie of Lion King? 😅

🖐🖐🖐
Hell yeah
Me!!!!
Paul Plecis I’m so glad I found people who did the same as me 😂
2:03 I wonder what they’re saying 🤔
Ikr
The father must be talking about when we die, we turn into the grass.
Cub : Father, I assumed you'd be taller......
They are planning to start human extinction
So when you die..........I get to inherit your investments, right ?🤔🤔🤔
The roar of baby cubs is just so cute
Oh these tiny Simbas are so Adorable.
This showed up in my recommendations just after I watched the new lion king trailer
same HAHA
Aman M S coincidence? i think not
What an amazing voice Sir David has, truly gifted Legend himself
Would mind if Ozzy Man inherited his job though
The cub having a snuggle next to the dad was so cute!!
If I die before i could hug and cuddle every single big cat in this planet then my soul would never rest in peace I swear
Don't care what people saying about new Lion king , remake took me back to my childhood. And the visuals deserve Oscar
I agree. It's still good
Автандил Юсубов Remake made me buy the original.
Автандил Юсубов I agree! I like both versions 😊
Right. People are so picky. It’s live action, of course they’re not going to make them have facial expressions. It was good either way and I enjoyed it.
@@isabelsaucedo8627 What are you talking about? This is cgi. Not live action. Meaning they can make them as lively as they want.
It would have been more interesting if it was a silent film just working with the characters that way.
God bless all the lions and other big cats...and so is the domestic cats...love love love..😊😊😊
😍😍😍😍
Yess, I love all kitties, wild big cats or domestic 🐈🐾😍
That ending scene was adorable omg
BEAUTIFUL, I love that....❤
Such a beautiful bond
Our Elohim is great, such an amazing artist.
I don't know why but I am fucking shocked by how realistic Lion King animation looked, including the white eyeliners and the muscles WOWEEEZ
We are so lucky to have these creatures on our planet. They are incredible.
why aren't these type of things continuously on discovery today?
nigrun50 Because shit shows are giving Discovery fat stacks of $$$ to air their show.
Rome The history channel is also useless. When do they ever air documentaries. Almost never. They sure love pawn shop though.
what the hell is your problem
+nigrun50 yep, and remember when animal planet was all about animals? psssh, no channel is the same any more. even history and H2 are crap now. this reminds me of 'big cat diaries' though, which comes on animal planet at like 5-6am. I wanna see more mini-docs and survival shows. show me a world that we've disconnected from. remind me of real life struggles... THAT is what I want to see
zzzzImTired u have to pay big dollars for that 🤑
A pride of gorgeous lions in the sun and David Attenborough narrating... it doesn't get any better than this.
My heart can’t take any more of this cuteness!!!
omg I just wanna pick it up and cuddle it they are so beautiful
lion moms are the best moms so patient just like my mom
I love the picture of the baby laying with dad soo cute :)
У этих малых пузырей энергии много на беготню.
