I remember that amp being one of the best I've ever owned. I also remember it being able to push a set of W7's pretty decently as well.
I remember 20 years ago I was given an Audio Gods amp for free which I used to power 2 Kicker 12's. It would get hot as hell but never let me down. After that I went to a Orion amp and wow what a difference.
I'm real late. You probably heard of Gravity from a German company called Xetec they made a line called Gravity series. I had one of there 4 channels, it was a beast to only be 65 WRMS.
I wouldn't doubt even the cheapest of a true digital amp up to about 500w, but 1ohm stable is still impressive. My Rockford R500X1D came with a 631w benchmark for the same price off Amazon though, and doesn't rely on fuses. Blew an old Orion and it just blinked a red light. Drop under 10v and it just blinks a red light. Smart little box.
that's why I don't under estimate anything unless I have tried it be for. this happens all the time with electronics a lot of people talk shit about amps they have never used like this amp for example its decent. but I would add fans to keep it cool for long-jeverdy
I have a Phoenix Gold 600.1 and for 1 sa 12 d4 i did 136db at 2 ohm and my sub was getting 200 rms i mow have 2 sa 12 d4 ran at 1ohm and its loud for only 300 each sub
The gravity could be alot like boss amps. Even if it says they can handle 1ohm...maybe not? Could explain the fuse popping. But hey! They're website page says it does.
Bryan Willis the Gravity amp is WAY better than the Boss. So what it blew 25 amp fuses. I put 30a back in which isn't that much bigger. It's not like i replaced 10 amp fuses with 30...it was pretty close. This thing handled 1 ohm just fine. The certified test is no joke it really tortures the amp.
Great videos, the best all the time, but considering the fact that the Amp blows 25 amp fuses, and you recommend not going higher, doesn't that make the Amp unusable in a sense?

What do you think of Arc Audio Amplifiers? I have two Arc audio class D mono block 1000.1 amps in my car. They are pretty small but they sure pack A punch. They don't get warm either. there pushing three Polk audio 12's. Yes I know, not that impressive. They sound pretty good though. Sure would be cool to see an arc amp on your Dyno though. Well have A good one man.
MazdaBass971 don't be so quick to judge the size. I also tested a RF T500.1br amp and it's 3" shorter than my size 9 1/2 Jordan Flip-Flop and about the same width.....but ya this amp did surprise me :D
meade916 Yeah man Mix a Lot was that dude. Can't front though. I had a flea market system in my 1st car back in 96. Blaupunkt head unit, Pyramid amp and some Urban subs. All the kid could afford with a part time McDonald's check. Keep doing your thing.

Can you recommend a mechless head unit that has 3 rca f,r,sw, blutooth, USB , aux and clean output from the rca at full volume (kids tend to jump in the car and crank it full up) my current head unit distorts at rougly 35/50 running of the human amp so before I hook up my new speakers and dedicated amp I want a clean head unit.

I'm not sure if Steve will reply but I'm also asking other UA-camrs, I have a 400w Sundown E-12 @500w. I want to buy a 600w SA-8 and maybe push equal or a little more power. Would it hit harder ? Or will it be inferior because of size difference?
+bryce hamilton pioneer 10" are great. i highly recommend looking for those, especially look for the old SPL one's since the new one's are'nt as good in power handling. great RMS power and relatively cheap
bryce hamilton A cheap active sub might be a good place to start, the built in amps are generally under powered but for something you can just hook up and go with they are fine.

I'd like to see you re-run the tests on 25A fuses. It's possible the fuses that came with the amp were junk fuses, or damaged from shipping.

Th3uNn3rV3d Thats possible. Harbor freight fuse are bad and are known to have problems. The amp could have come with similar sketchy fuses.

Usually at 14 volts. It drops sometimes when the amps pull a lot but you can see what it's at on the amp dunno towards the right the lcd.
