In the early 2000's Invicta did also offer a Speedway quartz chronograph version with same 9211 designation but using the older Miyota OS20 movement. That is more like the Rolex Daytona with the large second hand that does not move unless the top pushbutton is depressed.
If Invicta were to move from the VD53 movement to the Tachymeter appropriate VK63 movement the price would probably double. Can still use the Tachymeter by starting timing when running second hand hits 12.
why have a watch you truly can't use because it is not a true Chronograph/tachymeter. yet it has the elements of a true chronograph but does not even work that way. why does invicta put a tachymeter scale around the bezel when you can't use it?
There are soo many different styles of Daytona's! They're very solid and well built watches,however I've found them impossible to turn over and believe me,I've tried! The uneducated public Hates Invicta! I've tried to consolidate my collection! I'd lose a ton of money!
It's a real looker, no doubt about it! INVICTA certainly know how to put together a really good quality watch. In terms of value, at a price point that's extremely tough to beat.
I think that if as a company Invicta decided to stop making up absurd MSRP's and shrunk it's catalog down in both size of cases and size of collections, they would be much more reputable.

Like you, I get just as much of a kick out of the cheap stuff as the expensive stuff. I've had a new Orient Kano on my wrist for the last week while 5 figure watches sit in the box waiting.

Have you tested the water resistance? At least in a pool, beach, or lake?

Probably because it looks like a Daytona that way and not everyone actually uses all the functions. It's the look...
Date window and a rotating bezel. I never use a chrono. I like using a rotating bezel it's so easy and you can't mess that up.
Just ordered the stainless one.great watches also have 2 pro divers.

Would a standard curved oyster bracelet that fits on a Daytona fit perfectly on this watch aswell? Is the Invicta case based on the Daytona case?
