    I tried the Beauty Blender for foundation and felt like it soaked up too much product. Feeling disappointed, I threw it out, but then I purchased a Real Techniques Makeup Blender after watching a UA-camr who used it for concealer. I tried that (I use the sponge dry), and I LOVE it for concealer! I will never use a brush or my finger for concealer ever again! It makes the concealer melt into your skin, and then I dip the sponge into setting powder and it gives me such a flawless look when I pat it over the concealer. I only wet the sponge when I wash it for sanitary purposes.

  • @starrymelissa

    Jen, try using the beauty blender dry ! ( wash it every few days to keep clean then let dry again before use ) .I never wet my blender before use and push in a moderate amount of foundation at a time till desired coverage. It’ll give you much fuller , flawless coverage this way. I only wet it if I want a barely there bb cream look. ( like you pointed out it is so darn light with that technique lol ) - btw, Hearing that water bowl lapped up is the most adorable music to the ears ever ! xo Yaay Spring is here ! Love your hyacinth flowers 💐💐💐

    I do my hair toooo...I get the Loreal Beach Blonde in Beige blonde.....i use the Hask Blue shampoo and conditioner it has chamomile and good ingredients...it controls my brass great and keeps my blonde fresh and vibrant....and its sooo cheap i get it at Walmart

    What I would do, but I’m not licensed either, I would color the top down through the brassy band. Then apply a couple of highlights using a balayage technique to break it up, just on the top portion. But don’t leave it on too long. It won’t be as noticeable with dimension. Purple shampoo only does so much.

    Hi Jen! I totally agree regarding the beauty blender... I just use it for concealer. I think that if your way works for you better, stick with it. Also, I don't use the real one, I tried once and I think its too much $ for what you get. The real techniques brand is a great dup that is what I use and I get a 4 pack at Marshall's. Love seeing the boys and I am following you on insta now too! NJ weather is finally looking up here, love the early spring, happy Easter!

    I know a lot of people put the foundation right on the blender, but I found it works better for me if I dot the foundation on my face than bounce the sponge lightly to blend it all in. It takes longer than a brush and it does seem to be more work, but I get a pretty good finish that way and the foundation isn't all wiped away. Not a perfect skinned girl here, I need to cover the flaws. lol

    Jen, I make short vlogs from my phone or create compilations using iPhone editing tools and upload them right to thr YT app. It's super easy and not techie in any way. It's neat because you can even add graphis and music if you want. I make mine private and then share the links with my family. Try that!

    I have never used the beauty blender.. but i have used the real techniques beauty sponge. It's way cheaper! I know some mistake people make is they rub with the blender instead of pouncing it. You're not crazy though.. it will shear out your coverage. You DO have to use a little more foundation than with a brush. Are you being sure to wringe out the sponge after wetting it? Im sure you are. I love my sponge but I also don't wear full coverage foundation so i dont have to worry about that part.

    • @BlackLabLover9

    You are not alone in your dislike of the beauty blender. I don't like any cosmetic sponges for exactly the reason you stated, it sheers out my coverage and I need all the coverage I can get. Besides, I feel like I am losing a lot of product on the sponge.
    I color my own hair, too. I cannot tolerate chemical haircolor so I use henna. Henna has to be left on the hair for at least an hour so I have to plan when I am going to color.

    • @BlackLabLover9
      @BlackLabLover9  5 років тому

    I LOVE the Too Faced Born this Way foundation, but I feel like it doesn’t work well with the Beauty Blender. I think some foundations just work better with a brush depending on skin type maybe. I have a love/hate relationship with my Beauty Blender! LOL!

    I don't have the Beauty blender. I have the Real Technique one. I don't like the coverage either. Sometimes if I use a heavy concealer in an area, I use to blend it. But as an everyday foundation application- nope, not for me.
