Something thats really overlooked from this year. Reedy and Stew are the only riders to win all 3 Anaheims, but Chad remains the only rider EVER to win every California race making him the king of Cali like they said. Noones done it since, badass thts huge!

Reed Won because Reed was there. Being durable is just as important as being fast. The average fan completely doesn't understand making every gate drop.

Say what you want about Reed not beating Stewart in a full season... this season Reed was very fast and who knows how it would have played out. Stewart and Reed were also spread by less than 3 points? or 5 points? in 2009. Courtesy of Kyle Chisholm.
Same with 06, top 3 were within 5 points of eachother. In 03 Reed won half the rounds and Ricky won the other half, one crash while pushing too hard cost him the title where he had the win in the bag if he wouldnt of pushed so hard in the corners. He's lost 3 series by 5 points or less. Also before breaking his leg and tearing his knee in (2012?) on his own team riding a Honda, he was winning races and had the Red plate, he was about to catch RV in that race before going down and getting hung up in the bike while going ass end over tea kettle. Whether or not he would of went on to win the title no one knows, but he very well could of that year. He was legit, you dont luck into over 40 race wins..he could of won 4 or more outdoor titles as well if he didn't have RC to deal with... RC won 10/10 outdoor titles, 2 being perfect seasons with 05 winning every overall but lost 2 motos from crashes...No one was close to beating him for a outdoor title. From 05-07 James only won 3 overalls against Ricky, all 3 times ricky threw it away while checking out. Only guys to ever straight up beat him without crashing were Windham and Tortelli when he was on a Honda.. Reed had the misfortune of racing 2 of the best the sport has ever seen, at the same time. Then followed right after by the Ryan's winning 8 straight titles combined..

It's a dangerous sport. Injuries happen. It's not Reed's fault Carmichael needed surgery and Stewart can't stay healthy.

Vizor at this time the red plate was given to the former champion, instead of the number 1 like it is now
Because at their time the red plate signified the previous season champion. After this season they made the number 1 mandatory to be run by the champion, it wasn’t till around 2012 or 13 that the points leader ran the red plate.

No one reveals their injuries or severity. His knee was popping out of place during the races and had to be drained in between practices, heat races, and after the main and couldnt ride during the week. Try riding without an ACL, especially in supercross. He came back and went undefeated outdoors. Im not even much of a fan, but You sound nuttier than rat shit in a pistachio factory.
