GBW all the weigh (get it? lol) It completely improves your work flow all you need your scales for is to weigh your extraction - awesome - have ordered one
The grinder I was waiting for ! I didn't know this grinder existed. Thanks to your video, I ordered it instead of the Eureka mignon Specialita. Thanks for sharing 👌
Besides the difference in weight versus time, in a cup, is it better than the specialita which is in 55mm burrs? Will the price difference be justified if the result in cup remains the number 1 criterion?
Grind by weight is a nice feature, won't improve grind results as such, just improves consistency if you are not weighing out. Hope this clears up the question :)
I run a mobile coffee van business in England. I've been operating for 2 years and throughout I've Bern using a Sanremo Evo grinder which grinds by timer. Although impressed with it at first I've found it to be a machine that is very inconsistent and I'm wasting a lot of coffee each day due to my constant adjusting of the grind plate and the grind timer. Would this Eureka weight grinder be ideal for mobile coffee vans, especially with constant changes in temperatures?
the problem with all time based grinder is that it requires consistency of how heavy the beans are in the hopper. if there isn't enough beans the grinder will produce inconsistent results.
You could, depending on the funnel. Something like a Wormhole Funnel fits nicely, you just need to drop the bottom section of the portafilter support. I actually use a worm hole on the XL too, as you can also tamp thought it after.
You can from a grinder stand-point, yet portafitler support which weights the coffee really designed for espresso. Would need to check if they have an adapter for a coffee canister.
This one is still pre-production model, so may have slight variances on production model, but should be super close to production specifications at this stage. We are expecting to have them at around AUD $1350
Hi You are really nice and try to explain very nicely but your accent is a little annoying 🤣 please try to moderate it. You will be champion 🏆 !! Thanks for the review. Really like it

You are welcome!
I got the specialita 5 months ago :(
Thanks for the review!
I would love to know how it compares taste wise against the Oro 65 and the Mahlkoning x54 :)
Would this grinder work with 54mm portafilter?
Please make comparison with the Niche Zero :D

@@CoffeePartsTV ... no ...
Eureka Mignon XL or this Libra?
GBW for me, can't wait to see this model in NZ next year
It's awesome! GBW makes the workflow soooo much easier

Does it work with a bottomless portafilter as well as a dosing cup?
Looking on construction of fork, I'm 99% sure it will work with bottomless portafilter. But maybe there will be problems with dosing cups.
Can you fit a fennel on top of the portafilter when using it on the Libra? This is needed to avoid coffee spill.
You could, depending on the funnel.

@@CoffeePartsTV Thank you :) that makes it even more appealing.
Is it also advisable to be use for drip at french press or just espresso?

For those use-cases theres a lot cheaper options
The portafilter holder has been upgraded, and it looks like the grinder dial has as well. Do you have a price or price range for this model?

@@CoffeePartsTV Thank you for the quick response.
I bought one for 668€ in Europe.
No one will answer this question…Have Eureka fixed the issue where the grind dial zero position changes after cleaning?
We haven't tested this, yet will look into it.
Any update?@@CoffeePartsTV
Thanks for the video! Is a gbw grinder for 65mm (oro) planned?
I believe so, and I have asked for it!
Would a 53mm La Spazial portafilter work with the Libra’s holder?
No.. Its only for 58pf
Just for clarity, it doesn't use blades, but burrs, as any decent coffee grinder.
True, I interchange those two names, but yes, burrs :)
finally!
It's coming! And it's awesome :)
I would like a video of that espresso machine that looks sexy.
We have actually done a video on it :)
