  • Setting up the front bumper has been a bit of a process with a few iterations as the car has developed further and future away from a street application to an endurance racing dedicated setup.
This is the [UPDATE] which came before members only webinar '289 | Optimizing Brake Temperatures', details on membership below.
Tim also runs through some of this along with the height setup in relation to the front splitter, which can be a bit of a nail biter when it comes to making sure it is in the right window to do it's job, but not so low that what is an expensive part can be too easily damaged.
Also touched on are some common driver errors, anti-roll bar setup and where current course development is at.

WEBINAR INFO: The optimum operating temperature of a set of brakes is critical and there’s a lot more than initially meets the eye when it comes to understanding and tuning brake temperatures. In this webinar we’ll talk about brake cooling and why temperature is so important.

Some cars have a higher front end opening for the radiator, in my case a 72 Chevelle, Would it be beneficial to close off the grill and duct in air from lower down? Car has the bumper extended lower to the ground with a splitter. Love the tech!

Hey guys, do you have an update on the built FA20 you guys did with just rods? Keen to see what happened to that motor

@Angus Outram that was a while back now eh! It was 100% fine and used for sprint races, then we turned up the boost and found the limits of the head gasket/s.
The worked replacement for it which Andre has been collecting parts for over the last 5-6 years (but lacked motivation to build since the current one never had any issues other than those rods when using anti-lag) is now being pushed through due to that =)
I don't know what it was bumped up to but it was at around 1 bar and over double the stock output for years without cylinder sealing issues before that.
When that FA20 build is released I'm sure Andre will give a rundown on things too - Taz.

Wouldn’t titanium skid blocks create an awfully hot shower of sparks?

No matter what you do to that 86 Andre, it's still costing more per mile than DOCILE does. 😛 So hurry up and get her back on the track and retake the Evo record. 😉 Don't make me peer pressure again. 😈

I reckon! DOCILE is in Andre garage at home now just to give you a wee update 😉 - Taz.
