Staff has a better spike damage, as the marks are unblockable with the trait, and also skill 4 deals a LOT of damage, and skill 5 is a big aoe CC. However, greatsword skill 4 helps a lot with the strips, which often times lack in the squad, and skill 5 is a huge ranged pull which can really win fights if you manage to land it on people with no stability. I have never been a GS lover, but the utilities it brings are just too good to skip, you can run staff if you need more damage, which you shouldn't, since there are other classes which do more damage and only damage.
@@Psikick4 thank you! The best damage dealers are berserker and holosmith, but holosmith is not very easy for a beginner. Go berserker or reaper or Dragonhunter; if you need, i made a video on all of them recently :)

At first the vindicator was too hard, but I'm liking it more now as I'm learning. I boosted the guardian to dabble with support, but I've been curious about DH.
brother always is fun and enjoyable to watch your videos... keep the good job and presentation up... have you ever thought of uploading videos with builds for roaming or small scale groups? would be helpfull for players to take some advise while watching you cause all players not prefering zerg fights... ty
Thanks for the motivating words! I don't do roaming, sorry. I could do some smaller scale for sure, but 99% not inferior to 15vs15 or something like that. There are many good roamers on UA-cam, like Guildjen and Vallun, if you want :)

Holosmith is in a great spot right now: it has probably the best spike damage in the game, low cooldowns, mobility and a crazy cleave. Most of the damage you see on arcdps is given by the elite skill, which creates a huge pulsing field which can hit up to 30 enemies, but holo main strength is the crazy burst damage you unleash to generate downies. @@Gleandra I don't do pve anymore, but for wvw i can say it's pretty played in EU, especially in my server, and the arcdps numbers are just insane, with huge spikes and overall the best dps.
