I suspect dual swords are going to change reaper and Necro in general quite a bit.
Greatsword being Reaper's trademark is a little sad because outside of skills #4 and #5 and situational usage of #2 the rest is lackluster. With barrier scourge now using greatsword let them handle the pulls and strip field.
Dual swords are potentially a good replacement for a number of reasons: you have range on both weapon sets and the double mobility it offers means you can get to your target without having to go into shroud and #2. Drop wells, sword leap to target > shroud (and procs) > usual DPS > #2 to chase ≥ leave shroud > second sword leap back to group or at another target.
Necro won the Soto weapon reveal lottery.
Yeah swords seem to have interesting skills, but we also gotta see numbers (damage/range/cooldown) . And don't forget that we are just getting a beta of the new weapons , not the whole release, which will happen like at the end of february 2024
@@metallonegw2283 in beta swords were shit, low dmg, high hp cost, so we can only hope they are going to change them :D
Finally a new video!
Ehi it's just been a week :D
I played but 10 hours in wvw as lol 80 necro but without elite skill and I got my butt whooped, then I studied many videos and combos and now I use greatsword reaper with staff and I am melting people. As long as I keep staying on top of them grinding away usually they can't get out of it and it's great, in zerg mode I have to play smarter and pick and chose what I do because I notice when I get close and start melting someone their team will quickly try to take me out. So when I start feeling out numbered or want to play safe I'll get back and use staff and spam wells and skills and it seems to work much better since I started using a build like yours. I haven't tried axe or dagger so I have to play around with it. The thing I don't like is this game is hard to rig up a controller and if I want to be successful in wvw I have to push many buttons, swap weapons, in and out of shrouds and the layout of buttons is rough and mistakes can be made but practice makes perfect
Never tried a controller, however necro doesn't have too many buttons to press, you just need to get used to it ;)
When it comes to controls it's all about the muscle memory.its all happening almost itself.im using couple of skills with mouse.not just moving/looking around.
my stats with scholar runes and mix of mostly assassin and mara+dragon with Scholar runes-> power 2417 crit chance-> 79.23%(without fury) 233% crit dmg, 22,672 health
Better crit damage and similar power/hp
you don't get weakness n stabilty if you don't hit the enemies , but hitting the enemies also means u stun them ...the two go hand in hand
Mind to elaborate?
ty!!!🥰
Problem with the relic is that you cant really controll when it procs , since once you start stacking it you get stacks automatically. If you could somehow time it to get the effect in the burstphase it would be much better imo.
Very true, but it's kinda easy to build stacks and have it up for most of the fight
I actually tried it in a raid today and it felt better than i expected. Good suggestion, ty :)
What do u think about Mabon Relic in this build?
I don't think the 25% might buff is worth losing all the stacks when there are relics which offer more and with 0 downsides. Also, imagine your supports prestack might before a fight, you could lose that might before the fight even starts. And even if timed properly, i doubt 25% more might effectiveness is better than some other relics.
Thx for the info :D@@metallonegw2283
29:10 arc padding at its finest :D .
As a Necro main this is my go to build as-well albeit im using assassin +dragon gear+scholar and I have 75% crit chance which is fine with food and fury will get too close to 100%
Doesn’t the one trait give some crit chance?
Have you ever tried running Sigil of Fire on your Greatsword? I've been testing it quite a bit and sometimes after the zerg fight I have 7-8k damage from it, sometimes I have even more. So I think this is a very good option.
I didn't, i think having a flat 5% damage increase from sigil of force is overall better
I am using both, Sigil of Force + Fire. Give it a try. Let me know what you think@@metallonegw2283
I would still use Force over Fire. It overall adds more damage and Fire will eat up unblockable stacks.
If we die, will our items drop or disappear in WvW?
No, lol.
Ok thanks bro
@@sirarumanlyman are you a metin2 player?
what is metin2 ?
@@sirarumanlyman an old mmo where you could lose your gears if you died
What weapon/s can I use instead of greatsword? I really feel is too slow and if the group moves skill 4 goes to waste.
Sadly, there is not much choice. I always loved staff with unblockable marks trait on soulreaping, skill 4 being an aoe unblockable big damage dealer. I don't like much GS either, but skill 4 and 5 are kinda strong
Ty for your reply! Fan of your builds 🙂!@@metallonegw2283
