- This is a rare event, most of the time, the entrance won't be there. In such cases, you'll have to wake up and walk all the way back to the said entrance again.
Remember those old Halloween movies? This is pretty much the same. Get caught, and you're dead.

I actually got this on my second try. When I got to smile, he didn't chase me. He just stood there. I literally said, "Aww hey friend. You aren't so bad, are you?" then I tried to hit him with the pipe and he smacked me with the hammer -_- lol
I don’t think he chases you on rust

When I got here, the Kaibutsu that's 3x faster than broom was blocking my way to the next area. So I distanced myself from him and, not knowing he had the speed he did, blinked my ghost off and back on. I lived, but holy shit I jumped out of my chair. Worse than a jumpscare in any game, did not see it coming at all. Same with the rare event in the Alleyways, at the northwest side of where you spawn down the long alley that gets darker. Phew.
When I first did this, I was pretty much saying "oh crap" multiple times.
Then followed by directly walking into Smile and said "Hi Smile!"
Then I let out a screech when he hit me. D:

I wouldn't exactly call it better than Yume Nikki, but yes, it's incredible.
At the beginning of the video, the room he's in, looks like a copy of Madotsuki's room from Yume Nikki.

1:41 and 1:53. I tried to leave the room, but you really can't escape. And I checked all routes, there's always an enemy waiting to kill you or a dead end in other paths.

It's a little late, but...
I think the person who really went on a bloody rampage through the school with a pipe was Sabitsuki.
The dreams in .flow seem to be Sabitsuki's repressed memories. I think this one was about her and Smile attacking one another once they had finished off the others.
Alternatively, notice that Smile's hair is Sabitsuki's exact sprite but in black...

Why does the Nexus change colours?
hello person from 10 years ago! you probably don't care at this point, but i have an answer lmao.
the nexus changes colors depending on how many effects you have collected. there are 7 nexus variations in total: if you have less than 14 effects then you can only see 1, 2 and 3. if you have 14-19 effects, you can see 1-3 as well as 4. if you have 20-23 effects, then you see 1-5. collect them all and then you're able to see #6 on top of that! the 7th variation is orange, and according to the wiki it's unknown what actually triggers it to appear.
