I’m a fan of your color palette 🎨. Off white, browns and black but with some extra metals in there too

My favorite place for art is Perigold. I love that offer oversized pieces to make a BOLD statement!

Don't forget that you can skip having a rug, especially if your space is small.

I love the proper height of artwork (eye level for the average height), That being said, a rule of thumb is that the TV should also be at eye level for “seated” people - above the fireplace is so wrong for people having to look up when seated. (Probably perfect for standing but who does that?)

I buy art from a local art gallery that sells artwork from local artists. I love to hear the story behind the art.

It is often suggested that you should hang curtains high to make you room look taller. If you want your ceiling to look lower should you hang them just above the top of the window. Not everyone wants their room to look taller, I hate the height of my ceilings

Sourcing art? Why not go to juried member shows of art leagues?
You get original artwork for a fraction of the price. You can also contact local artists for a commission piece.
I’m an artist working with oil paint. There are artists everywhere. It’s also fun when you know the artist. It gives the art an interesting story to share with your friends. A conversation piece.
And you have something original that you won’t find anywhere else.
I do t understand why interior designers don’t mention this.
Original art elevates your decor.m big time.

I agree. The room looks cold and outdated. The first thing I noticed. Bare walls and an outdated shelving unit stuck in the corner. No creativity or style.

Some experts say ghostly unsettling white and dreary gray and blah beige are out. Color is in. I'm so relieved and overjoyed by that.

The room behind you looks boring and character non existent.
