It's cool that you don't get too attached to your RCs and sell them so someone else can send em', rather than letting them sit on a shelf. I always wonder what the maintenance cost looks like on these large scale RCs from sending them to the moon repeatedly.
But hey, you can always decide to get another one. Personally, your X-Maxx content is among my favorite RC content on UA-cam, period!
I do this also just because I’m limited on room and too many cars would be too much to keep track of for maintenance and parts etc. it’s always hard to sell them but I just remind myself a new one will come along

@@mikehaberski4596 ya it is hard to sell any of them for me. But yes I prefer to be running them in the nice months rather then working on a bunch. Lol that’s always the case I tell her I do well selling them on eBay when really I usually only recooperate half to 2/3rds the cost. Buts it all part of the fun and hobby I think. Just moderation. I used to have a lot of rc cars. Now I’m down to 5 which is good for me now.

Thunder, do you have an actual parts list of the mods, drive shafts, wheels, etc that you have on this X-Maxx right here in this video bro? I mean everything? Im gonna get one after Christmas. I have 4 nitro's, but no time to really mess with, as i am very harsh on my RC'S! I have been eyeing the X-Maxx for a while. Finally gonna pull the trigger and do it!

Never thought I'd say Traxxas has the best RC lol My first RC was a Rustler back in 2000, the electronics were complete garbage and the turning radius was terrible, so my first experience with Traxxas was pretty bad to say the least, 😂 I have to say they have come a long way...
Traxxas should send you parts or XMAXX weekly.

I agree with you on the Xmaxx being the GOAT. I’ve owned a lot of Arrma stuff. 3s and 6s rigs. Sold completely out of everything but still own one and that’s the Xmaxximus ☺️💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I tried the mod as well, but the gear at the end, that goes into the front diff, kept trying to pull out and messing up the mesh. But he has the THUNDER, so it’s different. 😂

In my experience the Xmaxx will keep going until totally wrecked but after a bash I always find cracks that lead to bigger problems just a fact. Great truck but I'd rather know something is broke than hidden breakages and snapped chassis.

I never burned out the stock motor in my XMAxx brother 👍⚡️⚡️Stock motor is awesome in the XMAxx if you hear it properly and don’t run massive heavy tires.

I'm curious about something. About 3 months ago you did a video on the Outcast EXB V2 praising how durable it was. In the title you even asked "toughest rc car ever?" Did you start experiencing more failures after that video that made you decide to sell it? I'm asking because I'm on the fence between buying one of those vs the X Maxx. For the average person that won't be doing near the level of bashing you do which one do you think gives the best bang for the buck out of the box? Always enjoy your content.
Outcast is amazing amazing no doubt but it is way less forgiving than the Xmaxx. It will break a lot if you bash it daily. Xmaxx is the best all around because it is so freeking tough! It doesn’t break much at all. Both trucks are awesome but I can’t afford to maintain that Outcast 8s. Parts are too expensive and it breaks all the time when sending it. Only way you don’t break it is when you land right 🤣🤣🤣 So Xmaxx is the clear choice for me!💪⚡️⚡️⚡️

Those little upgrades are not needed and are not worth the extra 500 bucks they charge for them. Buy yourself a regular Xmaxx and just go send it!!!💪⚡️⚡️⚡️

I had a x maxx thing was ALWAYS broken a lemon? Possibly but that thing was horrible if it wasn't the steering it was diffs.

Jump landed kinda one sided but not bad , snapped the front end off the chassis ! ABSUGULOOOOLY crap ! The weight of those metal arms not good for that stock chassis at all !! Still running the stock servo? I’ve been wanting to put a nice 1/10 servo in mine to improve the steering.
Buy the $30 metal gear kit for the servo......replaces the plastic gears....same as the upgrade Traxxas servo
I’m wanting stronger steering. Not a problem with the gears. I just want more steering. In the fields we run in the xmaxx is a dog when it comes to steering.

I watched so many videos like this. Most honestly i absolutely don't understand the point of this high jumping. I don't find it fun, exciting, enjoyable, nothing... All i find is a stressing whether it is gonna break or not.
