Great video … I watched it as I wanted to see how different folks asses the results of Humic acid use. Your lawn is beautiful even with ,as you say, heavy use. You mentioned you had dogs and that brings me to the reason why I started using Humic acid. Where I live there are lots of dogs around and short of being that guy waving his fists at dog owners I decided to employ 2 strategies. Signs “don’t poop or pee” and this product with Kelp. The fact that you have dogs doesn’t show in your beautiful lawn and I believe the Humic acid is the key. Dog urine has salt, is acidic, and of course the nitrogen. Humic acid neutralizes the salt as I understand it so you are not getting the brown spots (dead grass from salt) . Thank you for the Demonstration .
Dude! Your backyard is looking fantastic. Really love how you are getting things "plumb and square". This is so important. The pH and micronutrients are super important for a grass. And you answered a question that I asked in another YT video - you did indeed do a soil analysis. Awesome stuff, man!
Looking good! I put down some humic late spring and my lawn loved it. Filled out super thick with barely any fertilizer and it’s still super green after all the heat we’ve gotten.
Your lawn is amazing. I hope I can revive my lawn to look like yours. I will be a happy camper. My soil is very compacted . It was filled with a lot of moss, plus the winter really damaged the grass this year. I just started using soil loosener, next week I will start the Humic acid, renovation will start in September. Great job.
I ordered same brand humic acid that you just applied. I also ordered an Ortho Dial n Spray applicator, appears to be identical to yours. I will be applying my first application this weekend. Your lawn looks amazing. I live in Atlanta and soil here is like the hard compacted clay that your screwdriver would barely penetrate. I am hoping to get same results you got. I would love to have my soil that loosely compacted. I have bermuda in front yard and zoysia in the back yard. Thanks for the video.
Applying the humic acid will definitely transform your soil over health and loosen it up big time. My soil was hard as a rock before I started treating it and in bad shape. I hope you get the same results I did. Good luck with your yard
The lawn looks great bro! I’m going to start my backyard renovation in October. I’m going to use your videos to help me with my journey. I’ve watched every one. Keep up the good work.
Your lawn looks great both in the front and the back! Your hard work is paying off!! I was curious about the benefits of humic acid. Thanks for explaining how it can improve the soil!
My new house came with sod. I just learned that I have soil like yours underneath the sod., My sod came with hard black soil about 1.5 inches thick...as tough as a bad steak! I am going to start a regular program of some liquid soil loosener, Andersons Humic DG, Milorganite, and maybe liquid compost. I figure once I get that black soil sod layer loosened up, it'll thrive like yours looking for that moist sandy soil.
Thanks for all the info on soil types and maintenance its greatly appreciated BUT of course I think you’re lawn looks amazing and to say you have animal traffic wow I remember the brindle puppy u had some vids back I’d love to see your dogs I’m a pitbull fan myself 🐶
@@LawnAmateur I had alot of nutrient lockout and pH issues because of hard city water. I put down NeXT HUMIC12 at 8lbs/1k, and I noticed my lawn getting super dark green and thickening. Like you said, the soil softened too.
Darrell the back is looking great! I have been applying humic to my lawn too and it is helping. Have also tried too dressing with compost? I am going to do that this year (if my back cooperates lol). Great video!
I have been following you now for a few weeks and I have no need to follow any others, you are the best by far! I overseeded with Kentucky 31 tall fescue 2 months ago and already applied some fertilizer one time 3 weeks ago along with humic acid for the root system. I just now applied E-corganite from Menards a clone to Milorganite, I tell you it looks identical pellet size, color and all. Also made in WI. Should I also apply another a round of humic acid (watered in type)? My lawn was not great before the overseeding and I only used Scotts turf builder once in the spring, so really never been taken care of. Thanks.
Hey man your TTTF looks awesome, like it was painted dark green. I'm gonna order me some of that humic acid that you are using. Just the video I needed to make sure it's legit.
Looks good! our corner lot gets sun 24 seven and the heat has been over 110 for a week now in 100 ,looks like its dead have sidewalks all around ,should I use that to help or fert.
U could use the Humic Acid but wait until the sun goes down first because you could possibly further burn the lawn if you apply it in the heat of the day.
your lawn looks good I just put down scotts turf builder thick'r lawn 3 in 1 . Do you think I can put down some ironite now. Or how long should I wait to put it down?
Thanks for another Awesome video. I have both a pump sprayer and the orto hose sprayer. It would seem like the pump sprayer may apply the humic better but wanted to get your thoughts. Thanks
Got to love the Deep green Fescue gives. What brand did you go with ? I definitely get a better green when adding humic to liquid iron. Better penetration.
When I was applying it consistently I was applying it every 2-3 weeks. Thats what I did to my front yard and what I started on my backyard last season. And it definitely helped my yard out big time. My soil needed the help bad.
Can i apply this at same time as the bioadvanced root moisturizer. I have bermuda grass dealing with heat stress. I do water twice a week the right amount but i think it needs help with the 105 plus degree temps
Just stuck a 6" screw driver in my lawn and it went down 3" before hitting hard ground. I know I watched one of your vides where you say it needs to go down 6" deep. What would you recommend I do today being Nov 9th. I live in Southern Indiana, temperatures are mid 50's day, 30's night. Thanks.
3" inches into the soil is not bad at all. That just lets you know how deep your grass roots can develop. Is the screw driver hitting a rock or the ground surface?
So I did a complete renovation with Kentucky bluegrass 3 years ago and I am not happy with it. Grass looks outstanding in the spring and fall but sucks in the summer heat no matter how much I water with timer. So after a lot of research I plan to kill my grass again and start it over with your grass type. I already ordered the best seeds from seed super store. How does your grass hold up in the hot summer ?
My grass hold up wonderful in the summer heat. It does get a little bit heat stressed at times but never looks too bad and we have real hot humid summers 90+ degrees.
