Saw these guys perform downtown Minneapolis last week. Like Orpheus speaking to the soul of Eurydice, he summons something few people even know is still there. Lets put it this way. I clapped so hard my right hand was black and blue in the morning.
...also at Minneapolis show, 4 song encore - EPIC night! You could tell the band was really into the crowd and came out and greeted after. Played right through PA and equipment failures, total pros! If you've never seen the Buffalo in person you haven't experienced live music.
His voice has even more grit and rawness live, I love it. Many of his songs sound more agressive and rock and roll here as well, which I like. I would LOVE for him to release a live album on vinyl. With highwayman on it. His rendition of highwayman is my favourite song, but it isn't on any of his records.
