@@ChiefHerzensCoach this guy worked his ass off and edited and animated all the sheet music on it. its not a lazy rehash/steal of the original livestream. maybe you should actually WATCH the video before commenting 😂😂😂
The animated score is superficially pretty but for experienced musicians useless in practice. A trained musician reads notes in groups (of 4, 6, etc., according to the barring) and each group in advance of its being played. Whole bars need to be perceived in advance too.
@@windowbar Yes, I expect you're right. But as a trained musician myself I find it very disconcerting and just wish that it wasn't there -- then I'd have a much clearer view of the players.
Obviously there are quite a few technical flaws in his performance (especially compared with the other pieces), and what Ziyu He told them - that you can hide lots of technical deficiencies behind Paganini's "fireworks" - clearly comes to play here, but it's still so impressive that he managed to get it to this level within *two* weeks. That's insane! Major props to him for managing that (and for having the guts to do it too). I'd like to hear it "fully practiced" with proper preparation time sometime in the future.
@@atlas6283 They mentioned it in their short Q&A session at the end of the livestream. Brett said he brought up the idea of Eddy playing La Campanella for the encore a mere two weeks before the concert. I wouldn't say he only had two weeks to "study" it tho--he's obviously learned it before, if only for the Sell Out video. But even then, only having two weeks to practice the piece for a live performance with a full orchestra is pretty impressive.
I don’t have crap to say about Eddy. The reason hundreds of thousands of people started playing the violin and are streaming certain violinists - is because they got the green light from Eddy and Brett. It’s not because Deutsche Gramophone has amazing promotion. Those days are over. Just keeping it 100 w/you guys. Now on to Eddy: Okay there were some very roughly spots, particularly when even the most mundane violinist on this level is able to play without you noticing they are struggling in certain spots. With that being said, I’ve heard YoYo Ma make what some might have thought was a mistake; I’ve heard Midori struggle through a passage. It happens. Mistakes will always happen. The goal is to limit them and to conceal them as best you can. So, I do think Eddy is more than capable of nailing this piece, he just needs more than two weeks of practice. But as time goes by, if Eddy and Brett continue to perform at this level, with major orchestras, in a few years they should be able to turn out stellar performances and by then they should also be better at concealing errors from the audience.
I feel Eddy and Brett have decided to focus more on their musicianship in the last months/year, and good on them. They are showing that there’s more than one pathway to share your music with the people, good on them.

Omg this makes his accomplishment so much greater to those of us who don’t play an instrument! Thank you! Also, if the middle part is all “double stops”, is it called “quadruple stop” when he plays 4 notes at once?
who ever transoposed this good job but dont movr it so much just get a blue highlight to focus on the note thays being olayed at the moment cus i was trying to play along as a bassoon and the thing moving kept threoin me off beat
It’s like a skilled English major finishing an end of the term paper in two weeks when they were supposed to spend a few months on it. It’s difficult to get the same quality.
The fact that Eddy only had 2 weeks to practice it… He’s a Ling Ling no doubt
I thought the whole la Campanella part was made up on the spot because of the audience…
Definitely no 😂 it takes practices and rehearsals
Agree
..i think it was more tho
still very impressive! under a month?? insane.. such an inspo these guys
Yeah ikr, it's giving argerich vibes (cause she only has 1 week to practice ravel's scarbo)
They should definitely do more of these serious with orchestra concerts, they are so great.
@@ChiefHerzensCoach bro are you blind its not a reupload he did the work to make it original

Despite that, Eddy still did amazing. That's the kind of stuff I want to do if and when I get good at the violin.
Agree
ziyu he told them? is it a yt vid?
😊
When I read that he had only TWO WEEKS to study and practice this piece my mind blowed! He nailed it.
where did you read that

Though I suppose he had learnt part of it for the sell out video, its not like the whole piece with orchestra!
Eddy is amazing, but I absolutely love the use of the triangle to prolong the false harmonic
lol same
Eddy is frickin insane for attempting this and actually sounds awesome in just 2 WEEKS of practice, He's a Ling Ling confirmed
2 weeks at 40 hours a day is 560 hours -- not bad
I like that everytime the tringle joke the amount of pepole laughing are less

Eddy you make me proud, you don't only play the two bars, you play entire concerto, entire Campanella!
in all that comedy that twoset make I always forget that they play the violin on professional level!
the triangle is the most important person in the orchestra
This is so fascinating to watch, wow. But also, those little notes throughout are sending me 😂😂
Eddy slayed so hard during this performance Brett to

Omg this makes his accomplishment so much greater to those of us who don’t play an instrument! Thank you! Also, if the middle part is all “double stops”, is it called “quadruple stop” when he plays 4 notes at once?
It’s just a four-note chord. Standard chords are three. Only double-stops consist of two notes.
No its a chord
Nope. 2 notes is a double stop, 3 or more is a chord.
whoa. what did you use to do this? not by hand, right?
I’m guessing they put the actual sheet music of the piece into a program, then just messed with the timing so it would all line up
Generate the frames with a little program, then synchronizing to the audio and further editing by hand
Ngl i can hear Paganini singing

Why yall saying he only practice 2 week? They been training for years. They only need to break youtube to focus on violin only

bruh
When Paganini composed a literal Concerto for a Violin but refused to call it a Concerto.

lmao subtitles are killing me zzzz
I was totally expecting to hear BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREAAAAA

Sounds like the beginning of the song Shutdown by black pink.
Yes because BlackPink sampled 'La Campanella' in their song.
Bc they sampled it
It doesn't sound good when they do the bow bounce 😬

Who's the genius behind the idea of blocking the screen with the piano score ?
it literally says asm on the title, animated sheet music
Yr joking, right?
Who is the genius who watches a scored video (asm) and then complains about it being a scored video ?
You ccould go watch the original video, I guess
Eddy and his partner are sadly not at par hillary hahn and the like. But sure they popularized the music of before - classical..
