I remember that feeling. And it's exactly why I let my daughter try to do whatever (not dangerous) thing she wants to try. Can she always do it? No, because she's three. But it lets her learn her current limitations, shows her that Mom will always be there to encourage her (and help her), and she learns something so next time she can do better at the thing. I listen to her when she speaks to me, and we both, as her parents, talk to her like a person and not a baby. Kids understand a lot more than people give them credit for.

I'm one of your older (oldest?) viewers as I'm getting close to sixty. Over my life, I've noticed that many young men who whine about women choosing only the attractive men are completely missing their fundamental hypocrisy. These guys who do little to improve themselves are constantly pining for "bikini models" as if they are somehow entitled to them by virtue of what? Their sparkling personalities? Meanwhile, they ignore and denigrate women who are not conventionally pretty, overweight, have bad skin, or are similarly more in their league, who just might be fun to hang around with or get to know as people. From what I can tell, it all comes from hatred of women and hatred of themselves, because they will never even try to grow up and make a life.

I'm ashamed to admit that I was kind of a part of this community for a little bit. I'm a trans woman and at the time I didn't really understand my feelings so I just felt this resentment of women because they got to be women while I was stuck in a man's body. Instead of working on my own issues I projected my anger outwards towards them. I was never as bad as Derek here but now that I've gotten the help that I need to become the woman that I was meant to be I can see just how fucked up this ideology is. It doesn't make you feel any better it just makes you more and more bitter and isolated from the outside. Thinking of it like basketball, if you try to shoot a basket, regardless of how good you are at the sport or how close you are to the basket, *you’re never guaranteed a basket*
What you can do is learn the mistakes from what you did wrong the first time you made the shot, practice and learn how to not make that mistake, and then you’ll learn from that instance to help you when you try to shoot again. People don't treat kids like human beings, and when you're young, it's kinda okay because you don't care much about controlling your own life, you just sort go along and have fun and learn how the world works. But once you hit early to mid teenage years, you start having much more capacity and craving to have freedom, to be seen as a human, to do human things and be given responsibility. To be forgiven for your mistakes and allowed to make them, so you can learn and grow. And too much of society really shuns that.
Kids deserve just as much respect as adults, and when they're teenagers, they need to be given responsibility so they can learn and grow and develop without being boxed into this role and infantilized.

I’m a bisexual woman that went through a red pill phase in my early 20’s and I’m so embarrassed about that part of my life…. I truly was in the saddest part of my life with lots of hard change and I wholeheartedly believe that pain inside pushed me to these kinds of beliefs.
